everything works, but of course the bill was higher than the pre paid coupon. hard to say, but this happens all the time. maybe I do not know the real costs of these operations.

When they came out, they wanted to charge $600 more than what I had already paid. I was able to find another provider who did it for only $200.

I had what I thought was a short in the wiring to my kitchen ceiling light/fan fixture. They came out on time--even a little early--and identified the problem as being in the light fixture on the fan. I had bought a replacement fan so that I had one on hand when they arrived. They promptly began assembling the new fan and installed it without delay. Then they found a faulty light switch leading to the fan, so they replaced that also. In addition, when I asked about an issue I had last year with the neutral ground wire coming in from the utility pole they discussed all possible ramifications and then took a look at my panel (my house was built in 1959) as well. The service call went very well, my kitchen light now works, and I have a better understanding of my issues with FPL. I am a happy customer. :) I would gladly use Bolt Electric again.

I was away on a business trip when all the power in my house went out. I have 6 fish tanks, so power outages can be deadly to my fish. My house sitter contacted me and asked and quot;who is your electrician.and quot; I remembered that I had an AL deal with Bolt Electric that I had not used yet. I had the house sitter call the number on the coupon, and they came out immediately. They identified the problem as a dangerous problem with FPL, and told him to call them immediately. He did, and when they came out to fix the issue they told us my house could have burned down. They immediately turned my power off until they had the problem resolved. Thanks to Bolt Electric's quick response we were able to get FPL out to the house right away to fix this dangerous problem. We also were able to get the power back on in a reasonable time and did not lose a single fish. Very helpful, very quick to respond. Thanks Bolt.

It was great. They were professional and arrived promptly. One electrician came out.

I purchased the Big Deal wherein I would pay $99.00 toward $259.00 worth of electrical work. Well, I wound up paying 298.00 for the technician to change a circuit breaker. He appeared relatively new to the trade, because he was unable to find things pertaining to electrical components that would have been easily identifiable to a seasoned electrician. He spent around 1-2 hours to find out that it was the circuit breaker. My overall impression was that the service provided was not worth the price charged. On the positive they were professional as I received a courtesy call indicating technicians arrival time. The the technician was also punctual and courteous.

I bought the Angie's list deal where I paid $99 for $259 of electrical services. $59 of the amount goes away for the service call so $200 goes toward the repair (and you have already paid $99 of that). Our appointment window was from 11-3 pm, which originally had been 8-12 but I had to change it. We received a call at 2:30 pm that our service technician would be there in 30 minutes and he didn't arrive until 3:30 pm. Travis first checked the ceiling fan and determined that it was probably an internal problem with the ceiling fan light as the fan was still operating. We chose not to have that repaired and so the only work we had done was putting a GFI outlet outside on the front porch. Travis had to go get a part that he needed for the job so he left and returned at 4:10 pm. My husband was here during the installation and I returned home from work at 4:50 pm and Travis was writing up the paper work for the job. The total cost for the installation (plus parts) was $312.75 so with the $200 credit, I still had to pay an additional $112.75. Travis was very polite and professional and the outlet works well. However, I won't use this company again as we believe that the cost seemed very high for work that took less than 45 minutes to do.

They could not get to the problem for 10 days so I handled the issue myself. Cancelled appoinment on 08/12/2014.

I wanted GFCI's installed in my kitchen but when they gave the price of the part I decided to not have them do it. I was surprised that they would charge $60-70 for a $15 part.

Quick and effective replacement of the pump controller for our sprinkler system.

They advertised for a COMPLETE home surge inspection for $99. Not true! The package for $99 only includes MOTOR-RUN applicances, like air conditioners, pool pumps, etc. TV, computers, kitchen appliances, etc. are not motor-run, and therefore not included in the $99 package. There is an additional $298 charge for the COMPLETE package, and Bolt Electric does not tell you that until they arrive. This is DISHONEST advertising. I give them a C grade.

It all was quite quick and easy.

It went very well. The first visit he gave us an estimate of the jobs we wanted done and then we chose the ones to be done. We also wanted an electrical outlet outside the house but the estimate was almost $600.00 so we chose not to have him do that. It was cheaper if we bought the garage light ourselves which we did and he came back a second time to install it plus the other 2 smaller jobs. He was right on time both visits and explained everything. Very professional.

Gentleman was prompt, did the work and explained everything. Would use the Company again.

The technician asked for details of wat I was trying to accomplish and actually suggested an alternative that saved me money.

He was very professional and knowledgeable. Wished I had a new switch for him to install but didn't know what it was until he tested.

The guys were fast to do the work and fixed the issue. They were in contact with me and informed me of everything they were doing to correct the issue as well as recommendations in the future.

Bolt Electric arrived on time. When they went inspect the site, they notice that ceiling light fixture was not fan-rated so they had to go buy a fan-rated brace box. While one electrician went to buy the brace box, the other electrician put the fan and light fixture together. Once the brace box was back at the house, they began to install the bracket. when they went to turn off the power to the patio at the CB Panel, they noticed that the AC Circuit Breaker that was installed was not properly rated and recommended that it be replaced. I agreed. So while one electrician continued to install the patio fan and light fixture, the other electrician went to procure a new AC Circuit Breaker since they did not have one on the truck. They completed the installation on the patio fan and light fixture, installed the remote on the living room wall, and installed the new AC Circuit Breaker in about 3 hours from the time they first arrived. Both electricians were totally professional and did a great job. I recommend them highly. This is the second job that they have done for me.

The technician came on time and explained the process to me. I opted to upgrade from the Angie's List deal to a more powerful surge protector. The technician also noticed something else that needed taken care of. I will schedule that service with the company in the future.

Bought $99 special from Angie's List promo. Value was supposed to be for $259 worth of service, which included a $59 service call. When booking appointment, we told company what we wanted done. We also had some faulty wiring in a electric recliner, but the company said they didn't do that work. Technician showed up on time. Didn't have any information from company on what to do, or fact that Angie's List had already been paid. Then said cell phone wasn't charged and left for half hour. The only service we had performed was replacement of three rocker switches. Company charged additional $60, so cost per switch was regularly $86 per switch PLUS $59 service call, or $317. Even with promo, price seems excessive for no significant electrician expertise required. We took promo because we thought it was worth it vs. our time to repair ourselves. Technician also had evaluation sheet which said had to be filled out while he was there. Spouse didn't feel comfortable making negative comments while he was there, so didn't include true comments on evaluation. Would not use this company again. 2nd experience with Angie's List promos which was not good. Companies view it as paid marketing to get in door, then jack up prices and/or try to sell new service. Will just use Angie's List now for known service at known price - no more and quot;specialsand quot;.
