This past week, we required a new heat pump and air handler to be installed, as our older system had stopped working and we had no heat in our home. Muirfield Mechanical responded quickly to assess our system's needs and subsequently set-up an immediate installation. The estimate was reasonable and done in a timely manner. The installation and information provided by the installers was great. The job was well done and each item on the estimate was addressed. We have and will continue to recommend Muirfield Mechanical to neighbors, family, and friends.

Excellent! The contractors who installed my furnace arrived on schedule, protected my carpeting, went right to work (in a tight space), and finished installation in record time! The contractors were knowledgeable, efficient, extremely polite and professional. I intend to replace my air-conditioning system in the spring and will definitely be calling them for a quote. I have used Muirfield Mechanical for many years. They installed the furnace they just removed back in 1989 when converting from electric to gas heating and I've continued recommending them over the years.

Very happy with Muirfield’s expertise and service in installing our heat pump heating system Muirfield installed a Mitsubishi central-ducted heat pump in our home, replacing oil heat and cutting our carbon footprint. The Muirfield rep was very helpful, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. We got a competing quote from an installer of Carrier heat pumps and, as a result, went back to Muirfield with questions. Muirfield addressed all of our concerns clearly and courteously. We are convinced we are getting better performance for a comparable installed cost. The installers were good to work with and glad to answer all of our questions. To date the system has been working very well, though we have yet to see the coldest days of the year.

We have a uniquely constructed home and two other companies told us one space in particular wouldn't house any AC unit properly but our Muirfield technician found us a solution. We had three units installed and everyone was fantastic to work with from the technicians (who were so polite and friendly) to Linda in the office - the technicians even returned again at a later date when I couldn't remember how to use my Kumo Cloud. They came in among the lowest on the quote and were very helpful in selecting the right equipment and answering all my questions. The install itself was very smooth and the crew was wonderful. It was a pleasure communicating with their Office Manager, Linda. She did all the paperwork for the registration, rebates, etc. Its just installed but the new AC has made us very comfortable. I recommend Muirfield and will absolutely work with them again.

We received recommendations to replace our current system with a tankless hot water system. When the Muirfield rep came to our home for an estimate, they explained the advantages and disadvantages of a tankless system. We got a couple of other quotes from HVAC companies and decided that the competitive, reasonable quote from Muirfield was best. When we asked about rebates, we were told that the office would take care of it - one less thing for us to do! The work was done professionally and efficiently. Within just a few days, we had a new system. From the office staff to the installers, we found Muirfield to be helpful, experienced, and easy to work with. Would highly recommend this company for any HVAC needs!

Three summers ago our single zone A/C died and Muirfield was amazing. I called due to good Angie's reviews and they lived up to it. From first call to finish installed new unit was less than 3 weeks, in the middle of summer heat. HOWEVER, they killed themselves and my business last year when problems developed with the air handler in attic. First, $295/hr. for after hour service, and that applied even when problem was not fixed. $295/hr merely for showing up. It took multiple visits for problem to get fixed with me repeatedly manually draining the condensate overflow when unit cut off. At substantial expense the problem was finally fixed. A new condensate pump had to be installed (among other things)draining onto the roof. It was not until this week when some trim boards were being replaced that that contractor pointed out that the drain pipe exiting the attic had never been caulked at the siding. Terrible, sloppy work. During that time the owners son showed me where the old ductboard supply/return trunklines needed total replacement, it was obvious, and that he'd be back in September when things slowed down to do the job. I called every other day for weeks to get them to come do that job and was continually rebuffed -"we're busy now", "will get to you soon"; NON RETURNED CALLS, etc. Even the owner himself after calling him repeatedly wouldn't come out and say that they did not want the job, only that it would be several months before they could even think about doing the work. While this was going on, I'd asked for a quote on a second central A/C for the rest of the house. Their estimator showed up, did some brief measurements and said he'd email me the quote. I gave up on that after a month of calling and asking when I'd be getting that quote. Overall, while Muirfield talks a good game, in my opinion they can't be trusted to follow through on anything.

This job went very well. It started with a quick visit to outline my needs after which I received a proposal in a few days addressing them all. The bid was competitive and I signed a contract to proceed. A week later the installers appeared and the system was operational later that week. All personnel were professional and left our home very neat. I would definitely use them again for future HVAC needs. A 25 year old central air conditioner and a number of baseboard electric heat zones were replaced with a multizone air source heat pump incorporating a central air handler for much of the house and a local mini split system for another area.

They sent along a big crew and what had been budgeted as a two day job was done in one day which was great. Jeff, the guy who provided the quote, was very responsive and was there at the start of the job. He suggested some warranties that were good to purchase. Linda, in the office, takes care of all the paperwork, which includes rebates. Also very responsive. Their quote was not the lowest I received, but they were reliable and responsive in getting the job done.

Muirfield Mechanical Services, LLC replaced my whole house A/C with a heat pump. They installed a new outdoor compressor, replaced the air handler in the attic crawl space, and installed a new split unit for the family room downstairs that previously had no A/C. They came with 4 workmen who knew what they were doing, were very polite and informative, and cleaned up after themselves and removed the old compressor and air handler. On previous occasions with my older A/C system, they responded quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend their workmanship and attention to detail.

When our central air system broke last year, we called our usual A/C company. They confirmed we needed a new one, but never even got back to us with a quote. I searched Angie's list for some well rated local companies and Muirfield came out for a quote very quickly. The price was so reasonable that we went ahead. Installation was within about a week (thank goodness as summer was ramping up). They literally had a new system up and running before the other two companies could even come out and get us a quote. They were fast, professional, and finished ahead of schedule despite the heat in attic. The office people were great and helped me complete the rebate. We signed on for annual tune ups and had the same experience this year. I highly recommend this group!

After reviewing multiple proposals for air conditioning on the main floor of our residence, we chose Muirfield Mechanical to install a Mitsubishi split system heat pump. Jeff was very responsive to my questions, and was very helpful in the choice of location of the unit to maximize its efficiency. The Muirfield team arrived on time, and worked well together to get the unit in place quickly. The areas both inside and outside the house were not damaged, and left in perfect shape. We worked with Muirfield Mechanical to replace our older furnace and air conditioning unit with new high efficiency models. They came to us highly recommended by neighbors so we reached out to them in addition to the HVAC company we had worked with for service previously. In a reasonable amount of time from our initial call, Muirfield sent out an estimator who gave us a rough verbal estimate on the spot and followed up quickly with a proper written estimate. The estimate in comparison to the other company we considered was thousands of dollars less, called for a shorter installation duration (both for comparable products), and could be scheduled sooner. We elected to move forward with Muirfield and had a great experience with the installation. Jermaine and his team were friendly, considerate of our home, and happy to answer any questions that I had along the way. The installation was completed in the time promised, and the equipment has been working flawlessly for the couple of months since. Additionally, Muirfield processed all of the available rebate forms on our behalf, saving us the trouble of working with Massachusetts agencies. I would not hesitate to recommend Muirfield and in fact have already done so!

The process was great. Nate came out to discuss our needs and offer several options. Once we chose the best option, they came and completed the work without issue. Installers were very friendly and informative and did a professional job. It went so well that we hired them again to install heat to our basement. Nate went out of his way to research the best approach with concerns to cost and efficiency. I would recommend them to friends and family.

We had several quotes for the new central A?C unit and we decided to go with Muirfield Mechanical. As we do not use the AC a lot in Boston weather, we just want something simple and operational. A lot of other companies quote us the multi stage AC units that cost a lot more and we just simply do not need that kind of technology. Muirfield Mechanical quoted exactly of what I needed and the price is reasonable. The scheduling took a while due to busy summer which is understandable. The installation team was on time and the work was done in two days. The electrician came a couple days later to get the wires done. Then, we got a little problem with the communication between the thermostat and the compressor. They sent another technician the next day to fix the problem and everything is up running now. In general, I am satisfied with the overall experience and work. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again
