Description of Work: I contacted him to come out & give me a quote for an addition. We made an appointment...not only did he NOT show up, but he NEVER called us nor did he return my phone call the day he was supposed to show up!

Description of Work: The requested service went well. They removed and replaced 3 bathroom ceiling fans. I was surprised that they did not repair the ceiling after making the cuts. I did ask but was told that wasn't part of the service. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice or at least offered for an extra amount. This is an old review, so I can't remember the exact date or cost.

Description of Work: Added a new outlet and dedicated electrical line through an existing conduit to increase the outlets & power required by several pieces of equipment located in one area.

Description of Work: They expanded several outlets, splitting some, adding surge outlets, fixed an outdoor outlet, fixed/reinstalled a motion sensor light switch near my garage entrance, installed a GFCI outlet in my bathroom, discussed numerous other things I want to have done. Very clean, very polite/friendly, very professional. Something went wrong and they were right back and fixed it immediately, no extra charge (even though it was probably because of the old wiring in my house). Great.

Description of Work: Sound Construction installed 3 outdoor electrical boxes on the exterior of our home. The electrician ended up coming later than originally scheduled because they couldn't reach me in the morning when they called to confirm, so they went to the next job first. They did keep in contact about the status of the job and when they would be there, so I didn't mind. Next time I would just find out in advance what time they'd be calling to confirm so I could be sure to be available. | |The electrician was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us decide where to install the boxes, explained the process he would use, and worked quickly to get the job done (it took about two hours to do all three). He cleaned up carefully afterwards and showed me how to modify the box if we wanted to use the knockout feature for cords. | |We would definitely use Sound Construction again.

Description of Work: They arrived on schedule. The quality of the work was excellent. They were punctual, personable and professional...the three P's of quality.

Description of Work: He installed a new ceiling fan and changed out many 2 prong outlets into 3 prong outlets. Fixed our stairway flickering light issues. He was very patient, very nice and he explained everything that was asked of him step by step with no problem. I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for a whole house electrical inspection. Joe came and listened to my key questions / areas for inspection and proceeded to check the house for electrical issues accordingly. He was very thorough and patient, explaining with expertise my electrical equipment and current setup, made suggestions for improvements, and eased my areas of concern. For example, he suggested some ways to improve the grounding and surge protection for the whole house, explained what to buy to properly replace a broken hardwired smoke alarm, and checked the overall circuitry for the house and garage. I am very pleased with the way the inspection went and I felt it was well worth the $39. I will consider this company for future home projects.

Description of Work: My house was flooded for three days last spring. My circuit breaker box was under water for three days. Despite cleaning and airing out, corrosion continued to expand and I made the decision to replace it. I bought "The Big Deal" for a breaker box replacement by Sound Construction. I was contacted immediately, we made an inspection appoinment and they came out as scheduled; they indicated I would need additional grounding work for the new box to meet code. (The village electrical inspector fully agreed with what they recommended.) They promptly quoted the additional work and we scheduled the install to be done after good weather began. I was forced to reschedule due to a work obligation and they repsonded and agreed to a new date. They called me the morning of the install, confirmed their arrival time, told me exactly what to expect and then did exactly what they promised. Professional, prompt, thorough, well-equipped, well prepared and they kept me informed of their progress. They are now in my contact list should I ever need additional electrical work. I wish that all service companies were this good!

Description of Work: Installed two wall sconces and a floor electrical outlet. | |The wall sconces went well but the wall had to be torn up to install wiring. I think this is a normal procedure, I assumed the wiring would be in the crawl space or the attic. The floor outlet required a drill size the electrician did not have nor could he get it at Home Depot. So he drilled a slightly oversize hole which I filled in with wood putty (hardwood floor).

Description of Work: Great job--professional, skilled, great value. Repaired weather damaged trim on garage overhead and service doors. Installed new lockset. Installed replacement hinges on kitchen cabinets.
