Boats
Beware, I took my newer Bayliner to have the outdrive sealed up after noticing a leak. Duncans staff were prompt to take me in and were nice. After I had the work done, I put the boat in the water to only to find the outdrive was still leaking. No, problem I thought. So I called Duncan Marine and asked if they could get it back in and sealed up, because the first time something happened. They gladly took it in and tore it down and reset the seals etc. A week later they said the boat was ready. I was happy to have it back and to know that the leak has been fixed. I had the boat in the water twice and ran for about 10 hours. Then I had my first child. The boat was winterized and placed in the shop with a cover on it. Flash forward to today. My isn't a year old and I just uncovered the boat to get it sumerized for the season. Guess what, the outdrive is still leaking, there was a sizeable amount of oil on the ground that leaked out. So, I called Duncan Marine and asked if they would look at it to see if they could determine what was happening. The polite lady that answers the phone said that will be a charge and any work will cost you, stating that we do not warranty our work, after all it is a boat you know and we have bad weather here. Beware of this outfit. they operate in a residential lot and from my experience will be fast and nice to get you in, but cannot perform simple repairs and will not stand by their work. Take your boat to another facility if you want to keep your power train from rusting out. There is nothing good that can come from their services. I was told that they are not even certified by the manufactures. You make the call on who works on your boat and you have been forwarned.
