Professional, punctual and good competitive pricing for estimate. Would have absolutely selected them has we not gotten a referral from a family friend for someone else last minute. Although after going with the 'other guy', I am still wishing we had selected Baker Eleman instead. Their bid included things that made sense (i.e. Energy Star products, etc), not just nondescript items to try to bid the price as low as possible.

He was on time when they came out and they did a great job. They have a great selection of products and are very professional when they come out. They are easy to work with, and I was overall impressed with the entire experience.

They returned my initial phone call quickly and sent someone out the same day for an estimate. Since the job was more involved than originally thought, the owner David Elman came and gave an estimate. He explained what could possibly happen with the old brass piping once it was cut into. He did not try to talk us into any unnecessary work, and on the day the work was completed, the plumber showed us how to repack our own radiator valves after fixing the two worst. The employees were all very nice and cleaned up after themselves. I have found a new plumbing company and will definitely use them again as well as recommend them to others.

I called to get an estimate-described problems and got good responses, including a clear understanding of the costs, given and potential. They came the next day, were on time, and got all work done within the hour alloted; also, was sparing on parts, so that material costs were minimized. Did not need to pay on the spot. I got the bill and found that there were two errors on it (forgot Angie's discount, and added 15 minutes more time then was recorded). I talked to the company and they corrected it promptly. Also, they took credit cards. Overall, a very good experience.

Fantastic. While I looked at other home improvement stores, etc., after reading the reviews on Angie's List and reading other user's reviews on the big chains, I felt BAKER ELMAN PLUMBING CO INC. would be a better fit. I got exactly what I was looking for. They took out the old dead water heater and hooked up a new water heaters. They made sure everything was level, and I could not ask for a better service.

My appointment was scheduled easily within just a few days of my telephone call (emergency services were not needed). I was reminded to check with the condo management company about having the water shut off so that the work could be performed. Mr. Elman showed up promptly at 10:00 a.m., the time of our appointment. Of course, the employee from the condo management company was not as prompt, so Mr. Elman proceeded to check out the shower problem. After seeing the building and realizing that it wasn't very old, Mr. Elman thought that there should be a water shut-off in my unit. He proceeded to locate it, turned off the water, fixed the drippy shower in about 15 minutes, turned the water back on, and everything has been fine since. Mr. Elman was very friendly, and didn't make a mess -- I hardly knew that he was there, and there has been no dripping since his repair. His work also seemed to eliminate a water "hammer" sound that had existed before his work.

Sheryl was very friendly over the phone, and said she'd have the plumber try and fix the faucet first, to save me money; if it couldn't be fixed, she'd be sure he had an inexpensive replacement faucet with him, so everything could be done in one visit. When the (very friendly) plumber arrived, he quickly figured out the problem and replaced the ball. The whole thing took about 10 minutes.

I had a leaking shower hot water valve that would not close all the way. When Baker Elman came by, we tried to turn off the hot water shutoff. It was leaking profusely unfortunately due to age, so we reset it to the open position, now the shutoff valve was leaking, and it took the plumber about 20 minutes to get it to stop leaking. We rescheduled for a building water shutdown. The plumbers were very practical, not wanting to create a mess fixing the shutoff valve, we shut down the whole building, just fixed a simple washer in the shower hot water valve (and cold water valve just in case due to age) and called it a repair. Turned out on the original invoice I was slightly overcharged for time, but the owner took care of it when I called in to pay; I was very pleased! The whole repair over two visits took about 1.30 hrs.

The estimate went very well. David was prompt, professional and extremely courteous. He carefully surveyed the second floor area and gave me his opinion and options for installing the half bath. After I received the estimate, I decided to hold off on adding the half bath at this time, deciding to wait until other major work was completed on the house. I did indicate that I would enter into a service agreement in the Autumn, to maintain the heating system.

Scheduling the appointment was easy. This was not a massive leak, so an appointment a few days in the future was no problem and was easily secured. Plumber was friendly, communicative, and efficient. Did a good job of troubleshooting the problem and the leak seems to be gone. Would hire again. Would have appreciated a call before 3:50PM that they would miss the 1-4PM appointment window. Plumber did arrive soon thereafter, however (4:15).

We thought they were a little pricey. They did good work though. They were on time and friendly and answered our questions. We would use them again because of the quality of work. You basically get what you pay for.

A really nice guy came to the house at the time he said he would. He was very professional, quick, and clean and fixed the problem. I know it has nothing to do with plumbing, but the young guy was really good with my dog, which means a lot to me. He even knelt down and petted her and let her lick his face. I know it's a little thing, but it earned him and the company huge brownie points.

I had called for an estimate for running a gas line for our grill, and while the plumber was here, it occurred to me to have him peek at our wimpy toilets. He fixed the flush and wouldn't take our money for that work. The gas line estimate was near where we expected it to come out, though we're still deciding whether we want that work done.

Didn't help me at all. In fact, now the toilet doesn't even flush. When I called the following morning, I received a very unprofessional response and was not helped in the least.

The plumber showed up on time, worked efficiently, and made sure that I knew how to drain the faucet for the winter. I would definitely hire them again.

During the winter we had had several episodes when our pipes froze. I called David to find out what were our options for avoiding the problem in the future. He agreed to come the next Monday, when we would be back in town, to evaluate the situation. Two hours later our pipe burst. He was at the house within 2-3 hours and quickly evaluated the problem. Within about 15 minutes he had identified the site of the leak, made a very small, neat hole in the ceiling so he could access the pipe, and repaired it; and noted that we should add insulation around the pipe to avoid problems in the future. He then spent 1/2 hour with us discussing possible options if more insulation didn't fix our problem. We were able to leave town on time, knowing we would have water when we got home. I won't be looking for another plumbing company in the future. He was terrific and I'll call him for all my plumbing needs.
