After owning our home in PGA Verano for about two years we decided the landscaping needed an upgrade. Coconuts did some work for a close friend who also owns a home in our development and the work they did for her looked great so we gave them a call. I spoke with Mr. Lopez and explained what we had in mind; he came out at the agreed time so we could discuss the project. Our requirements were fairly simple; we wanted additional plants along the sides and back to help prevent an ongoing problem with the lawncare contractor damaging stucco with their mowers by cutting too close to the house. We also wanted to remove some of the plants supplied by the builder that we did not care for and replace them with something more colorful and attractive. Coco asked several questions and made suggestions, we concluded the meeting with his promise to make a detailed drawing and e-mail it to us for approval.
Mr. Lopez delivered the drawing and cost estimate as promised, after agreeing to the terms we forwarded the drawing to our HOA for their approval. They asked for some minor changes which we accepted and then mailed Mr. Lopez a deposit to cover cost of materials, he contacted us within a few days and we agreed on a starting date.
The day before the agreed starting date Mr. Lopez called to advise what he had planned and told me what time they expected to arrive. Coconuts crew of two men arrived within the promised window and spent the afternoon removing undesired plants and preparing the ground for the new ones, the crew did a nice job cleaning up before they left that first evening. The following day it was all hands on deck with Mr. Lopez supervising and working with his crew, the three men spent the entire day planting the new items and grooming the project. At the end of day two Mr. Lopez said he needed a couple more plants and additional rock to finish up and promised to return early the next day.
All three men returned the next morning and spent several more hours completing the job. Heavy rain the previous night had exposed a flaw with one downspout causing some mulch to erode and we discussed a solution, Mr. Lopez said he would return the following week to make that correction. I was particularly impressed with his attention to detail; very clear that Mr. Lopez takes great pride in his work. All debris was removed; they cleaned muddy footprints from pavers and the concrete sidewalk with a pressure washer and left the home looking immaculate, very impressive. Coconuts returned the following week as promised and corrected the drainage issue, since I was not home at that time Mr. Lopez took several pictures to document his solution and the work required and attached them along with the final invoice. The final price was somewhat higher than the original estimate, but still very reasonable considering the additional labor and materials required. Several neighbors have made favorable comments regarding the work and my wife and I are both pleased, Coconuts will get the first call when such work is needed in the future, you can hire them with confidence.
