Wonderful! I had a backed up kitchen sink. I called in the morning around 9:30 and had a plumber there by noon. He told me it would take about $150 to fix then went to work immediately. No more than an hour later, he had cleared the drain and replaced a faulty plumbing connection under the sink. I paid the technician exactly what he quoted. I had no problems with this experience whatsoever.

I phoned. They said they actually had someone who could come right over (though this was not an emergency, but it was convenient). After a few hours they called, "oops" it would be a little longer. When their person arrived, he spent some time looking under the sink, at parts on his truck, and calling the office before he explained that he was more of a pump specialist and it would be better if a different guy came the following day. This was in the middle of December, a pretty busy time for me and I'd already spent the better part of a day waiting, but we agreed. The next day another guy came, and during several hours replaced the supply lines and some parts of the faucet and sprayer. The line to the sprayer still leaks; I just don't use it. Eventually we need to do some kitchen updating, and I'll deal with it later.

I had used Isley plumbing twice before joining Angie's List and was pleased with them. It was good to see others have been, too. I called on a Sunday eve and left a message about our drain clog problem. They called back early Monday morning and said their worker would arrive between 10-2. I got a call at 2:30pm and they apologized for the delay. Their worker finally arrived at 3:45pm. He also apologized for his lateness and his work was good and professional. He quoted a $166 price before starting the job. Then due to his good work, I asked what it would cost to fix a toilet gasket leak. I accepted his price of $107 and then he quickly did the job. He then discounted the job $20 due to the coupon from Angie's List. He also cleaned up well after the job.

The sump pump pipe repair was wonderful. Dan Gregor did a great job, the leak was not only repaired, but the pipe looks far more stable than it was before. The only minor problem is that the lid to the sump pump hole no longer fits exactly, but I can fix that quick with a jigsaw. That wasn't their fault, I didn't even show Dan the lid! Dan warned me that the kitchen faucet repair may not work before agreeing to the estimate. After finishing the sump pump pipe, he went upstairs and quickly attempted to repair the faucet. He secured one leak (the drainage line under the kitchen sink) and attempted to repair the faucet. The faucet repair did not work, as he warned it might not. However, given that the estimate for this repair (labor only) was $135.91, I expected it to take at least an hour of labor. I don't think he spent more than 15-20 minutes looking at it.

I have been using them for years, I like how prompt this company is. I recently called them because I thought that my hot water heater was leaking and they came out the same day.

Came out and repaired parts in downstairs toilet tank and removed toilet from upstairs bath for remodel.

It went fine. We previously had a 50 gallon, but we needed to get a newer one. With our new tub we just had put in, we needed more hot water. Ron came out and I don't he was here very long. He took out the old one, put in the new one, and that was it. Their price was competitive with others, they had the quickest response time and a little bit larger staff. We wanted to go with a good company because we didn't want to wake up one morning and have no hot water. The quality of the work was good, he was clean and fast. He brought me down there to show me where everything was, the shut off and how to clean. The customer service was good. I didn't feel like they were pushy, because we thought about putting in two 50 gallon ones, but they said that one 75 gallon heater would work just fine. We really liked that about them because other companies were different when it came to that. They showed up on time and did what they said they would. I would use them again.

I called and they came out within 30 min and fixed the problem on the spot. I told them I was an Angie's List client and he took off $20.00 from the price, did not have to even print the coupon.

I had used two other plumbing companies before using this company. I told them on the phone what the problem was and what happened before. They told me that they would send their best plumber. They did! He fixed the problem and I have used them again since.

They have been very good. They are very reliable and very dependable. They have competitive prices with the area, and they are very friendly and very personable.

Professional, high quality repair. Some miscommunication about the location of the job and the requirements for the new line but no problem - employee adjusted quickly and worked efficiently.

He cleared the toilet, and then he made a mess on the newer white carpet when he was exiting the house. He did apologize and he did indicate on his report that he had made a mess and there were a few spots and there were not just a few spots. The good news is that this company called and got a company to call and clean up the carpet, but it was a nuisance of having somebody else is in my house and having wet carpet for a couple of days. L E Isley did pay for it but they only took 10% off of my bill. I don't think that they read the chapter in a business hand book how important it is to get new customers than it is to retain a customer.

We had a minor leak from an upstairs toilet, and we guessed (correctly) that the wax ring had shrunk over the years. We decided to have the wax rings on all the toilets in our house replaced at the same time. I called Isley at 7 AM on a Friday, and they came out the same day at the time they said they would. The plumber said our floors had settled over the years, so he put in double wax rings to make sure the problem wouldn't occur again. We greatly appreciated the extra step, and we thought the price was very fair.

I had to replace a sump pump back up battery because I had failed to put water in the cells of the battery. I have a second pump and back up battery. The plumber said he would check the second battery to ensure it would not suffer the same fate as the first. He said it was fine and wrote he had serviced the battery on my invoice/receipt. A short time later (I do not have my notes in front of me, but I think it was about six weeks), the second battery also died. When I checked the water lever in the cells, I found the cells completely dry. When I called, Isley denied responsibility. The poor girl on the phone said she talked with "Mrs Isley." Mrs Isley apparently talked with the plumber and stood behind his story that he had serviced the battery, including adding water to the cells. Incredibly, Isley claimed the water had completely evaporated in the short time since they had performed the service and that was not their fault. But, they said "since I was such a good customer" they would go back and give me my Angie's List discount on the call they made to replace my previous battery and a puny reduction it was. These batteries are very expensive. Clearly, contrary to his statements, the plumber did not check the water level in the second battery. The water simply could not have evaporated in all cells in the short amount of time between the Isley "service" and the death of the battery. Isley had to have known their defense was frivolous. I thought about filing a small claims lawsuit but decided the hassle factor and bad "vibes" were not worth it. I am saddened to make this report but think it important to keep the list informed. I will never use Isley again.

We were required to pay a trip charge for our estimate, which I don't like to do. We were promised that we would receive the estimate by email in 2 days, but after 4 days we needed to call the company to get the estimate. Because we thought the estimate was high, we sought a second estimate. When that came in even higher, we hired Isley. The two men that showed up to do the work argued with one another the entire time they were in our home. The more senior gentleman cursed at his assistant and called him names. They were, however, polite to us. The work they did was satisfactory.

I called them from the airport because we discovered late the night before we left for the weekend that we had no hot water. The receptionist was professional and understanding of our situation. She scheduled a visit for the day we returned. The plumber determined that our old water heater could be repaired but he had no confidence in that make and model, based on his previous experience. We opted for a new water heater which he promptly installed.

They showed me how to take care of the problem if it happens again, so I don't have to call them again in the future. They are always really good at returning my call if we need an emergency taken care of. They are always prompt. They educate you and give you tips to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently so you don't have to hire them again.

Rep came promptly to repair drain--worked quickly and completed successfully.

We called Isley's about replacing our sump pump. They gave us the best estimate and then were able to schedule us within a week or so, even though it was a very busy time for them. They showed up on time with the new sump pump and all the right parts and tools. They replaced the sump pump within a half hour and cleaned up the mess from the old one.

They are fantastic with old home repairs. They were fantastic and did not complain about anything. Not so efficient with the newer bathroom in the downstairs. They do not have 24 hour emergency. Their forte was the older stuff. I would use them again for the upstairs, older bathroom.

Did a terrific job and were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

Jason, who was our primary plumber, and Doug, my primary contact with the company, could not have been better to work with. The two plumbers we had on-site worked very hard from start to finish. They were outstanding.

Their price was very reasonable. He checked all of the toilets and faucets to make sure they were working properly. I would recommend him and use him again in the future. They came out promptly. Within hours of when I needed them.

They did an excellent job. I have good pressure to the sink now. I had them use copper piping, they did a good a clean job and left everything looking well. The man that came out was very pleasant and any questions I had were answered.
