Bone Dry Roofing

We had a positive experience with one of their estimators, who patiently and professionally answered our many questions. The repairs were completed in a timely manner. We would work with this company again.

Gave an estimate based on insurance claim due to hail and storm damage. Replaced roof. Salesman said they would fix the dip in the roof at the time of old roof removal, either by replacing the decking or sistering the truss and replacing the decking. However, he did not write it down on the paperwork and I made a rookie mistake and trusted his word and BD rep that it woulld be done right. I told 5 other people about dip, one even being the forman upon arrival for the job. He warned one of the workers who was walking near the dip spot on the roof. He said they would take care of it, but he didn't. He let the crew roof right over the dip. When I pointed it out to him, he went in the attic came out got on the phone with the salesman. They both blamed the builder. The guy that signs off on the final job even pointed out the dip to the forman, but he signed off on the paperwork. The forman said the BG would send their engineer out inspect and recommend a solution. He said they could only fix it by either pulling that area of roof off and sistering the truss or repair it from the inside It was decided the repair would happen from the outside. The two fix-it guys (one being the forman from the first time) that showed up to fix it from the outside said it was best to fix it from the inside. BTW, BD did not vent the garage at the time of the roof removal and replacement, I had to ask BD to come back and finish that. Are over 47 nails to many to find after a total tear-off? After the BD GM listened to my experience he applogized and matched the price the insurance company would pay, that's why the "C". Few months ago I noticed the roofing crew put a nail right through the new drip edge they installed. Would recommend again but caution to get everything is in writing, because the rest of the roof looked nice, well except the nail through the drip edge and the amount of extra nails.

Louis came out to look at a potential leak after a heavy rain. He went up in the attic and on the roof and determined the leak was actually from the wind blowing the rain, not the actual roof. He said if it leaked again to call them and they could do a water test. He was right, it hasn't leaked since and they didn't charge us for coming out. Great service!

Representative came out the day after I called about a roof leak at our corporate office. He inspected the roof and found the downspout was plugged with pine straw & leaves causing the water to backup over the flashing. He pulled out the debris while he was on the roof. He gave me the details and said the roof was fine, no charge! Great service

Workers arrived on time and worked until job was completed. Returned within a day to replace and repair parts that we felt were not completed to our satisifaction.

The extimator was on time, e-mailed photos of what was wrong on the roof, and estimate of the repair. The installer was polite and knowledgeable, and even though the project required a slightly different material that he had to order, he came back and completed the job in just a couple days. We did not get multiple estimates since we had used them before for replacing a chimney cap and putting in a stainless steel liner in the fireplace for our wood stove. They did a great job, so we had them out again. When the whole roof needs to be replaced in another 10 years, we will likely use them.

Very professional from the start. Gave me a proposal the moment he looked at my roof. The other contractor I considered had to email me the proposal later. The guys that came out to actually fix my roof were also very professional.

They were professional with the quote and they were reasonable.

Estimator came out first. Photo'd the hole and did a small repair in case it snowed or rained before the permanent repair. Exactly three weeks later as promised the repair was completed.

Went well. We were having problems with birds getting into our attic. We had a new roof put on but the roofer evidently failed to put the gutter apron on the entire house.

I had stains on the ceiling near the cheminee so I called a first roofing company in the spring, they said there was a leak that I should fix at the bottom of the cheminee on the roof. They said it was due to snow melting and I could wait to just before the winter to fix it. They were expensive ($1400) so in the fall I called Bone Dry Roofing that someone had recommended me. Tyler Hergott checked the cheminee and the roof, then he came inside the home and expected the stains. He spent a long time talking with me and advised me on what to do: 1/ fix the base of the cheminee on the roof 2/ but also inspect the whole masonery of the cheminee and the cap 3/ replace the drywall and paint the ceiling. We talked and talked. I concluded that I would schedule an inspection with their masonery division (the quote was a few thousand dollars so I decided to wait on that). Tyler gave me a quote that talked about fixing the base of the cheminee. I did ask him if the quote included painting the stains inside (I didn't want to replace the drywall) and he said yes. Later someone came to fix the cheminee/roof but not to paint the inside. I called Tyler back and all he could do was send someone else to give me another quote to fix the inside. So if you talk with Tyler Hergott (he likes to talk), double check what is included in the quote and what is not.

GREAT job on the roof and gutter, professional, quick job excellent at this work I gave professionalism a B score for two reasons. One the skylight was installed a little bit off center, we have a very nice house and it is a nuisance I know but it is not right. The other complaint was that during the estimate it was discussed that the job would be head to tail and fix not only roof and gutter but also lights, trim and Stucco/EFIS. When the job came around it was like the main interest was in the roof and gutters and the rest was not really worth doing. Trim did get done but the EFIS never was evaluated or fixed and I replaced the lights myself. I would absolutely use them again for roof and gutter only and subcontract the other work myself. One final praise was that the salesman Chad, did a great job to work with my insurance to make sure that extra money was paid for some items that were under estimated during the appraisal.

I originally contacted Bone Dry to come and do a free inspection of my roof for hail damage from a storm back in the spring. John Moore checked out the roof and found it to be in good condition. I mentioned to him that I was having it checked because I had hail damage to my siding from that same storm. He took a look and asked if I would like an estimate for replacement of the 3 or 4 pieces of siding. I explained that I had siding pieces stored in the garage that were left for me by the original siding installation company. I was happy with the estimate and we scheduled the work. 3-4 workers arrived on the scheduled day and quickly replaced the siding pieces. I was very happy with their responsiveness and work product.

Bone Dry was very professional. It took awhile to get the roof done because of rain and having to reschedule a couple of times but they installed the roof in just one day and did a fantastic job. I would definitely use them again and recommend them. They also were helpful in dealing with the insurance company.

Everything went as planned. Had unexpected expense with replacing most of roof decking but they showed us why it had to be replaced.

They were able to find out that there was a nail that was causing the leak. Since the repair we had no further issues. They took their time to find this leak. I would highly recommend their services to others and I would use them again.

They came right on time. They were completely honest with us and let us know they didn't want to take our money because the problem was not what we thought it was. They saved us a great deal of money with their honesty and correctly identified the issue. We will be hiring them to fix this problem as well.

I had a little leak in a second floor bedroom ceiling. Bone Dry Roofing is rated well on this website. I contacted them and the came out in a reasonable amount of time and provided a repair proposal. This included repairing/replacing poorly done roofing vents, etc. They said that this may be the cause of the leak. I also had them look at a bathroom exhaust vent because a bird had been in there this summer. They provided an estimate to make the appropriate improvements for $485. They did state that it would be a couple of weeks before my repairs would be completed due to prior job commitments. I had not been contacted for a couple of weeks. I contacted the company. They stated that a repairman would contact me soon to schedule the repairs. I contacted them a couple more times over the next couple of weeks and was finally called by a repairman. They came out and did the work (I assume - it is 2-3 stories up on the roof). The workers seemed competent and were nice. I was just disappointed about the poor contact. I was always able to get a hold of someone at the office. But, it took multiple calls for me to be contacted by the repairman to actually schedule the work. If I were told that it would be a couple of more weeks, I probably wouldn't be as disappointed. I cannot speak to the price of the work because this is the only quote I obtained. I cannot speak to the quality of the work because it is on the roof and I am not climbing up there unless my leak recurs.

We only used them for an estimate for coating a flat roof. They were very professional.

Many neighbors were getting roofs replaced because of hail damage so I thought I should get mine checked too. The person who came out was polite enough & punctual. He said I had 5 or 6 years on my roof before it needed to be replaced. I thought it was a little pricy for the amount of time he was on the roof checking - though I've got a cape cod with a steep pitch which might've affected the price. I just didn't get the feeling he was very thorough. Aside from that though it was a good experience.
