Dr. Lyons and the staff were outstanding. As you can imagine if was difficult for me to lose a friend and companion of 15 years, but they were amazing. Their middle name was kindness and compassion. Their nickname professional. I can only imagine how superb their care is for health of one’s pet. I don’t write reviews but I feel compelled to let others know how pleased I was with the way they treated me and my pet.

Great, Frank explains what to do and how to do it. It was up to me to practice the dog every day. He is calm and gentle with the animals and the owners. But he doe expect you to do the work. He just helped me train my dog for Therapy Dog and I'm delighted. This is my 3rd dog trained by Frank and I wouldn't have any one else.

This is the best place for your dog, period! I have checked at least 10-12 places (from down town to the suburbs) since I started looking for Benya's Day Care before I found them. Every time I knocked on the door and asked if I can see the facility the answer was : "By appointment only". Why?! When I was inside, I always smelled Doggy's poop or strong Bleach smell when my eyes were almost out of my orbits because of that...The area inside and out were always "limited", small... When I came to Wiggly Tails first time I was surprised how nice it smelled, how clean it was. No bleach smell or bad smell at all. I asked the same question if I can see the facility and I was so surprised again that all of a sudden the staff member (not even the owner) opened the door and said "pease, come in and check". It was a very nice, so clean, huge place (inside and out), outside was incredibly impressive! I liked it very much...So, Benya was 4-5 months old, a little stubborn, but very nice and happy boy, Wiggly Tails journey began. We have been with Wiggly Tails since 2011: day care, grooming, boarding (serious boarding - 21-30 days sometimes). My mom was very sick and I had many trips outside the country for her Stem Cell therapy in Moscow. Benya was always in Wiggly Tails for Boarding. He loved to go to Wiggly Tails for Day Dog Care too, he was very happy and tired after. The owner and the staff were always very nice, professional, kind and attentive. Sometimes we had small problems, it's life. For example, Benya never been in a cage and when during a nap time he was placed in the cage, he had an anxiety and scratched his nose very badly. I addressed this issue with the staff and Judd, they accommodated him (he was spending his nap time outside the cage, sometimes, if not always, with the staff in their room, snoring loudly). The groomer was very good. Benya never liked the bath, but was always very happy and handsome (smell nicely) after Dana's "bath". I've never had any major problems in Wiggly Tails since Benya's first day. I was very confident leaving him for weeks with them, they always took a very good care of him. When my lovely Dog Benya recently passed away accidentally and I e-mailed to the staff, Judd called me and he was almost crying with me during his sincere condolences. Wiggly tails is a great place for day care and boarding. I am very grateful to Judd and his team for all these happy years with them. Svetlana, Benya's mom...

This was the first time we boarded our puppy, but they did a great job. We also had him trained while he was boarded for a week. They did a great job of training him. He is a much different dog now. He obeys and heels. Also, they did a great job of taking care of him while we were gone. We are thinking about sending him to day care so he can socialize more with other dogs. Would use this place again in a heart beat.

This was my first visit to Clips n Wiggles. My 13 month old, 54 lb. Goldendoodle went in to get a full grooming, and not only did CeCe do a beautiful job, but she listened to all my concerns and followed my instructions perfectly. Previously my little guy went to another groomer and ended up with bad infections. He was so well cared for at Clips n Wiggles and came out a “ happy camper”! I’ve already scheduled our 2nd appt. scheduled!

My puppy and I had a horrible visit. No appointment needed is a horrible system to have if you are unorganized and have staff that lacks customer service skills. This place has no accountability everyone just does their on thing. This was my 4th and last time. DO Not take small animals of any sort to these facility.

I left my 8 month old puppy there for a three week training program. I made it clear that my priority was potty training. The young woman I met with assured me that this was the right program for my pup. After three weeks of intensive in house training my puppy came home no more potty trained than when I left her there. There were several back and forth phone conversations . I followed all suggestions. I’m very disappointed. This was an expensive program that didn’t deliver.

My Best Friend is a full service grooming and boarding salon.
Recent Review:
Brought my dog in for a nail grinding however only one paw was trimmed. I was charged, & paid, full price in cash for the service not realizing the other nails were not trimmed. We discovered that my dog had a paw injury & severe nail infection two days later… My request for a refund for the $23 nail trim service from the owner, Susan, was very unpleasant & met w much resistance. She refused to acknowledge that her employees could ever make a mistake & went even further alleging that I was lied about the entire situation.…which is completely infuriating to say the least. Read on... I needed to have my dog’s nail trimmed after our appt at another groomer had been cancelled. After searching for groomers with good online reviews, I confirmed w/My Dog’s Best Friend they had time to grind my dog’s nails on a walk-in basis. (Though I offered to produce my dog’s rabies & vaccination records for the service, as we were new clients, they declined.(?)) After dropping off my dog for the nail grinding, I ran to the liquor store a few blocks down (per the tech’s suggestion) to retrieve cash from the atm to pay for the service. Then I returned to My Dog’s Best Friend when I sat down and really got a good look around while I waited. The grooming salon itself was rather filthy & dated with faded cartoon caricature posters & creepy, doll boxes (Hello Dolly?!) gathering dust on cluttered shelving and side tables that serve no purpose beyond cluttering the waiting area. In the back room, you see old, painted cages including one with a broken door - & the only thought going through my head was “I would never leave my dog here overnight.” All in all, it took a long time to “grind” my dog’s nails considering they did not even trim all of them! When it was finished, I paid $20 cash for the nail grinding & a $3 cash tip but was not offered a receipt nor did I think to ask for one. A few hrs later, my Maltese uncharacteristically nipped my when I tried to put on his harness & would not let me near his paw. Later we discovered my dog had a soft tissue injury that turned into a nail infection – as well as the lack of his nail trim! (Our Vet clipped the rest of his nails.) I phoned the owner, Susan, to request a refund for the nail grinding. It did not go well. At first, I was very upset & ready to make the hour drive there & back, w/my documents to support my claim. I reconsidered doing so as the point of requesting the refund had to do with my payment to the salon for a service that not was rendered – not the measly twenty-three $23 itself which I deduce Susan DID NOT at all comprehend from our phone call. Changing the communication method would not change her mind. Further, I did not care to waste any more money or time arguing with that type of a person. Therefore, I decided my efforts (& the small sum of $23) would be better spent immortalizing my unpleasant experience in an online review. Unfortunately, I didn't obtain a receipt for the service nor was I offered one. I do not know the tech’s name who serviced my dog nor did not pay for parking (per the techs advice to use my blinkers on Madison). What I did offer to Susan was the VET invoice showing the “Nail Trim,” the nearby liquor store ATM receipt & the groomer’s contact info whose appt fell through earlier that day to prove I was telling the truth. I forgot to bring up that I also have photos showing my dog’s uncut nails on his swollen paw prior to our ER Vet visit & my iPhone date/time stamp photo proving that I spoke w/her business shortly before I withdrawing cash from the nearby liquor store ATM. Regardless, Susan seemed to think that I concocted this whole elaborate, story to bleed her dry of $23 after I refused her offer to bring my dog back for the completion of the nail trim. I declined as our Vet had already trimmed his nails and I would not trust that salon with my dog again. Can you blame me? Her exact & ignorant response was: “Anyone could get an ATM receipt from a liquor store.” Obviously, I did not react well to a comment which implied that I was lying. I highly doubt any customer in my shoes would have appreciated that rude & inconsiderate comment. Did Susan ever consider if I was trying to “con” her, don’t you think I would be asking for more than $23?! After that point, Susan was unable to professionally communicate anything more of value because all that fell out of her mouth was a repetitive “I’ve heard you talk, now you listen to me.” I kept waiting for her to say something productive that I could respond to however it appears that Susan is a disbeliever that her employees are human and might actually make mistakes sometimes. Unfortunately, the conversation with this owner was as fruitless & non-productive as expecting the décor of the store to advance into this generation.

PRETTY PAWS BY CINDYI was a great experience and less money than Pet Smart. My dog is very skittish when it comes to going to get these things done. They did a great job and were very patient with her. The first time she would only let them grind her back nails, but on the next visit with the same groomer she was much more relaxed. They did a great job also on her hair cut. She is a long haired dog but they cut her hair shorter, she looked so cute, like a puppy. I am very happy with their services.- Linda N.

All-Star Pet GroomingPet emergency this morning at 9:30am. My girl, Maggie Mae, is a terrier mix and she got into an area with burrs. They were small and grouped tightly all around her mouth, chest and arms. Those areas are sparse with hair and it was hurting her. The Vet couldn't help me. All Star didn't even hesitate! They had me bring her in and took care of her asap and didn't even charge me. They're a Godsend and Angels for taking care of Maggie Mae and making her pain go away!! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!! 🙏🙏🙏- HEDIEH F.

PRECIOUS PAWS PARK RIDGEAll around worst service weve ever received. Ive been here before, i paid for the grooming and de-shedding of my shibas. He charged me $40 for the grooming and $40 for the de shedding. My shiba had a couple bledding nails and he said it was normal. I took her again only for the de shedding because i shower her and clip her nails myself, he had an attitude when i asked only for the de shedding. Okay fine, couldnt give us a time of when she might ready either even though we had an appointment. When she comes out he says it will be $70 only for one shiba. I dont understand the price hike, his response was he charges a dog fee and $20 for the de shedding. Made 0 sense to me but considering my little shiba is home and STILL heavily shedding i will never come back and make sure anyone i know doesnt either.- Paul E.

Grubby PuppyLet me first say, that this is not the first time I have had my Goldendoodle Winston groomed by Kim at Grubby Puppy. The first 2-times, she actually did a pretty good job with him, but always had an issue with Blow-Drying him and cutting and getting behind his ears. The wonderful groomer at Barking Lot Deerfield (RIP), Stacy seemed to have no issue with Drying/Cleaning/Brushing Winston. We will end up going back to her and her new mobile dog grooming company, but I digress... I usually take Winston to the groomer myself, but I happen to be away for business, and my wife took him today. She gave Kim her cell phone number, and Kim already had mine from past experiences. My wife dropped off Winston at 10:30AM, as out appointment called for. 1-hour, 2-hours goes by and my wife calls. Kim said, "He wasn't ready give me an hour.", my wife said, cool, I will be by in an hour. An hour goes by, Winston isn't ready yet... My wife informs Kim that my daughter gets off the bus at 3:45p, and will come by after that, since she closes at 4pm. Throughout the day, my wife was wondering about any communication from Kim, but no texts to either my phone or my wife's. My wife clearly filled out her number for Kim on the card, and her number hasn't changed for over 20-years, so there shouldn't be a complication. So... 4pm rolls by and my wife and daughter go pick up Winston.... He looks like he is shaved (I have attached pictures before & after)! My daughter is in tears and Kim said "It will grow back"... That's how you respond to a 10-year old girl, who is obviously upset? To quote the text message (Which I have attached screenshots) "Winston had not been brushed and combed to the skin at home daily giving the length of his his fur. Also, his fur was extreme curly" (HE IS A GOLDENDOODLE HE HAS CURLY AND STRAIGHT FUR) "Looks as if he was bathed and not dried at home which creates matting. It took us 4-hours to bath, semi-dry, brush and trim him" (WHERE IS THE FUR? YOU CUT IT ALL OFF SO WHAT DID YOU DO FOR 4-HOURS+????) "As I told (name removed) he was not shaved with a blade. I did the best that could given the condition of his fur and I did what was best for Winston" (That is absolutely wrong, if you put so much effort into him, why does he look like Thor after Stan Lee had his way with him in Thor: Ragnarok?) "I am sorry to hear your daughter is upset, but she should know his fur will grow back. If you don't want to pay us for all the hard work we did then I will have to ask you to find another groomer. I refuse to not be paid for my work" I paid her $40... She wanted to charge me $85... If she spent so much time working on him, why didn't she just buy a Flo-Bee and done it that way? If she can't handle a 10-Month old MEDIUM Goldendoodle, and other groomers can, she is a waste of time. Kim had her chances with me, and she has failed. Honestly, I can't believe how many good reviews she gets for such horrible work she does. My neighbors won't be going back to Kim, and I will find another groomer. One that seems to care about their profession and be nonchalant in regards to someone's fur-buddy. In regards to work, if you don't choose to master your craft, get out and let people who know do... Look at the pictures... Where is 4-hours plus Work? You didn't use a blade, Bu t I could do a better job with my electric razer for my beard! DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!!! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE, WE DEFINATELY ARE!- Michael P.
