They did the roof and did a fine job on the roof. They wanted to redo the dormers. I thought the price was high but I allowed them to do it. They subcontracted it out and that person didn’t finish. Finally they sent another crew out who did finish the job. However, they didn’t get the paint color right. The work wasn't finished until winter.

It turned out very good. I was very satisfied. There wasn't anything I disliked. They were very punctual. When I got there, it was very neat. They cleaned up. They did a really good job. As soon as they said they would come out, they came out and did an estimate on it. A few weeks later, they came out and did the actual job. We paid an additional cost because we ordered some additional insulation.

They came out two weeks after I made the appointment. The price would have gone over but we did not want it to go over so we only paid the price of the coupon. They did the service for $99 but they also gave us some good advice on attic insulation. He said we needed a lot more which we will do probably this summer. They were very good. They were extremely polite. They knew what they were doing. The area was very clean. A friend of mine was watching the house while I worked and when I came home, there was no mess at all. It was a very good experience. We were really satisfied. The cost of the deal was A++. They did the job evenly and I looked at it after I got home. I think that coming out two weeks later after the purchase was made is pretty reasonable. We will call them for the job this summer.

Sales manager did follow up inspection on 1/7/15. Did a thorough inspection of the attic. I am completely satisfied and want to changemy first rating.

Very, very fast. He came out, climbed on the roof, and came back down. He said that everything was fine and no service was needed. Essentially the reassurance I was looking for.

Company was prompt in contacting me after purchasing the big deal. The service was scheduled and performed on time. It was a quick easy and pleasant process.

Initial rep came to assess the areas I wanted covered. He was FANTASTIC! He educated me on insulation and answered all my questions. It really felt like he was on my side in getting the proper repairs done for my house. I believe his name was Tim. He was really the face of Cochrane for me, and it was a great experience. Based on my interaction with him I'd trust this company to do additional future work, if needed. Second team came in later to install the insulation. They arrived a half hour early and were finished much quicker than I expected. They were extremely professional as they got right to work and cleaned up as much as they could afterward. Jared was the guy - and he's great. Very happy with the service that Cochrane did and I highly recommend them based on my experience!

He did a roof inspection for me and gave me a quote on some additional work. He was on time, professional and very informative. I was very satisfied with his service and would recommend him to others. I felt the price was a little high, but I knew it was going to be a little costly to have what I wanted done. Jim VanCuren (Quality Control Manager) was very customer oriented and nice to work with.

He was excellent. Took several photos to make sure everything was in order. He even cleaned one gutter I have in the front.

They were good. They also gave us an estimate for other work that could be done but we are still considering it.

The appointment was easy to set up, and the work was done as requested. They told us that our roof looked good and that they made some minor repairs. We were pleased with the service.

The service provider didn't want to do just the $99 worth of work for 500 square feet of attic insulation . He was trying to find more things to do for extra cost.

Vendor showed up as scheduled, was courteous, explained each step and the type of information being gathered. Viewed attic area and measured insulation, took ceiling readings in each of the rooms. Received a report about 7 days later (there was the Thanksgiving holiday in between). The report was complete, explained the needs and provided complete pricing should we wish to proceed with recommended services. The gentleman was very professional and informative.

They came out and measured the top of my garage. The measurement was under 500 sq ft; however, the technician that came out said that the deal only included 3 bags of insulation. He recommended it be 15 inches which equaled R-38 insulation. This also being recommended by the Department of Energy. Total price for this was going to be over $600.00. I feel the wording of the deal was misleading. My understanding was I was going to have a well insulated space for the $99.

There was a leak around our sky light. They said they had fixed it, but we still occasionally have a leak. I was also going to have him replace the roof on our shed and the flashing on our chimney, and he gave us an estimate for the work. We called him to come back, and he never followed through with the additional work we wanted done. He was very friendly though.

I ordered the deal on 10/16 this deal thru Angie's List because of a water spot we saw on our bedroom ceiling. I was contacted the same day to schedule the appointment. He was flexible and scheduled on what was convenient for us. When Neil at Cochran Exteriors came out he went over our ENTIRE roof, not just the area where we saw water. He told us it was just some caulking that had worn away from the nails, which is where water was entering. He re-caulked all the exposed areas across the entire ceiling, which we weren't expecting. Heverbally went over everything he saw on our roof, didn't try to sell us anything, tell us areas should be replaced, etc. Said our roof was in good shape and we didn't have anything to worry about right now.

Crew arrived at the promised time, preformed the repairs, cleaned up after themselves, explained all that was done. The salesman and the work crew are a very mindful of pets, plants, and yard as well as the paint of the house. Professional team!

Mr. Fitzgerald did an inspection of my roof as another roofing company had told me I had extensive hail damage. I needed another opinion, as my home owner's insurance company denied the hail damage claim. Mr. FItzgerald confirmed the insurance adjuster's assessment of my roof. I was quite happy with Mr. Fitzgerald's assessment and report he submitted to me.

It went great and we were happy with them. He did a good job on the roof. He was on time, actually showed up a little early.

It was great. They did a substantial work and they did a good job. There is no more leak in my roof. They were easy to work with and kept their promises.

The actual inspection went well. The salesman came out to our house In a timely fashion. However, this is the only thing that went well about this interaction. He looked at the roof for about 10-15 minutes and recommended that the entire roof be replaced on our house. We purchased our house about 3 years ago. At that time, the inspector said the roof had just been replaced. Not thinking anything of it, we trusted the salesman that the quote he was giving us was truthful. We next contacted our insurance company to have an adjuster come to the house in order to replace the roof. This is when the situation became a little bit hairy. The adjuster came to our house roughly 4 days later. After his inspection of the roof, he determined that the repairs necessary did not even meet our deductible. That same day the salesman was to be at our house in order to discuss the matter with the insurance adjuster. However the salesman was unable to make it to our house. Therefore, another salesman from the same company was at the house and inspecting the roof along with the insurance adjuster. The new salesman also determined that it was not necessary to replace the entire roof on our house. The repairs were deemed to be minor. Luckily our insurance company was nice enough not to file this as a claim on our insurance. If it were to be filed as a claim, or our premiums may have risen. Our frustration with this is that no work was ever performed. In fact, the new salesman did not even leave a quote to us for these so called minor repairs. The insurance adjuster called me and was extremely annoyed that there salesman even recommended a new roof when he and the other salesman disagreed. I think this taught us to get second opinions because it is possible for a certain few to try to a commission on a product that is not necessarily needed (a brand new roof). I tried to contact the company to get a refund or for them to come back to our house to look at our siding (as it needs fixed). However I have not heard anything from them. For our siding needs now, I think we will look for a new company.

Showed up late, spent less than 10 minutes on the roof, then wouldn't provide an estimate for repairs because my job wasn't big enough.

Initial contact was very good. We received a prompt response and walkthrough of the insurance estimate of work to be performed and we had a positive experience up to the point that the work order was signed. It was at this point we made it clear that if there was any damage NOT COVERED, we wanted to know so it could also be addressed and there was a mutual agreement. That is when things quickly fell apart. I had provided Cochran with the contact info of the property manager (who manages our renters) to make sure they could schedule a date that worked for them. This was not done. Instead I got a phone call the day before the contractors were to show up asking if they could park the materials trailer in the driveway. I explained to the job foreman (who I had not spoke to up to this point) that this was a rental property and that we would have to provide appropriate notice to the renters and that it would be better not to park anything in the driveway without running it by them first for risk of blocking them in. The next day, the crew showed up and started the work on the roof. They parked the debris trailer in front of the garage and blocking the tenant in and they ended up missing a day of work because of the poor coordination from the contractors. We escalated the issue and the job foreman quickly resolved the situation but this was very frustrating as we had already caused a problem with our tenant who has been a good renter. Several weeks went by and we were told they had to get the siding matched (which they did). I inquired approx. three weeks later regarding the status of the job and I was told by our salesperson (who I had first contact with) that the work was complete and that we would get follow up to go a walk through of the work that was done. Two more weeks went by and nothing. Then one afternoon I get a phone call from Cochran's quality assurance team asking me what we thought of the work. I was really frustrated at this point. I told the QA person that the communication was very poor, that they did not coordinate with the tenants, that no one had contacted me to tell me the work was done (I had to follow up), and that we were STILL waiting on a walk through. All this person could say was "oh gosh... I'm so sorry... I'm sorry" and CLICK, they hung up. Up to this point, I had reset my expectations, understanding that things happen and just wanted to see this through to completion. A week later I followed up again to do the walk through and found out that the reason it had not taken place was because the work was indeed not complete - that the screens still needed to be replaced. So approx. 6 weeks after the work began (don't have exact dates), I finally met with the QA foreman to do the walk through and he replaced the screens. It was during the walkthrough that there was a softball sized hole on one side of the house that was discovered. In addition, the deck railing was repainted, but the lower trim and bench were not leaving the job looking very unfinished. I communicated to the QA foreman that my initial conversation with the salesperson at the very beginning was to make sure all the work was identified, whether or not it was covered by insurance so we could get a full estimate. All he could do was apologize and offer to take some pictures to get us another estimate. Adding salt to the wound, he added that the work crew would surely have had some left over siding from the work that was done to fix the hole but that any scraps were long gone. It's been a month. No quote ever came through. We have started looking for other contractors to finish the deck and repair the hole in the siding. Extremely disappointed in both Cochran and Angies's List because this company is highly recommended. I can't for the life of me understand how a company that communicates so poorly and drops the ball this many times has such a good rating. On a positive note, from what we can tell, the work that WAS completed as was identified in the insurance estimate looks to be quality work. We have no complaints there. We would have been very satisfied if they could have coordinated better with the tenants, letting us know along the way when work was going to be completed and making sure all work was identified up front and the repairs were fully completed. I would not hire these folks again.
