He came promptly when promised and evaluated the problem as not a problem. Then he charged us less than we anticipated. They ARE our plumbers! (They previously solved another problem for us for less than10% of the cost that other plumbers had estimated.)

They show up on time. They do the work neatly. They communicate with me. Everything happened as expected.

Excellent. On a very rainy/snowy day they arrived about 10 minutes. Got to work immediately. Installation was smooth and without a hitch. The price was good to excellent especially with the Angies List Discount. Based on my experience I would like to have them do more work on my building,

I had a very good experience with Baker Elman Plumbing. They were prompt and they seemed to be very efficient. They seemed to know what they were doing. The price was in line with what seemed appropriate.

Very friendly and professional. This was a tricky job because it turned out the very old dryer was dangerous and nothing they had seen before; also they had to work in a very tight space. But they took it all in their stride and did a great job - I felt like they really wanted to do the best job they could.

My experience with Baker Elman began with a good laugh. An F rating because whoever answered the phone had made a joke about toilets? C'mon, plumbers need a sense of humor! So I gave them a try. Clearly their other excellent ratings were well deserved. Within an hour, Mark was here to help with our kitchen sink. While we probably needed a new disposal, he didn't push it, and we saved a few bucks by being more careful. Thank -you. We then scheduled a hook-up date for our gas fireplace, always tricky timing with the contractor. Again they responded quickly to make the connection, followed a few days later by the complete pipe work. Tony and Ken showed-up right on time, were very professional, and very very smart. Nice. As for the price? Who is ever thrilled with that? But the courtesy, punctuality, professionalism...and humor, made the price more than fair, and easy to swallow.

They are excellent and wonderful. They are very polite, quite intelligent and they don?t over charge. They come went they said they would and I called 3 people before them and they all said that they did not have the valve, but they brought the valve along with them and fixed it. Two guys came and the work was completed within an hour and half. I called them in summer because I was having a problem with the thermostat and Elman came out and told me that he did not know much about it and wasn?t going to charge me for the visit.

Service person was pleasant and professional, on time, even gave me a price-reducing tip.

My garbage disposal was no longer working so I called to have a plumber assess the situation, and if needed install a new unit. Two days later the plumber arrived right on scheduled time, showed me that it was corroded, installed the new unit in a timely fashion. I was very pleased about a senior discount.

They came on short notice and did the job quickly and professionally.

Very prompt, very helpful, explained everything I asked about, cleaned up everything fully when he was done. Couldn't fix one thing we wanted with the water heater, but was very professional and acknowledged the issue was beyond his capacity. Made suggestions for future work. We will definitely use them again!!!

I was satisfied with their customer service and with the crew who came out to do the installation. They came out right on time. They came in right on budget. I was pleased that the estimate was accurate. They did a good job with the follow up. There was nothing that really stood out about the project, because it went just as planned.

I found the this plumber on Angie's list and after reading several positive reviews and a few negative ones, I decided to call them. When I called and asked, "If someone could come out and take a look at my toilets" The reply I got was, "I see, you would like us to come out and take a look at your toilets and tell you that you have pretty toilets." After a long pause, I told the individual that I made a "mistake calling" and hung up. If my initial interaction was any indication of the level of service I was going to receive, I'm glad it never went any further. Joke or no joke, you just don't conduct business that way, especially in the trades. I know this as the business manager for a local independent school. I deal with contractors on a daily basis and have never started off a conversation in that manner. Ever.

It went great. The service was punctual, helpful, super fast and he gave me "do it yourself" tips

The repair went fine. The shower valve part had to be ordered. This took a couple of days. As soon as they received it was installed.

They were very good. They gave me an estimate and did the work in a timely fashion. They cleaned up well after themselves. I would use them in future.

My experience with them was terrific. He did the job and didn?t make a big mess. Overall I am happy with them.

David did not end up doing work for me but I was impressed by two things. 1. He was a little late to do the quote but someone from his office called me to let me know. and 2. I was going to replace my boiler and do a gas conversion but he was very honest with me and let me know that my current oil burner was in pretty good shape and was still fairly efficient and did not need to be replaced.

The pump that carries water from my washing machine out of the basement (well below street level) broke and I was unable to do any laundry. Baker Elman was responsive and scheduled a visit within the next two days. They tried to replace the pump but, were unable to get the correct one that day and had to order it. The new pump arrived the following day and they came out first thing to replace it. They were extremely courteous, prompt, neat and I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill. After two separate trips, I expected the bill to be higher than it was. I highly recommend them.

Many problems. Will not use this company again. 1. I told Mr. David Elman's wife that I was installing a new F&P brand dishwasher in place of an old one. If she needed more info before quoting me $250, then she should have asked. I was not witholding any info. 2. The crew was awful. Took hours. Handed a box of extra parts. Sloppy job and they didn't clean up the job site. Sat in parking lot smoking when done. Really unprofessional. PLUS, they had to come back because of THEIR ERROR (there was no water pressure because -- YOU FORGOT ABOUT THAT DAVID!) AND DAVID -- If you want specific things done (power off or whatever) you or your crew should ask PRIOR to showing up. 3. Tried to bill me $450. I immediately call. No return call for 30+ days. 4. David Elman finally calls me on 7/31. Scolds me for not giving him enough info. I tell him that I was not hiding any info from his wife. He proceeds to talk over me and HANGS up on me. How's that for customer treatment? Need I say anything else?
