Gray Tree Service

These guys do great work, however, a bit on the expensive side. I spoke with Rick most of the time to handle appointments and payments. I was a little displeased that it took them a while to perform the job & at one point, I didn't they would come at all. However, I think it was due to logistics and scheduling adjustments. In general I was happy with the end result & I would use them again.

Everything went well. The service arrived on time and began work immediately. Within two hours the team completed the work, including clean up.

Gray's Tree Service did an excellent job with our tree removal. The work was scheduled for Friday afternoon, estimated to begin around 1pm. A couple of the workers showed up early, introduced themselves, and took a look at what work was to be done. The rest of the workers were there on time and got right to the job. We had a tree removed in both the front and back yard, and they were working on both at the same time. All of the workers were very professional and courteous and very good-natured about my 2 1/2 year old daughter wanting to watch the whole process (from a safe distance on the deck, under my supervision, of course). The work was done quickly, and the workers did an excellent job hauling away all of the branches and raking up all of the debris. I would definitely use them again for any work I might need done in the future.

Rick was punctual, pleasant and professional in giving his estimate. He said it would be a while before they could do the work. They called about three weeks (?) later to make an appointment to do the trimming and again were pleasant and courteous on the phone. At the appointed date and time, the crew was here and completed their job in a professional and timely manner, The clean-up was satisfactory. Since I already paid $99 for $99 to $200 dollars worth of work, I found the added $350 rather high. 4

So far it has gone very well. I was inquiring about having them trim a pear tree. I called them up and one of the gentlemen called me back on a Sunday night to follow up on my call. He then went out 2 days later to look at the tree and give me an estimate which was within an acceptable range. I haven't had the work done yet because fruit trees are not trimmed until fall so he is going to call me back in September. He was very prompt in calling me back, I was surprised to get a call so quickly on a Sunday night and then promptly he got someone out to look at it. He gave me the estimate and some comments on what needed to be done.

Overall, I was happy with the service from Gray. I had an Angie's List deal, which brought down the price by $100. They were prompt with their initial estimate, but it took them awhile to actually perform the work. I had to call a couple of times to find out when they were coming. i used them a year ago, and I didn't have that issue -- they were very responsive. Perhaps they were really busy this time due to their Angie's List deal.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and it was just fine. They did a great job and were efficient and thorough. They did a good job of cleaning up everything after themselves. I could not tell they were even there.

We had purchased a big deal for the service and it went very well. That was our first time using them. They were very prompt, and then they came out for a quote the same day, and they come to cut the trees the next day. They were very quick. We would recommend them to family and friends.

I called Gray because another outfit was not rated(comfortable) for removals near power lines. Prompt estimate. We agreed on price and scheduled removal. A day later Gray called and asked if they could come out sooner(that day), as they were in the area. That worked out well for me. They arrived with 3 trucks, and 8 guys. I showed the crew leader what was needed. They got set up and started within 15 minutes. 2 1/2 hrs. later they were cleaned up and gone. They did the work efficiently, safely and cleanly. It was almost fun to watch. Good crew. Worked together well. Good Job Gray Tree Service, well worth the price.

They are reasonable. If you tell them what you need they will deliver it and stack it if you want. The wood burns good, it is good wood. He left the wood where I told him.

In general they were very friendly, kind and flexible. The pricing I feel like they didn't take into account the coupon. I'm not sure who got the break on price regarding the coupon. I don't know if that was given by the service rendered, but it didn't seem to apply. It was taken, but I didn't feel like it was taken into account for the service provided. I asked for more services to be done, so I feel like he made up for his little discount when he priced out the rest of the work. So there wasn't really much of a discount. He was very kind. The initial thing was to remove two weed trees, like stump removal. Then I have an incredibly long hedge and I asked him to do something and so they did a little bit and it turned out to be a bigger job than maybe I thought. But maybe the hedge had also the neighbor's weed thing growing in it. Maybe I just didn't understand it completely. They gave me a higher price than somebody whom I got afterwards.

Rich was very knowledgeable, professional and communicative. The team was on time, professional, and safe. Another reviewer hit it on the nail by saying that Gray Tree service is a well oiled machine!

This was only for an estimate. But I appreciated Rick coming out for the estimate. His price was fair and competitive; but unfortunately I decided to go with another provider.

Great only charged me 150 more for stump grind and trim apple tree.

They were on time, quick and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves as well. I was satisfied and would hire them again!

The provider came out to the house on time and was pleasant. I showed him what was to be done and he said he would email me the estimate. I was shocked that he came in with a price that was twice what the other 2 tree companies were estimating.

These people are phenomenal. They are terrific. When the guy came out, he looked at everything. I told him what I needed and he repeated it so that I absolutely understood that he knew that he understood what I wanted done. Rick got back to me and confirmed what we talked about and we setup a date. They came not too long after that which I was surprised because his first call was right after the storm. So I didn't expect very quick service but they came and did exactly what I asked and they cleaned up. I am very pleased. I would definitely call them again if I need them.

I got a call late at night, from someone that didn't even give me his name. Said I asked for a quote. I told him I did. He provided to tell me the wrong tree and didn't even notice the overgrown bush. He asked where the tree was, that he didn't even see it, I told him 5 feet west and 1 foot north of the tree he did see. He said he didn't see the bush and again asked where was it. I told RIGHT behind the tree he didn't even notice. He asked where was the evergreen, I told him if in came into the yard, the tree was the first thing he would have seen as it was 15 feet from the entrance. All he said was WOW, I don't know what I was looking at, I guess I will have to go back and check it out again. I told him no problem and to call me with the quote. As of 7/14/13 no one from this company has contacted me.

Great price, very easy to work with.

They removed a tree for me and it went very well. They came out on time and did an excellent job. I am fully pleased and I would use them again.
