Bash & Pepper provided a reasonable estimate and explained what was wrong with my roof that had caused it to leak (the fascia around the chimney had not be installed correctly and the boots/fascia around the vents had been the cheapest available). 
The crew did clean up daily.  Scott came back to recheck our roof and make sure he was happy with the fascia around the chimney and the work.  I would definitely work with them again.

They arrived sooner than estimated & charged less than estimated. I climbed up to inspect the work several days later & it appears sound (I'm not an expert); haven't had any leaks in that spot.

I had been having problems with a leak over my garage and with the last two big rains we had it really broke through. I called Bash and Pepper and a gentleman named Cord Schroeder came by almost immediately. He was very professional, kind and wasted no time getting up on my roof. I asked what he saw and he explained it was a fairly new roof but had been repaired before with the wrong material. He came back down, got his caulk and went up to repair it. After he finished he expained that it should hold just fine and if it does continue to leak it will be a small repair of putting in a piece of flashing. I asked how much I owed him and he joked it was a lot and then said 30.00, I almost fainted. I have been dealing with a number of home repairs lately and the low price of this one floored me. We as customers really are at the mercy of contractors and count on them for there integrity and honesty. They can charge as much or as little as they want so when someone fixes something simple as it turned out and only charges as such it really is a blessing. He also gave us a estimate on the larger repair if we end up needing it and it still wasn't bad.
I will definitely call this company in the future and recommend them to friends and family. Cord was a great representitive for the business, Wonderfull experience!! Oh, and no more leak!!

I answered the door and he asked what the problem was. I told him we had had some leaks and hail damage from several years ago, and that I, in my small knowledge, felt I might need a replacement. He told me point blank that he didn't think that I would need a new roof, because mine looked clean, and suggested repairing it. He then took a look at my roof. I went up with him, and he pointed to where the leak was (some flashing on some pipes) he took out some caulk and fixed it for me on the spot. He surveyed my hail damage and said "I'll be honest, I am in the business of selling roofs, but you don't need a replacement." I was floored. I asked him how long until he thought I would need a new roof. He said anywhere from 2 to 5 years. He then told me I would come out and check next spring, and if it needed it then he would submit his bid then, (unless I wanted to give him my money to do it now *he laughed*). I asked him how much he would need for the repair and he said nothing. Now, I don't want you dear reader to assume he does this regularly (free repairs) because normally he charges, but he said it was so minor that it was on the house. This guy really wants his customers to be happy and stay his customers, which is the BEST thing for a person you pay to want.
Needless to say, I will go with him when my roof does need replacement.

The original contractor (not Bash) made mistakes in flashing around all of the vents in our roof, causing leaks when we would have snow drifting on the roof. They sent a man out in very bad weather to give us a temporary fix, then came back after the weather improved to finish repairs. The final charge was less than the original estimate.

They sent a representative the next day after I called.  He gave me a quote and told me it would be about 3 weeks before they could get to my job.  That was fine with me.  About 3 weeks later, they arrived and did the work.  This is a fairly small job but sometimes it's hard to get workers to do these small jobs because they're only interested in major roof replacements.  Bash-Pepper seems to be an all around service company that takes on big and small work. Also, this work was done in late November when a lot of workers wouldn't want to get out on a steep roof.  I was very pleased.

Bash-Pepper reshingled the back half of my roof.  They were fast and efficient, and used a much better shingle than was originally used by my builder.

We use this firm every fall to clean our gutters.  They come when scheduled, and they clean up well afterwards.

Excellent, if somewhat slow to respond on occasion. However, when the time came to replace the full roof, I obtained bids and ultimately choose another provider.

After I called, Cord came out a few days later, looked it over, and mad a verbal quote.
I said OK, and he said for this small job, they would be out when they had a break.
A week or two latter, a crew showed up and finished the job that same day:
1.  Removed old overhanging drip edge metal at eaves and cut old shingles back flush with fascia board.
2.  Installed new white aluminum angle metal at eaves and stye "C" metal at rake edges.
3.  Installed precut starter shingles at eaves to provide factory applies thermoplastic sealin at bottom edge of first row shingles.
4.  Reroofed by hand nailing Tamko Heritage shingles.  I'll omit all the shingle features.
5.  Installed matching individual ridge shingles.
6.  Sealed existing vents and weathervane with clear terpolymer.
7.  Cleaned up and disposed of any debris.
All very professionally done!

Company was recommended by trusted home inspector. One of the managers came out very quickly to do an estimate and scope the problem. We had a long time intermittent roof leak that quickly became much worse in the heavy rains we had this fall. 
The work crew came out the next day, but didn't have time to complete the job, but did a temporary fix. They came back a few days later and completed the job. 
I'm happy with the quality of the work, the price, courtesy, and professionalism. 
My only complaint is that it took multiple trips over several days to complete the work.

I live in Chicago and needed someone to fix a small leak in the roof of my elderly mother's house in Champaign. I found Bash/Pepper on Angie's List and called them because of the consistently positive reviews. The person from the company (Cord) showed up at the scheduled time, called me in Chicago from the roof, and quickly found the problem in the membrane roof, which he described to me and was able to solve with some caulking. He also walked me through his observations about the general state of the roof, and said he saw no reason for any major work in the immediate future. (He easily could have tried to push a bigger project, because the part of the roof that had leaked has been untouched for roughly 40 years.) I asked how to handle the mechanics of the bill, and he said not to bother, and that they wouldn't charge us because it had just taken a few minutes -- he just asked that we keep them in mind if we decided to do work on the roof, or that if we sell the house we let the buyer know that they had recently taken a look at the roof, both of which I'll happily do.

He is the only asbestos  roofing contractor in the area who is certified to handle the work and disposal the materials. He was here right on time at 7:30 am this morning. We are happy with the work so far. We had previously hired him and were happy with the work then as well. He once came out in the middle of the night when we had a leak and it was raining and put a tarp over the roof until he could work on it later date.
