They're the best. They were able to diagnose problem over the phone so they didn't have to come out and charge me.

They were very responsive and even offered a discount for the two calls, offering to bill for 1 1/2 visits instead of 2. Unfortunately it took us too long to get the room ready and had to space out the calls 4 weeks apart, thereby losing the discount. Their plumbers were friendly, professional and very fast. My only challenge was that they could not accommodate service beyond normal business hours. With both my wife and I working, this was a challenge.

It went very well all the way through. The plumber was careful and attentive.

All of the jobs they have done in our house (Newton) have been well done. They are professional and always provide good service. The prices are reasonable. We never had a problem with this company and recommend them highly.

My wife was 8 months pregnant and I have two kids under five. We were desperate. Baker Elman was prompt and efficient. They went out of their way to get a part on short notice. Despite my situation, the price seemed fair (or at least I'm blissfully ignorant if they overcharged me.)

John was on time, extremely competent and helpful. He left the area very clean and provided me with advice about some additional plumbing issues.

They came the day after I called because it was not urgent. Fixed it quickly, were friendly and did a great job.

The technician was prompt and helpful. He tried to do as little damage to our drywall as possible and suggested ways to patch the hole. Quick, courteous, helpful, and got the job done.

He fixed everything correctly, but I was less than thrilled with his attitude. He tried to get me to install a whole new toilet but I wasn't yet ready to do so.

It was great, they are very good at what they do, thorough and professional.

The problem was hard to find as it didn't happen until the shower was on for 10 minutes. I was afraid a plumber would have to tear out the tile and the fix would be expensive. Baker Elman did an excellent job of diagnosing and fixing the shower head - at an extremely reasonable price.

Spoke with a plumber over the phone regarding the removal of a sewer waste pipe that was no longer being used. The plumber provided very candid advice to just leave it alone. I appreciated his honesty and would contact this plumber for future plumbing needs. Receptionist was also very friendly and helpful.

Each time I call Baker Elman, I get same day, sometimes same hour service, even in non-emergent situations. They are easy to deal with, and each of the individual plumbers has been knowledgeable and thorough. They have even taught me how to do easy repairs and quick fixes to save money so that I don't need to call them every time!

Initially did not have part on-hand. I picked up the part. They installed it & then said it was factory defective. I returned, got replacement, they installed still leaked & said I needed a 2nd part. They finally got it on the 3rd try.

Plumber finished in the time frame between 9 and 12 am and cleaned up throughly after the job was done. He completed the job in a timely fashion. I was very satisfied.

Everything went well. Plumber was friendly and professional & fixed our leak. Price was a expected. Plumber left our bathroom & basement cleaner than when they started!

Excellent! They came quickly, kept me informed at all times, explained the charges. The plumber was friendly & knowledgeable.

I called them about a leak I was experiencing. I discussed it with the receptionist and then with Mr. Elman. After walking through the events and circumstances surrounding the leak (new pipes in new house, the leak is under a bathroom, the toilet was replaced in the bathroom 5 weeks before the leak started, the toilet guy already pulled up the toilet and examined it but didn't find anything wrong), he advised that I get the guy who put the toilet in to come back and ensure that the toilet wasn't faulty, which he had experienced before (i.e. the seal could be fine, the pipes could be fine, but the toilet might be defective). If I have any problems with the guy who put in the toilet (which, to be clear, is not this company!), I plan to call these guys back.

Prompt response, very pleasant and courteous. Plumber was on time and reasonably priced.

Very good overall. Came when promised, helped with the easy-to-fix jobs and was honest about problems that weren't plumbing related.

I called Baker Elman to report a leak from the water heater and they said they would be able to look at it the next morning. I left the basement door open and they went in while I was at work. They called me at work and told me the water heater needed to be replaced. They called to check that it was still under warranty. It was still under warranty so they estimated a charge of $450; the bill was actually $455 due to fuel surcharge. The water heater was installed properly and cleanly as promised that same day. The experience with this company was top notch.

They were quick and the price was reasonable. They were on time and they seemed knowledgeable. I would use them again in the future.

Their price was a little high, but they did good efficient work.

Work was very professionally done but we were told we would be between 9:00-12:00, and then a little before noon we got a call saying they would be here by 12:30. They showed up closer to 1:00. When we got the invoice there was a discrepancy from the estimate. When I called, it turned out they had changed pricing just that week so they gratefully edited back to the estimate. I will say the estimating process does not truly meet the work done, as I was told that it would be 3 hours of work and a set price for the heater. They barely worked half the time, yet the price was already set. If the difference is that big a gap between actual and estimate, they may need to adjust the estimate. All said, I know this sounds negative but other than the punctuality I felt based on other plumbing work they did a fine job.
