Auto Mufflers
.I contacted the company with an automobile problem which was quickly
diagnosed and repaired for $479, which was for a new radiator.

days later, I experienced a worse situation and took it back to them.
The problem was diagnosed as a blown hose. They explained that the hose
was OK before the radiator was installed, but once it was installed the
hose blew under the extreme pressure.
I was told it would
probably only take 30 minutes to replace once the part came in. I was
charged for 1+hour. The cost? $125 for a $20 hose.
When I
questioned the manager about the extra charge, he explained it away,
citing time taking longer when you have to dig deeper. When I asked why
the hoses hadn't been checked before the radiator was replaced, he
replied snidely, "...and how do you suppose we'd do that?"
The
good part is that he did discount the $14 in coupons I presented him. I
felt he was not using good customer service, and he should have at least
explained why the hoses weren't checked during the radiator's
installation.
