Chuck was always on time and very professional. He even came out while my insurance adjuster was inspecting to go over some details with him. They were honest about when they could do the work, telling me there were a number of jobs ahead of me.  They kept in touch until my roof was up to be done.  The work went well, and even though there were a couple of relatively minor unexpected issues (my house) the rolled through those correctly and at no extra cost.  I paid them the day they were done, and then it took a week or so to get a detailed invoice from them.  One very minor call-back issue took a couple of calls to get taken care of.   Most importantly, I was very happy with the quality of the work and quality of materials they furnished.

They probably were more thorough.  They explained what they would do when we told them what we needed, what our problems were and they gave us an estimate of $6400 with a discount or $300.  They gave a warrantee of two years but we didn't go with them, probably because it was too high for us.  They were professional overall.  They came out when they said they were going to.

 I talked to several companies; some were eager to take on the job with existing crews (none seemed very clear on exactly how they would do the job), some never called me back (the flat section is 3 stories off the ground and above very steep roof, which probably scared them away). I was immediately impressed with Chuck Chenevert, owner of Livingston Roofing, who, after hearing what I wanted to do, said that he was a roofer, not a carpenter, and that he wanted to bring in a skilled carpenter to bid on doing the structural work. After we had a contract, but before the work was started, I had some concerns over details. When I called Mr. Chenevert, he responded quickly, and took the time to come to my home again--and bring the carpenter back as well. They were both easy to work with, and when the job was finished, we were well pleased. The final cost was in line with other estimates we had gotten, and I feel sure that we got a much more professional job than we might have from another company.
Mr. Chenevert and/or his carpenter subcontractor was on site for most of the job. The roofing crew was alone only for the last few hours. Without supervision, they did not clean up as well as we wanted, and they did a mediocre job with one piece of trim. Mr. Chenevert came the following day with one helper, fixed the trim (as well as a couple of other spots I hadn't noticed) and cleaned up the yard. We were very pleased with the final results.
My only disappointment was that Mr. Chenevert would not tackle a skylight leak that we have (on a separate part of the roof from where he was working). He said that if we wanted to tear out our skylights and replace them with roofing,  he would be glad to do the work, but that he would not guarantee skylight repairs (because "they almost always leak eventually"), and he would not do work he couldn't guarantee. I appreciated his honesty.

Only received a quote, and they were on time to the appointment and use current aerial tools for estimating roof work.

They were very punctual and provided very good service.  They went out of their way to make sure that the job was done right.  They were good and there was nothing that I disliked about them.  It was a good price.

They did a real good service and I didn’t have any problems. Their price is excellent and they charge me the same as everyone else. They were on time. I rate them very highly. I would use their service in the future.

We needed to replace our roof and contacted over 9  different roofers. Mr Chenevert answered all our questions, he found solutions to a problem we had with a part of our roof. He was straight forward and pleasant to work with and knowledgeable. He had hands on supervision and worked hard to ensure we were satisfied with his work. I would easily recommend him to anyone.

Our house had roof damage from Hurricane Gustav. Our homeowner's insurance gave us a little more than $4,500 for a new roof. There was only shingle damage. I called this company because a co-worker had dealt with them. I was told by the secretary it would be a week or so before they could send someone out for an estimate. However, a guy came by a day or two after I called. They quoted me $8,800 for a 20-yr shingle re-roof, plus re-roof an attached porch. The 30-yr shingle job would be more than $9,500. I was quoted $4,400 for the house re-roof only in the spring (well before Gustav). Out of two quotes so far, this was by far the higher.
