I obtained 3 quotes and they were significantly lower than the other two. The crew was very professional and efficient. The leader of the crew was very sharp and remembered all directions I gave him (even reminded me where I had said I wanted a piece of furniture to go!) They moved my mother a year ago and did a great job with her move too.

We chose USA Movers to help us for a difficult move -- just two weeks after having a baby. They submitted their estimate over the phone, which caused us a little worry because other movers came out to see the space, but their estimate was extremely accurate. (We received one bid for $1,000 more and another roughly the same.) They arrived on a rainy Sunday morning and did a terrific job fully packing everything in the entire condo (we literally hadn't done anything) and packing the truck in about 5 or 6 hours despite a miserable pouring rain. They were very accommodating at leaving beds and essentials for one last night at home, returning in the morning to finish. They then stopped at an off-site storage locker for us and brought it all to our new home. Throughout they were professional and kind, even making sure to set up the crib for the baby before anything else at the new house. The packing was all very well done, with nothing broken or even noticeably scratched. The only criticism would be the amount of paper used -- yikes -- and the labeling of the boxes, which was much too general. But these are relatively minor criticisms and overall we were very happy with our experience. We wouldn't recommend moving with a very, very newborn to anyone, but if you have to, USA helped make it as smooth as possible.

It went very well, their prices were good and their service was excellent. They brought all of the proper crews and adjusted where they needed to adjust. They were courteous and looked out for my interest and they were just great people. They were very clean and very reasonable.

In mid-September, USA Moving were able to schedule me for a move soon (less than a week) after I called, and were also able to reschedule to later in the afternoon when the morning time didn't work out. The team of four, led by Jose, showed up precisely at the time they said they would, appropriately wrapped up my furniture in blankets and enough tape to secure it all, and had everything on the truck within 45 minutes. It took them slightly longer to move things up the stairs at the destination, which, plus the driving time, meant a 2.5 hour move. Nothing was damaged, neither my stuff nor either building, except for the most fragile of my plants - they don't guarantee your plants will make it out alive, but only one of mine saw any damage. I had packed all the boxes ahead of time. They were unwilling to make an estimate over the phone, claiming that it depends on too many factors, but they detailed their charges: $134/hour (actually, $33.50/fifteen minutes), minimum two hours, plus another hour for the truck, and then nickel-and-dime for packaging materials. Payment was cash or money order only. In my case, the nickels and dimes added up to $10 for a total of $479, plus a customary tip. The only negative was that they weren't very proficient in English, but then, it wasn't very necessary.

It was fine. They did a great job. They were on time and worked hard.

We selected this company based on others' ratings on Angie's List. We called and got a quote of $650. This included 12 medium sized boxes we could pick up anytime. They gave a two hour window when the movers would arrive and they showed up right in the middle of that window. We had four men and a good sized truck. They worked extremely quickly and carefully. All of our furniture was wrapped in blankets and taped up snug. It was an unbelievably hot day and the movers never took a break. They were able to take the door off our new place to get the couch to fit in. While one guy worked on the door, the others were hustling to unwrap all of the furniture (rather than just standing around waiting). The total cost was right in line with the estimate. None of our belongings were damaged. The movers were all very quiet, professional, and extremely hard working. I will use this company again without hesitation.

We could not believe how good these movers were. Usually when we move we end up doing almost as much work as the movers, and watching them like a hawk to make sure they're protecting delicate items, etc. Not so with USA moving. After 5 minutes it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing, and we were just in the way. We actually sat on our porch and relaxed (while feeling rather guilty :-))! USA's team arrived on schedule at 8:45 AM and before we knew it our stuff was shooting out the door. They had a team of 4 instead of the usual 3 and moved amazingly fast. Javier was fantastic - he spoke English well and had great ideas about how to pack and store things and even how to arrange our furniture in the new place. They dissembled and reassembled our furniture with care. I was initially a little worried about having them move the piano, a valuable 7ft. Steinway, but after seeing how careful they were to protect everything I relaxed and let them handle it. Because of the piano, they had to bring another truck and another mover, and they told me in advance exactly how much it would cost so there would be no surprises. The team worked tirelessly from 8:45 until 7 PM, except for a half hour lunch they didn't charge us for. Incredibly, they showed no signs of slowing down. This move was expensive, but I can't blame that on USA's rates, which seem very reasonable - about $24 per guy (we did tip about $40 each, which added a chunk of change). We just had a lot of stuff! Plus an 800 pound piano that needed to be very carefully packed and reassembled. I did think they used an awful lot of tape, for which they charge $2/roll, but they said it was necessary and what do I know. If you can, try to pick up their free boxes in advance - we ended up paying a hefty sum for extra packing materials (but again, they told us exactly what each box and roll would cost ahead of time).

I called to get some information and spoke with the owner of the company. He was very helpful and gave good suggestions. I made a reservation and confirmed it a few days prior to the move date. On the day of the move, Santiago showed up with four other men exactly on time. We went through the house, reviewed the contract and he told me when the clock was starting. The crew where efficient, fast and honest. They loaded up two trucks and went to the new location. They unloaded everything and put things exactly where we wanted them. The men where great and I would use them again in a second.

In a word...EXCELLENT! They were very professional from the initial phone call in which they provided me with an estimate until my final piece of furniture had been placed. They showed up on time and ready to work. All of my furniture was wrapped and handled with care. They unhooked the water supply from the fridge and went down underneath the sink to shut off the valve (I didn't even know that there was a shut-off valve for the fridge down there). They pointed out a loose leg on one of my barstools and found the required tools to tighten up the leg before wrapping it and putting it on the truck. I had new hardwood flooring installed in my entire condo unit and was extremely impressed with the care that they took when moving my furniture back in on the new floors. They put down blankets over the entire floor and placed furniture pads on all of my furniture pieces before placing them. I was very concerned with how the move back in was going to be, but they handled it beautifully... I couldn't have been more pleased.

Overall I had a great moving experience with USA Moving & Storage. They called me back promptly for a quote, showed up on time, and in about 5 hours moved all my possessions from place to place. Nothing was broken and the crew was very pleasant to work with and respectful of my belongings. I was still furiously packing up some remaining items as they were moving me, and they assisted by supplying additional boxes and simply taping up a few items (such as a filing cabinet and storage bin) so I didn't have to move the contents to a box. I would definitely use them again (hopefully not too soon though, as moving itself is a huge undertaking!).

USA Moving and Storage was great! We needed to move about half of our belongings out of our condo in order to put it on the market. When I called they were able to accommodate our request and come the following week. They gave me an estimate that was almost exactly what the final price came to. Javier and his team of three other movers were efficient, polite, and friendly. They wrapped some unwieldy pieces of furniture very carefully--I never had any worries about the furniture or our walls getting damaged during the move. Javier explained all the paperwork and signatures to me when they were done. Great service and I would definitely use them again!

The movers arrived on time and they finished the job in one hour. My wife and I could not believe how carefully they moved the furniture back onto the new floor. Not a scratch on anything. Great job.

Two months after moving us to the rental house while our home was renovated, USA moved us back to our "real" house. USA were good to suggest Santiago and his crew, since we liked them the first time around, and they were available again. Once again, Santiago and his crew did an excellent job. Fast, efficient, cleaned up the moving areas (i.e. parts of the garage and driveway for loading/unloading) and finished in record time. Hopefully, we won't have to move for a while now, but if we do, we're calling USA first.

I had a bad move, but USA Moving and Storage was the best part. I had to get out of an apartment before I could move into my new place. At the time I didn't know how long the transition would be (ended up being two weeks) so the fact that they had storage options was great. I also had to change my move date about six times, and each time they followed up to confirm and were very patient when I kept changing. Upon confirmation they provided a two- or three-hour window for showing up and arrival was in the first half hour. The four-man crew was amazingly fast. The furniture wrapping was brilliant...not a single scratch (that wasn't already there from a previous move). Their hourly rate is reasonable...the only reason my move was so expensive is that it was actually two moves (one into storage, one to the new place) plus storage. I was going to rent the more expensive storage area, but they convinced me the cheaper one was big enough. You read that right. They also didn't make me commit for more than a month even though I didn't know how long it would be. During the move the guys were friendly but efficient. My only complaint is that on a crew of four guys, only one spoke more than very basic English. If I didn't know a little Spanish the move might have taken longer. One more note...they were very creative...my couch left my 3rd floor apartment through the window with no damage to it or the building. Too bad it didn't fit through the kitchen at the new place. They advertise that they can disassemble furniture (which was a selling point to me because of the couch) but they said my couch wasn't something they could tackle... something about the fabric covering stapled on the bottom. Overall though, excellent and relatively stress-free for a move!

Booked one week ahead, arrived exactly on time. Packed and loaded in 10 minutes, 3 guys. Unloaded quickly. Removed old refrigerator and moved to alley, Removed doors as I requested. The whole move went in less than one hour, they do have a two hour minimum charge. I have used this company before. Different crew than last time, but all very professional and equally efficient.

It was great, beginning with the phone receptionist. Every time I called I got the same woman, who was friendly and on top of her game. I felt confident from the beginning that things would go well. A 4-man crew came to pack up our belongings the day before the move. They did a very careful job with all items, including a white sofa, which they shrink-wrapped before covering with blankets so it wouldn't get dirty. They were extremely professional. They also left out appropriate items for us so we could live in our home overnight, without being told. No one was with them most of the day, as my husband and I were away working. After they left, I noticed they didn't pack the spice cabinet in the kitchen. However, the first thing the head mover said when he returned on moving day was "we need to pack one more cabinet in the kitchen and we can get started". The head guy even called his boss after packing and said he needed 6 guys instead of just 5 the next day to get the job done in reasonable amount of time. Indeed, 6 guys were busy for a full 8 hours during the move. All the movers were extremely careful and only left one scuff mark on the stairwell wall. Yet they were very efficient. I would use them again in a heartbeat. I gave them B on price only because the packing materials were quite expensive. If you're looking to save a little money, I suggest getting your own boxes, which they allow. Their hourly rate was lower than others I priced out.

The whole experience, beginning with the first phone call, through the entire process was outstanding. I was concerned about the move because the second floor contents of the coach house needed to be lifted up and over an exterior balcony (it only has a narrow spiral staircase inside). The sales person assured me this would not be a problem, and she was right. They were very resourceful, and they even somehow lifted up a very heavy washer and dryer. Overall the movers were extremely polite and professional, and fast! As a comparison, I had moved all of the contents just 2 months before and had used Golan. That previous move took 2 1/2 hours longer because they were much slower and either didn't understand English, or they had a blatent disregard for simple instructions. USA Moving was much, much better experience!

They were on time and also stuck to the price that was quoted. They were also very careful and had to go up three flights of stairs. Also called me about 2 times to remind me of the time and the date of the move.

We made a last minute switch to USA Moving and Storage. We had a deposit in with E-Z Movers, but their final contract included pricing that was higher than their original quote. We called USA Moving and Storage and described our items. They quoted the job over the phone. Their price was not the cheapest, but was in line with other moving companies. It was a miserable, rainy day but they crew showed up on time, did a quick walk through our condo, and immediately started to load the trucks. They were very efficient moving the boxes. The furniture took longer due to disassembly, protective covering, and taping. Our move was a little more difficult than the average because we had four flights of stairs and no elevator. We had six flights of stairs at our Naperville apartment, also with no elevator. The crew worked tirelessly with no breaks. The start to finish time took about 9 hours. They quoted 6-10 hours, which I felt was too large of a spread, but the 9 hour timeframe was in line with what other companies, who physically evaluated our items prior to quoting, had estimated. Overall, the crew was very professional and hard working. I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so.

They were scheduled to arrive between 7:30am and 8:30am, and the actual time was about 8:35am. I thought they were a bit excessive with their use of tape and blankets to protect furniture and boxes, but nothing was broken in the move. After unloading, they unwrapped everything and disposed of the tape themselves. The furniture that had to be taken apart was put back together in the new house. Overall, their work was very good.

No damage to any property. Did a wonderful job!

We went on-line and filled out a questionare to get an estimate. After a few days of no response we E-mailed them and still no response. After a few more days we called and were told they would call back the next day. We never heard from them.

Four movers (not 3, which is standard) were prompt and professional. Worked very hard from the get go. Were careful not to leave items behind. Wrapped all furniture well and helped me pack fragile items such as stereo equipment and framed art. They were careful about not scratching walls or furniture. Moved entire 1 bed into a 2 bed walk-up (3rd floor) in 4 hours or so. Were very responsive to specific requests and extremely friendly. Will hire them again for all moves and will recommend them to my friends and family. Well priced. THANKS!!!!!

They did a great job. They were very respectful with all of our stuff while they moved it. They were very timely in getting the truck loaded and to the other house.
