Drs. Carey & Jones

Dr. Carey, Dr. Jones, their hygienists and staff run a friendly, highly efficient operation. My daughter is a worrier and she is not afraid to go to the dentist(s); she is truly looking forward to having her cross-bite fixed. We are always in and out quickly, but given everything we need to know to get to the next appointment. My daughter has had zero cavities (before and) since she became a patient here and loves the treats and orthodontic incentive system. Highly recommended.

I had taken my child there a few years prior to have a filling and extraction performed. It was traumatic because my son is nervous at the dentist but he did well overall, I was told at the time. During this more recent visit, three years later, my child was very cooperative and proud of himself for being still during the exam and x-rays. The nurses also remarked on how well he did. When I went back to meet with Dr Carey, he was curt, and complained that my son had multiple cavities and would need "extensive work." When I said ok, he kept focusing on how difficult it will be to work on him, and that he wasn't even cooperative during that day's exam, nor during the last dental work. (I found it hard to believe Carey could remember details of my child's dental behavior from over three years ago, but ok.) Confused, I mentioned that the nurses said he did well that day, and he disagreed. I then told him that I'm sure he sees children with multiple cavities quite often, yet he acted as if my child's 5 cavities were unheard of, and even stated that most children he sees are cooperative. I was speechless, and simply turned and left, feeling that this dentist just didn't want to treat my son. I believe he is either not capable of dealing with children as a whole, or he wasn't interested in keeping us as patients because I don't bring my son in for cleanings every six months as they recommend. He is rude, offensive and appears to be in this business only for profit. He should not be in the pediatric field, in my opinion, and I do not recommend him for any child who cannot act just like an adult during exams and treatment. Let me be clear, my son isn't perfectly still during exams and treatment, nor is he a flailing, uncontrollable crazy child either. He's a pretty typical boy. The whole experience was a waste of our time and money and I do not recommend this "pediatric" dentist to anyone.

Easy, efficient, friendly

She loved her first dentist visit. The visit was on her 3rd birthday, and they showered her with little trinkets and stickers. They have a cute child's play/waiting room. The dental hygenists are caring and gentle, explaining all the procedures before starting. For the first visit, the parent goes back with their child, but subsequent visits the child goes back alone. Dr. Carey was nice and gave a long speech about children eating candy and drinking juice, but I'm sure he sees a lot of children with cavities.

Consult was informative and they scheduled us quickly. Provided the least invasive treatment and we could not be happier. Highly recommended.

I love Dr. Carey! He is very friendly and wonderful with children. His staff are also terrific. My daughter has never felt afraid of going to the dentist. I highly recommend him.

I think the visit went well overall.

As an adult this was a completely new experience. Although I understand orthodontics is a kids dominated arena I was surprised to be in an open room for exam, however it didn't ffeel as awkward as I expected, it was just fine. I have not had time to follow up and get other quotes but they were so friendly and the dentist explained things so well they are on my list of possibilities.

He was very good & very attentive. They have good hygienists. We never had a problem with him. My son had no fear of going to the dentist; they were very pleasant. We never had a changed appointment in all those years which is pretty rare as well. They always did a great job cleaning & kept him from having cavities. He also got braces through this office, just with a different dentist. It's a large, well-established practice in Tallahassee that I got several recommendations to go to.

We have used Drs Carey and Jones for many years and have 4 kids. They seem to be good dentists, thorough and professional. The dental assistants are the best - very caring and gentle! The office staff tend to be a bit snooty, and almost like they are doing you a favor. The last time I visited, Dr. Carey was on his cell phone while he was talking with me about the check up. I should have spoken up at the time, but didn't. I think I was just so surprised. I will give them one more try.
