The guys were good. One guy wasn't there when they finished the job. Two guys started it and one guy finished it but they were good. The quality of work from the painting is excellent. They were 2 young fellows probably in their 30's but they worked, they were professional, and they were just nice. I told my wife if we had any more rooms in the house painted, we'll definitely call him back. They weren't the cheapest. I think they were in the middle of the pack but the one painter that was cheaper, I disliked him so we didn't take him. It was worth it for the quality of work that we got. They called when they said they would call, they showed up when they said they would show up, and they did what they said they would do.

Highly and without hesitation will recommend the entire staff. Polite, clean, precise, and most of all professional with every step. No mess, no problems, and no re-do's he nailed this from Hello. As an an extra benefit, Todd saved us time labor with an additional side project as well. 2 very large dressers, and 1 end-table, were also sanded, primed, and painted. You get what you pay for and the quality returned was exceptional! He made furniture that looked like the late 60's, transitional and new. Priceless since you're asking me. From the moment we called Todd we knew this was going to be a good experience. He was prompt and professional through every step. We're inexperienced when it comes to choosing paints and we have an apartment that combines stained concrete floors, light wood cabinets, dark countertops, brick inside, as well as a metal industrial wall and various tile colors in the bathroom. We had no idea how to make it look modern like we wanted. Todd came out first to do the estimate; he arrived on time for every appointment throughout the whole process. Our first meeting we discussed general ideas and Todd helped get us thinking. Our second meeting we started digging into colors more concretely as this was our color consultation. Todd advised us brilliantly as to how to tie all the different color elements in the apartment together. We also came up with some really cool accenting ideas; beyond just accent walls we did accent shelving built into a wall and even an accent sliding door. Todd advised us to buy samples and paint posterboards to see these colors spread out on a larger surface and then in different lights throughout the apartment. This was extremely helpful in making those final decisions between shades of a certain color. We met with Todd again to finalize our color selections and make a timeline for the project. He fit us in quickly, which was essential to us as we wanted to finish the painting ASAP in order to being moving in. We had discussed some old furniture we were inheriting that we needed to fix up and Todd volunteered to have his guys help sand, paint, and prime this as well! We communicated with Todd mostly via e-mail for scheduling appointments and for updates on the project. He sent us regular updates regarding the status of the project, his evaluation of the work so far, projected end times, etc. When we first saw the apartment painted we were so thrilled. I don't think I could have ever picked the intense colors I wanted and make them work so effectively throughout the entire place. Then when the furniture was done a day later we were thrilled all over again. All the new furniture we purchased is flat white and this old, inherited furniture was indistinguishable once Todd and his guys were done with it!! The price was exactly as we had agreed to. Aside from the colors, promptness, and professionalism the quality of the work is perfect. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed working with this company. I'd highly recommend hiring the painting edge without hesitation and we have scheduled to have Todd come take pictures of the completed apartment once we finish furnishing it so that everyone may see how wonderful he merged so many colors.

Todd Cartmel came and inspected the scope of work involved. He provided me with a written estimate within a few days. He was very professional and punctual. The work was scheduled to begin with 3 weeks. All the workers who came to the house were friendly and strive to keep the mess down as much as possible. The walls were first primed with an oil primer as the drywall was damaged by wallpaper which I removed from the walls. Then the drywall specialist mudded all the walls, sanded and re-mudded as necessary. The painters then primed the walls with a latex primer then painted the walls, baseboards and chair rail. Everyone was easy to work with and seemed trustworthy. I gave them a house key to use for the week. The work took a couple days longer to complete then first thought, but the final bill was the same as the estimate. The drywall repair is perfect. The holes in the textured ceiling are not visible at all. It looks like a new ceiling. Overall, an excellent job and company to work with. I will use them again.

Todd and I had a date set and I asked for more painting to be done. Todd asked if I could change the date which was easily done. The crew arrive on time and ready to work. The crew was delightful, the dog liked them (!), polite, trust worthy as I had to leave several times and meticulous with their work. The painting looks wonderful. Todd will offer advice on paint colors if asked. I wouldn't think of hiring any one else to do painting in the house.

Mr. Cartmel and his crew were very professional. They arrived on time, and worked very quickly. The paint color above the chair rail in the dining room is the same as in the living room and kitchen, so I was very pleased that they were able to match the existing 9-year-old paint perfectly. My only complaint is that Mr. Cartmel didn't return my initial phone call asking for an estimate or my e-mail accepting his bid quite as quickly as I expected, but once he called, he moved quickly. I had an estimate within a week of contacting him; that weekend I sent him an e-mail accepting his bid. I expected to hear from him on Monday. He called first thing Tuesday morning and offered to do the painting on Wednesday. That didn't work for us, so he scheduled us for Thursday. He and his crew arrived promptly at 8 a.m. and they were finished by 3:30. Unlike most companies, he did not expect immediate payment. He sent a bill asking for payment within 30 days. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. I will use the company again.

By not picking up the phone and following through, this provider missed out on a job.

* Todd & his crew did an excellent job. They moved & covered all the furniture prior to painting, as well as vacuumed and returned everything as before when the room was completed. * Extremely patient. I changed the colors several times prior to painting, & it was always met with "Not a problem." * When I was unsure about the color shade I wanted on the tray ceiling in our dining room, they painted several areas with the different colors so I could make my selection after seeing the rest of the room painted & in various lighting. * Painters were very conscientious, friendly, courteous & clean. Always punctual. * One of the painters pointed out a "drip" on the wall of our entryway that WE did not notice, stating that it would be fixed the following day. And it was. * Job was more extensive & took more time than originally estimated, which we as homeowners did not have a problem with. The entire project took approximately 3 wks. * Main floor completed first & was perfect. Upper level & laundry room had a few areas of concern, but all were addressed and corrected. * I was extremely satisfied & would recommend The Painting Edge without hesitation.

I can not say enough about this company. The owner and his crew were such a pleasure to work with. I was very impressed with the crews attention to detail,as well as being extremely professional and punctual. You will not be disappointed if you choose this company. Their work speaks for itself. ** We will be using them again this Spring for additional painting.

I can't say enough positive things about The Painting Edge. I had just closed on my brand new home and my wife and I knew we wanted to paint as soon as possible. Knowing that the amount of work would be too overwhelming for us, we decided to hire professionals. I had four companies come out to give me an estimate on the work that needed to be done. The prices ranged from around $3500 to $6500. As soon as my wife met Todd Cartmel, the owner of The Painting Edge, she knew that's who she wanted to hire. I got home from work and she explained how the estimate went, saying he was extremely professional, he was on time, and he was easily the most thorough with the estimate work up. He took notes and measurements during the entire walk-through and the estimate I received was the most detailed by far. The reps from the other three companies were very nice and all seemed competent, but my wife and I both had no doubts that we wanted The Painting Edge to do the work. I must say that we weren't disappointed. I had a couple family issues come up and we had to push back the start date, but Todd was very accommodating. On the first day, Todd came to our house with Shane and Josh (the two guys that performed all the work). We went over the plan for the project and then the work began. The total time for completion was 8 days and every one of those was a full day. We had 9 rooms plus 2.5 bathrooms painted, plus a few other items. It was definitely no small task, but Shane and Josh handled it amazingly. I'm very particular about the quality of work being done on my house especially since it was three weeks old at the time. Within the first 30 minutes I realized I had nothing to worry about though. Shane and Josh were the most courteous and respectful people I've ever had perform work for me...of any kind...ever. They were the BEST! The were extremely careful moving furniture and appliances when necessary. They made sure everything was covered with plastic or drop cloths. They removed their shoes each and every time they came into the house. I couldn't have asked for more from them. As for the paint work, it was incredible as well. We had chosen 10 different colors, including a red and a yellow, and every one of the rooms turned out exceptionally. It surpassed even my lofty expectations. Every wall has even coverage, the cut-ins are straight, there's no paint splatter on the floors or trim, there are no runs of any kind, and due to the sanding they did as prep work the walls actually look much smoother and properly finished than before. In our kitchen, we had a side splash at the far end of a countertop that we wanted to remove because it just looked tacky. My builder wasn't really sure what he could do to fix it and my wife and I had almost given up on it entirely. We had Shane look at it and he thought he could probably remove it and patch up any drywall damage before painting over it. So, we gave him the green light and now you would never even know the side splash had been there. It looks absolutely perfect and my wife couldn't be happier. She really hated the way it looked before. So basically, that's how the whole 8 day project went. Any difficulties or surprises that came up were handled gracefully. Shane and Josh cleaned up and rearranged furniture every day before leaving or after completing a room. They did a wonderful job minimizing the impact of the painting project on me and my wife, which we both really appreciated. The level of professionalism and expertise that Shane and Josh displayed also showed me that Todd really concerns himself with hiring quality employees and making sure they share his ideals if they are going to represent his company. Todd made a wonderful impression on us from the start and Shane and Josh just carried that through to the end. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. The house looks amazing!! We have had several people comment on how fantastic it looks, including family, friends and neighbors alike. If I ever need paint work done in the future, I will definitely hire The Painting Edge. My wife and I wouldn't even consider anyone else. They have earned our loyalty for life!! Thanks so much for everything Todd, Shane and Josh.

hey were exceptionally I knew the amount of painting and labor was going to be a lot for the work I required. I obtained various quotes and awarded the job to The Painting Edge. The owner (Todd) was excellent in providing "in-depth" detail about the job and the time required. He also was excellent on his follow-up throughout the process. I can't say enough about his crew. The job was over 8 days to complete and every single day they were on time and on schedule. They were extremely polite and informed me of their progress every day. They were exceptional in their cleanliness during the job and always left the house in order after a days work. I have to say that in all of my years (66) I have never done business with a better contractor in all categories.

Todd and his crew did an outstanding job. The overall experience was very positive. Although they were not the cheapest estimate I received - you get what you pay for and the work was worth every penny. They were very meticulous when it came to details and took the time to get the job done right.

Todd was very thorough in the estimate process as well as doing a final walk thru right before the work was to begin. I received daily updates as to progress. All the areas were cleaned up each night and everything was handled wonderfully. I would definitely use this company again! They did an awesome job!

It went excellent. Todd and his crews have been incredibly consciencous on the job. He's been my ace in the hole for his attention to detail. I got him an opportunity to bid on our neighborhood rod iron fence and he got that job and did a wonderful job on that as well.

They are really good. I have used them before and I like that the same painter does the work each time.

The painter assigned to paint the room was Todd (not the owner). He called ahead of time to let me know he was coming and arrived on time. I showed him the room. He explained everything he would do and the order he would do them in. I felt confident that he knew what he was doing, and that he would do well.
