Groomingdales By Sarah

My Yorkie actually gets excited when he realizes we are going to Groomingdales by Sarah!  They treat him in a very gentle, patient and calm manner.  He always walks out looking great.  I have tried other groomers in the area and my dog made it clear when he did not want to go back.  I love Sarah and her crew!

 On the first visit, I was informed that there were excessive tangles on his hair and that I would be charged extra for this. I agreed to do an all-over short cut then if that would be easier for my pet. This was in August 2015. When I picked him up, all the dogs were running around freely in the shop. All though there was a gate before the front door, a little dog 'escaped' when the front door and then the gate was opened. The dog ran into the parking lot; after several scary moments, Sarah retrieved the dog. I did not think at that time this was a safe practice to let the dogs run free in the shop. But would try this shop since it was recommended by a friend.
The next visits for grooming included repeated statements that there were tangles even when I combed him every day prior to his grooming appointment. I kept his cut short for this purpose and never felt those' tangles' that then was added as a charge extra.
I felt that I was not listened to when I stated it was not safe to let all dogs run freely in shop or when I didn't feel there were tangles when I dropped him off. After this last time in February, I had enough when again an extra charge was added. Sarah was there and just kept saying she was 'sorry' but never said an answer when questioned on her added 'tangle' charges. Only telling me I need to use a comb and not a brush (which I did use a comb) I will not recommend this shop to another person. The shop is not a safe haven for my pet anyway.

The quality and price for the grooming was good

Took my 5 month old Bichon/Poodle puppy in. He had an absolute blast playing with the other dogs there. He came home looking adorable and fell asleep instantly bc he had so much fun.

Excellent service and very friendly team of groomers. Our puppy had a great time during his visit and looks so darn cute with his new cut!! I am amazed that he still is so soft and smells good even a week later:)

I would highly recommend their services and we will be visiting for all our grooming needs.

Services were performed as requested.  They were timely: I dropped them off around 8:30am and they were ready by 2:30.  There were approximately 5 other dogs there when I arrived.

I have a dog, Wrigley, who has a pathological fear of having his nails trimmed due to a bad experience at a chain pet store grooming salon.  I have tried doing it on my own, but despite his only weighing 8 pounds, it is just too much for one person to handle!  By doing some searching on Angie's list, I found Groomingdales by Sarah and decided to give it a try.  I was a little nervous about leaving my precious puppy with strangers, but they were wonderful!  Not only did I pick up a very happy little guy, but they took pictures on their ipad throughout the process to show me how well he did during the experience.  They were gentle, kind and full of snuggles for him.   I will most definitely be using them again in the future!

I've been here twice and it is alwasy quick and easy!  I've called twice and they either promptly answer the phone or return my phone call pretty quickly.  I've brought my dog in twice for nail trimming and it is the easiest process.  We arrive and all nails are trimmed in no more than 5 minutes.  They do a great job and it only costs $10.  Most places around Naperville cost between $15-25 for a nail trimming.  It is great that they prioritize such a quick service as it makes the most sense for dog grooming.  I would highly recommend Groomingdales by Sarah for dog nail trimming.  I haven't yet brought Chloe in for a full dog grooming, but if my dog ever needs it, I will try them out!

Sarah answered the phone promptly and was able to accommodate an appointment on the next Saturday.  When I had to reschedule, she was very understanding and was able to get Snickers in shortly there after.  Sarah listened carefully to my tale of mats and snarls and she proposed a cut that would help me maintain Snickers good looks.  Sarah was very friendly with all of the dogs in her shop and really seemed to enjoy her work.  Roughly 4 hours later I got a call that Snickers was ready for pick-up. They had done a great job removing the mats and gave her a cute "summer" cut.  The shop was alive with cleaned and groomed dogs, all of them seemed to be so happy to be there.
Snickers will definitely be going back to visit Sarah again.

They are very good with the dogs.  They are very good a styling the cut too.  We have no worries leaving our pet there.  The price is rather high compared to what we used to pay in another city.

She went above and beyond. She was able to schedual me pretty quickly. I really liked that everything was in site. You could see everything that was going on from the grooming to drying. That was really important to me. The service is great but it is a bit pricy.

I've been coming to Groomingdales for over 10 years now and absolutely love Sarah and her team. My two "girls", one of which is usually shy around other people, absolutely love the staff and run into the shop like it's their favorite place in the world. They do a fantastic job and the pups have fun, so it's a win for all of us!

They did a great job. You can tell they love the animals they groom, they took good care of my dog and she looked beautiful!!  It was pricey only because Bella was very matted and needed a lot of attention.  I went back for a bath, nail trim & ear cleaning and it was like $45.  They keep her all day while I was at work and Bella loved playing with the other dogs.  A great place!

Excellent! Used Sarah for the past 6yrs and wont ever go anywhere else! She has de-skunked both dogs before and they came out 99% less stinky than before. She is very accommodating and is unbelievably loving to my dogs. Beautiful haircuts, very consistent, they smell wonderful for days after, and they come home happy. Went to Petsmart once in hopes to save some $, but would never stray away from Sarah again! No groomer does the beautiful job and treats their clients and dogs so well as Sarah does. Totally worth the few extra dollars.

I have two miniature Schnauzers and my groomer for all my pets for 25 years had retired so needless to say I was stressing out over where to take my pooches. It had been a while since they were groomed because I was so skeptical and did not know where to go. Needless to say they were a matted mess!!! I researched groomers on the web and read the reviews for Groomingdales and now I see why they had such good reviews. The staff at Groomingdales is wonderful and welcomed my babies and it was as if they had known them for years! The grooming was excellent and they smelled sooo good! I highly recommend them as they treat your pets just like their own!
