It is now two weeks since Cool Air Mechanical installed new air conditioning in my house after the old R22 Freon compressor died. Just 18 months earlier the furnace had died and they came out and installed a 17.5 inch Lennox Elite furnace. We did not buy an air conditioning system at that time because the one we had was working great. But now the search for a new Air Conditioning system. 1. First off, my house had hot spots (A. Master bedroom with a 15 foot plus headboard wall which greeted the early morning July and August sun), (B. A Bonus room over the garage which was in the sun all day). To help the bonus room out, there was a window AC placed in the window which took away from the look of the house (and not allowed in most subdivisions in Atlanta). 2. This makes the second time that our HVAC system had gone out in less than 24 months and we were either freezing in 25 degrees weather or sweating in 90 plus heat. BIDS: Every other AC company that came out and looked at the failed system, and commented on the great work that was done on the furnace/air handler installation 18 months ago. DECISION: So I decided I wanted a dual 12000 BTU head Mini split heat pump installed along with the new whole house R410 air compressor and A coil. This would give us a backup just in case the whole house main system died again, we could just move to the part of the house with the mini splits systems until the whole system was repaired. Also, the mini split system would have built in thermostats in each head unit and would cool the rooms further if the main whole house system had cooled enough for the main house and shut off. PROBLEM: My bedroom and the bonus room both had Cathedral type ceilings (slanted). My wife did not want the head units hanging on the walls. Our salesman Jon says that the in ceiling head units had to be flat and level, so that meant no in ceiling installation of the mini-split head units. SOLUTION: A.) Buy a $500 service contract that would cover the whole system for six years with a 3-hour response time if called in before 5:00 pm. That would take care of our down time. B.) Zoning with a bypass installation. They would check out and redo the duct work to the zoned rooms, install zoning system and put thermostats in the bonus and master bedroom. That way each zone could call the air compressor when needed and any extra air from the AC handler would be recycled back in. (NO HANGING WALL HEADS Wife Happy). INSTALLATION: The day of installation, Victor and Maverick worked the entire day on the removing old duct work and installing new electric dampened duct work, Zoning Board, Air Compressor, Circuit Breaker, Thermostats and Thermostat wiring to all zones. The Lennox Elite 3.5 ton Air Compressor which I order was not in stock so they upgraded me to an Elite 4 ton 16 SEER at no extra cost. The zoning panel was from Honeywell and they used Honeywell 9000 WIFI thermostats which turned out to be more accurate than my First Alert WIFI thermostat in controlling room temperatures (feels a lot better). They were able to place the new thermostats where I wanted them on the wall. It was a cool day (high of 75) when they did the install, so we really could not test the system fully. A couple of days later it was hot and the bonus room had an issue where the AC would not shut off (FREEZING BONUS ROOM). I called in that evening and the next day they were there. It appears that the wall where the thermostat was installed insulation had fallen down and the heat from the attic was right on the back of the thermostat. They caulked all holes and replaced the insulation and everything works great now. With the Costco rebates they were better priced than others and we had more warranty coverage.

Continue to be very happy with Cool Air. Purchased my system via Costco about 2 years ago. Received 2 years worth of preventative maintenance services as part of purchase and just recently added another 6 years of PMA with a buy 3-year get 3-years free offer. Today's tech was John Roberson and he was great.

We replaced one HVAC in our home. We went though Costco, the salesman (Sheikh) came out super nice guy knew his stuff got it scheduled in 2 days with no problems The installation guys (Moiese & Berny) was professional and did a great job. Everything was easy, quick and clean couldn't be happier with this company.

Great, the tech, Steve Coleman, was very knowledgeable and took time to explain what he was doing and address my questions. He also found apart that needed to be replaced.The part was still under warranty.

All in all, we were extremely pleased with the results of the job as well as with the integrity of the representatives we worked with. Great experience from beginning to end! Jon did a fantastic job suggesting the appropriate solution for a replacement for our 18 year-old system (heating and cooling) that bit the dust. The install date was only a few days later. Vernon and Jason showed up on time and worked almost invisibly to get the entire system installed quickly and efficiently. Their work was quick, clean and organized. Kudos to Cool Air!

We had to replace our furnace. The entire experience with Cool Air was great. The install team, Vernon, Jason, and ETL did an awesome job. They were very efficient in completing the installation. I'd highly recommend Cool Air.

The biggest thing I liked about them was the initial visit when the rep came out to see what needed to be done, they did not try to up sell me. He did not say replace both systems as they were the same age. He said to just replace the broken one until the other unit breaks. They contract with Costco and 10% of the contract I get a Costco gift card for.

When they came out the second time that repairman was for phenomenal. He was supposed to charge me for another visit. He was so apologetic. He looked at the problem. He fixed it. He addressed it. He was so pleasant. He was real nice. The fact that I had to again was negated by the fact that he was so pleasant and so attentive. I didn't care that he was having to come back again. It was at the end of the day on like a Saturday. He spent over an hour and he stayed until it was done. I don't know that I would have given him such a great rating if he hadn't been so diligent. I was so frustrated and he heard what had happened. He said I know what I am supposed to tell you, but we are going to fix it.

I called Cool Air Mechanical, and they were very courteous and helpful. A friendly and efficient technician, Steven Coleman, was sent out and he quickly determined that the compressor was faulty. The necessary replacement part was in stock. A different technician, 'Maverick' (real first name) also very friendly and efficiently performed the repair. Both technicians did an excellent job, were neat and clean, and willingly answered my questions and concerns. I feel that their primary goal was to do everything necessary to perform their job properly, rather than 'quickly finish and then move on to the next customer and then be home in time for dinner'. I have used this company for a few years, and I have always been happy with their service and prices, no matter what type of work was needed (installation of a new unit, routine maintenance, or repair work). I have always used Stan Bailey as my sales rep, and he has similarly been friendly, efficient, and seemed genuinely interested in selling me what I actually needed, rather than wanted. He took the time to accurately measure my house, counted and measured my windows, assessed the insulation and ductwork etc for an a/c load calculation. This helped avoid the common mistake of buying bigger a/c units than I actually needed, thus doing a better job of removing humidity from my very well insulated home. The smaller a/c units were also less expensive than if I had insisted on purchasing sizes similar to the larger units that were being replaced.

The installers Vernon and Jason were punctual, friendly, and very professional. They replaced a warrantied Evaporator Coil that had a leak in it and from start to finish the overall job took under 2 hours. They were very diligent, paid attention detail, and wanted to make sure that everything worked perfectly before they departed. I would definitely use Cool Air Mechanical again. Great job guys! They are quick, efficient, polite and professional. The cost seems reasonable compared to competitors and we have never had any issues with scheduling convenient visits or dealing with issues (even when they were user error!) Our technician, Nima Naderpour, is great and clearly explains everything.

Our experience was excellent! Master Plumber Billy Mayville was a pleasure to deal with . He was knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. Because of him, we will definitely call Cool Air when we have a need in the future.

Ahmed Sheikh was the salesman who came to my house. He was very nice and informative. He told me about a number of rebates through Costco and also a $400 rebate through Jackson EMC. The other companies I had interviewed never told me about any rebates. When I had followup questions he emailed me or called me with responses. The day of the installation Pedro and Zenon arrived on time and were very professional. They did the installation quickly and with no problems. Pedro asked me several times if I wanted him to go over how to operate the new system and the thermostat. They cleaned up everything and left my property spotless. Ahmed Sheikh called me the evening of the installation and emailed me a copy of the certificate that I needed for the Jackson EMC $400 rebate. It was a very positive experience.

I hadn't planned to install all-new AC and furnace, but received an excellent quote from Cool Air. It was hard to pass up, especially since the equipment was to be Lennox--a brand that is revered in the business as being of the utmost quality. Cool Air also installs Amana and several other brands, but why not go for the absolute best when the price is at rock-bottom comparatively? I have to add that the installer, Vernon, and his assistant, Raymond, did the company proud. I can't say that I've ever dealt with any professionals, including carpenters, plumbers or electricians who were any more professional. They put as much time and energy into the job as needed to ensure it was done right. And, by the end of their eight hours here (yes, that's all the time it took to install a new AC unit, furnace, and connecting duct work!), I felt like I'd known these guys for years: they were friendly, courteous, and took the utmost pride in a job that they do day after day. Unlimited Kudos to Vernon, Raymond, and Cool Air for doing the best job that could be done. Thank you!

Awesome! Our Service Tech (Sean Haynes) arrived exactly when he said he would (even gave us a courtesy call to let us know he was on his way), and performed all the necessary routine maintenance on our systems in a very professional and courteous manner! This was our second experience with Cool Air since we signed up with them six months ago - and we were very happy with the service, and with the Technician.
