+ -1 moreThey quoted me an outrageous price and basically said they had plenty of business and plenty of demand and people would pay it. I had a 4 year old in the house. I declined their service and expressed my dissatisfaction, but never filed a review. Now in 2016, I called them for a proposal and they refused citing our 2012 interaction.
Description of Work: In 2012, I called them out for an estimate for repairs on my air conditioner because it stopped working when the temperature was in the mid 90s.

Description of Work: I just wanted the air conditioner replaced. I only wanted to pay $2,000 for the air conditioner and $2,000. for the furnace. The salesman said I would save thousands of dollars by purchasing the more energy efficient one. I was told I would get rebates from the Federal Government, from Vectren Energyand from Duke energy. They did not provide the certificate I needed for the Federal Government so they had to give me another one. For Vectern they said they filled out the form and sent it in, but I called and it had not been sent in.

+ -1 more6 month old air conditioner has broken down and Airtron will not honor 1 year warranty. According to technician: it's frozen up; it was either installed improperly or has faulty parts. Airtron refused to repair or replace this air conditioner and honor the 1 year warranty. I told Airtron I would be reviewing this experience on every review site possible and they didn't seem to care; it did not motivate them to do the right thing and stand behind the warranty on this air conditioner.
Description of Work: Unethical - buyer beware. I bought my condo in Dec.; previous homeowner bought new a.c. with Airtron in September 2015. It stopped working (6 months old;) & they won't honor the 1 year warranty because prev. homeowner (surgeon who performs oral surgeries on pediatric patients in 3rd world countries...kinda busy) did not transfer the warranty to me within 30 days of purchase (what??) That isn't fair to me as the new homeowner as only he could follow through on that and clearly didn't; secondly, why is this thing already breaking down?? The unit passed inspection; the filter was like new when I bought the condo 4 months ago; I had replaced it once; then had a brand new media air filter/cleaner installed after that; so no Airtron, it wasn't a lack of maintenance on my part in the past 4 months that caused this brand new air conditioner to break down. Buyer beware: if they were selling quality products, they'd stand behind them. As I told the lady on the phone: there's what you're allowed to do legally, and then there's the right thing to do. They clearly are not doing the right thing by standing behind their products and work in this situation.
