Specify Design

We did a gut renovation of a 3+ bedroom condo.  Kelly was extremely valuable throughout the whole process.  We interviewed 3-4 interior decorators but immediately found her ideas and styles were what we were looking for.  We had many great discussions on furnishings from cabinet handles to light fixtures to paint colors in each room.  She was engaging and seemed to care a lot about our project.  
Iterations and design: Kelly presented various outlines and options for each room.  She discussed her vision in each room and worked with our existing furniture and advised on where and what we could add. 
General Contractor: her advice in selecting a contractor was great and ultimately saved us a lot of money.  The contractor, Jack Stone (Jacek Kukla), was a great choice.  She has worked with many contractors out there.  
Kitchen: Her design selections were amazing: she picked everything from cabinets to lights to all appliances.  Sometimes we went with vendors she recommended and other times we did not...but she was objective the whole time.  She had great advice base on prior experience on what to avoid and what would work great over the long-term. She stayed within budget and got creative whenever we asked for other alternatives.  
Bathrooms: Her advice was great from picking exhaust fans to selecting counters, toilets, and sinks. 
Overall, we would recommend Kelly for any budget.  She is worth a conversation on any interior design project or renovation.  She is easy to work with and very candid on what is possible within a budget.  We loved her style ideas and how she integrated our existing furniture into our apartment with other things.  We are taking a break for now but will continue working with Kelly as we wrap up some carpets and furnishings in our place.  

I had been planning this project for years, and took advantage of an Angie's List coupon for design work to get the ball rolling. Kelly took control of the project from start to finish, which is what I needed since I travel a lot. I won't say there weren't some bumps in the road, but they invariably had to do with those who were contracted to do the work. I was very pleased with Kelly's plans, and took most of her recommendations. She is a pleasure to work with, very professional and responsive. I would definitely hire her again.

Design and collaboration was excellent from the start. We had very specific ideas (probably a designers worst nightmare) which Kelly seamlessly formed into a producible vision.

The transformation of our kitchen from a desperate space into a modern, highly-functional yet beautiful piece of art is testament to Kelly's capacity, imagination and--as was the case with our project--dedication and resilience in the face of unforeseen and un-controllable challenges.

Specify Design is solid and we'll be going back to Ms. Brown for future projects. . . repeatedly.
