Pet Paradise

We were customers for years and it has slowly gone down hill. After several instances our last experience was the final straw.

Honestly, the most awful experience I have ever had with a company. This groomer we booked with Dylan - lacked experience, had zero patience, and was not professional. He started off the conversation with a horrible attitude and even called back to basically backtrack. He SHAVED DOWN TO THE SKIN of both of my golden doodles. Due to COVID, moving into a new home, a brand new baby, and our groomer not accepting appointments - we were unable to get our guys in. Pet Paradise had an opening so I took it. Little did I know, they employ someone like this. Dylan did not try and spend a little bit of time with my golden doodles. Instead of shaving a few spots on the (7 year old) golden doodle's hind legs where there were a few matted spots, he decided to shave both dogs down to the skin. They are completely bald from nose to tail. The Puppy just needed a wash and a good brushing, he still had puppy hair and he gets brushed DAILY. He still decided to take the LAZIEST way out and shave them. We are currently taking care of their wounds with bandages and topical ointment from getting cut all over their neck and other various places on their bodies. The front desk also lacks experience. She did not recommend the groomer that "specializes" in Golden doodles, but instead placed them with someone that is BRAND NEW and clearly has no idea how to groom these breeds. Pet Paradise needs to send its people back through training and development to avoid anything like this ever again. They even monitor their Facebook reviews and don't let reviews get posted without approving them. You would think they would try and help the situation, but they are sweeping it under the rug. I wonder how many they do this to? Awful Experience with Pet Paradise. Please avoid this groomer at all costs! I should have read the reviews thoroughly and took it as a sign that the only good reviews are about the doggy daycare and not about the groomers. AVOID DYLAN THE GROOMER at all costs.

We LOVE Pet Paradise! More importantly, our golden retriever Harper Lee loves it. We have been regular clients for several years, and each visit has been consistently excellent. From the reservation process to the quality care to the post-stay evaluations, the Pet Paradise team makes this place a home away from home for our dog. Highly recommend!

I continue to have great experiences with Pet Paradise on Camp Creek Parkway. I use their services at least twice a week. My dog loves going there and I love taking him!

In the past - before the buyout by Pet Paradise and all new staff- Bark Station (now called Pet Paradise)  was a good establishment.  I had been with them for years.  But then Pet Paradise came in in 2015.  

In August 2015- Gerry and Eddie (my beloved Springer’s - both are rescues) went to day camp at Pet Paradise. The staff let my senior age 9  Gerry overplay all day.  When I got Gerry home he collapsed at 3:30AM  the following  morning and could not get up and had to be rushed to the vet for emergency pain killers for his hips spoke with the manager (after two voicemails that went unreturned) and explained that Gerry may be too old too be back there. They said they would modify/shorten all seniors play time and reminded me I had paid for a package in advance and should use it when I could.  OK fair enough I thought.     I should have learned my lesson.   

May 2016:  I boarded my two beloved fur kids Eddie (Springer Spaniel) and Sammie (Lab Rhodesian Mix a new rescue) for Memorial Day Weekend 2016.  When I arrived to pick them up Sammie was OK, but poor Eddie was in very bad condition.  Eddie was so stressed out panting and drooling- that from his chin all the way down his chest his fur was matted to his skin.  NOTE:  Any dog person knows when a dog is panting and drooling excessively that is a sign of SEVERE stress.  But the handler (looked like she was maybe 16) was  totally unaware!!  She then said- oh maybe we left him outside the heat too long. REALLLLLY? 

No one (not even the manger Trevor) seemed to have a clue as to why Eddie was in this stressed condition.  I got Eddie in the car and he immediately went to sleep –passed out actually). For the next week Eddie was off his food and sleeping more than usual.  I called Pet Paradise several times to try and find out what had happened- but no one ever called me back with an explanation. 

I WILL NOT EVER BE BACK !!!! EVER This Paradise is no paradise at all.  Not a good place

They take caring and specialized care of both of my dogs. I love being able to check in on them via the webcam. Also, their pick-up and drop-off days and times are so convenient. I'd also like to add that Bark Station supports a local dog rescue by fostering dogs. Can't say enough about Bark Station!

I called to check On my pet and the person that responded was very disrespectful. After that experience i wanted to remove my dog but unfortunately I was out of town. So I assumed for the best. My dog survived but I would only used them if I have no choice. Also, they are not very flexible.

Extremely well. My dog was happy to see me, but I could tell that she enjoyed her stay and was well -treated.

It is one of my dog's favorite places to go. They clipped my puppy's nails. I go to them because of their kindness towards my puppy. They will let me hold him while they do his nails. They are supper sweet with him. They have tubs that you can walk your dog into and shampoo him. They provide everything you need. It is $10 during the week and $15 on weekends. It is nice because I do not have to clean my bathroom up. They also have showers if they do not like tubs. The staff is the most dog friendly people I have ever met.
