Empire Heating & Air Conditioning

Although I called regarding a $55 dollar maintenance call there were other issues that needed to be addressed. This was a short sale property I had aquired so I knew there could be issues with the unit as is would not run continuously. The representative was on time and did a analysis of the unit. I had already done some research so I had an idea of how much the job would be. He did the check up and went right into the issue that was causing the unit to shut off. He explained everything to me and even had a manuel that explained the issue in-depth. Since this is a rental property I wanted everything checked. He did that and most importantly gave me options. He was forth right and because I google and research everything, what he said was true. He wasn't pushy but candid about the results of each option.

They are really terrific. I trust them to keep my systems running. Service guys are good. Not over friendly, but very professional. I have had a service contract with them for years and they always go the second mile.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out okay. The problem was that I thought they were going to do a complete check up of the air conditioning and heating, and then when they got here, they said it was just one or the other. I had to pay an extra 55 Dollars to purchase another. They seemed fine. They weren't exceptionally friendly, but they seemed to know what they were talking about, and explained a few things that I had asked about.

I am happy to provide a second review for Empire service. This was the second time they returned to service a second and different unit. Empire stuck with the discounted charge of its coupon. No bait and switch here, charge for additional work not covered by Empire discount . I am sure Empire would charge for additional work for old unit requiring extra work. However, they have earned my trust because they are honest when recommending any additional work. I highly recommend their service and purchasing their maintenance service packages. I plan to use their services in the future for all my heating and A/C needs.

It was good. There was an additional cost because there was a problem and there was a part that was bad. They took care of everything. They came when they said they were gonna come. The people were good. I was very happy with them.

They're awesome! They communicate very well. They're on time. They're very knowledgeable.

Installed and relocated A/C unit. Ran new condenser line through basement ceiling and through new opening in outside wall. Guys were pro's and worked all day at it. Results weren't perfect cosmetically, but they clearly knew their HVAC game. Professional company.

Overall good experience. Technician was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The only issue is that I requested service between noon and 4PM, and he didn't arrive until about 5PM. It would have been nice if Empire had communicated that he was running behind; it's no big deal; these things happen. I would definitely recommend Empire for HVAC service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went reasonably well. I won't call them again but they came and did what they were supposed to do. Nothing stood out. They were good but not outstanding. Their price was reasonable. I would not use them again because I got the unit replaced and they were not the low bidder.

The technician arrived as expected, quickly noting that the fan had flown off of the compressor, a condition he said he had not seen before. After calling the office to place an order for a replacement fan, he indicated that it would take about 7-10 days for the part to come in. He returned during the expected time frame and installed the fan. Before leaving, he checked the furnace filter as well as a downstairs vent, in which I suspected mold. He was very helpful and he was professional in his manner.

We replaced our entire system with Empire. Chris met with us to review options to replace/upgrade the gas furnace, air conditioner and improve the ducting. The crew delivered all work on schedule. They followed up the job with an inspection to assure job was completed per contract and factory settings on all equipment. We plan to use Empire for yearly maintenance, these guys know HVAC.

The service was okay. It was good. I didn't have any issues with them. The price was good.

The guy showed up on time and actually tried to explain how the AC system works and exactly what he was doing. He really took pride in his work and I really appreciated him taking time to explain everything to me. I would definitely us them again.

They were going to detect whether there were leaks or not, but they weren't going to tell me where the leaks were, so it was pointless.

Technician appeared to be competent but I heard a couple of loud crashes while he was working on units in the attic. When he was done with his inspection and service he recommended that I replace the coolant in both units. I declined that service until I could get a 2nd opinion. I must admit that I did not some understand some of the technical information that the technician reported to me after his inspection.

I noticed my A/C was not cooling as well as I thought it should. I bought the Big Deal hoping it was something simple. They came and performed the inspection noting that most points were working fine, but noted there was evidence of a leak. The offered to perform leak detection and also refill the coolant. I asked for the coolant to be filled and they performed that. Based on the set-up at my house, he noted that I will most likely need a replacement A/C system soon (I already knew that). What I did not know wast that the condensor unit would only use R-20 coolant (new supplies of this are banned in the US due to environmental issues). He noted that once this supply runs out there will be no more coolant for this unit. Therefore I will need to replace the entire system (I did not know that). He didn't try to pressure me into it immediately, but suggested I just wait a while and see how this holds out and re-evaluate next year. Overall I was happy with his honesty, prompt service, and the price.

It went well. It was an average maintenance call. Nothing was wrong- they switched out filters and checked the unit inside and outside the house.

It didn't go that well. He came down and I think he was in a rush and with the quote that he gave us. He didn't really wanted to run anything and he had another client that he was trying to get to. The service was not good so I ended up going with somebody else. I don't think they actually did anything and could not diagnose that there was something . I think he was was new with this company and he acted like he did not know much.
