WOULD NOT RECOMMEND We spent thousands of dollars on a Culligan system and service, yet our water is yellow and we were told today that Culligan can’t come out to service and test for two weeks. Absolutely unacceptable.

BEWARE I have been a customer since 2017 up until, today, February 28, 2020. I have wrote 2 truthful and scathing reviews for Culligan on their corporate website. Hoping to give notice to corporate that as a customer, I was not happy. Both times, I have been redirected to the manager of the Plant City office. The first conversation with this "manager" almost resulted in cessation of service, due to his disrespectful tone and attitude. However, the problem arose from the initial installation of Culligan equipment. Very shoddy workmanship and poor follow through. I had to finish the install of my Culligan system. That should have been the end. However, I chose to write another review expecting a different result. Same "manager" with a slightly different attitude. Brian, the manager passed me off to John, a manager. This only slightly helped the situation. Paying $90 a month and the system was still screwing up. The water would have an intermittent odor and water samples taken had an oily sheen. The other issue is the service personnel and the service to their equipment. The service I was paying $90 for. I was then shuffled off to "TJ" who is pretty narcissistic about being a veteran. I am a veteran, too. He was the service manager who got belligerent when I told him, his service people were not performing their duties. Moral of the story. I have been maintaining their system, for the last 6 months. No issues. I was contacted today, I was talked over and endured my last case of belligerence. Culligan touts having 80+ years of excellent customer service?? I think most positive reviews are employees trying to keep their jobs. The "management" keeps ******* off their customers. I'll take my business and money, elsewhere.

Overall very satisfied! Purchased a deal through Angie's List that slipped through the cracks somehow and when Culligan was made aware, they immediately remedied the situation and came to my home for the service call. The equipment wasn't Culligan brand but the tech was extremely informative and provided me with options and advice to get my system running properly, even though it's not their equipment and they can't perform the work. Educated me on our water quality. Should I need to replace my water softener, Culligan will be top of my consideration.

No one from Culligan ever contacted me. Angie's List agent contacted them on my behalf and still no response. I ended up being refunded for the transaction.

Lee called and set up time for delivery. Arrived promptly and loaded unit with salt. Prepositioned extra bag of salt near softener as requested. Checked house water sample to make sure water was soft then gave me his business card for any future needs. Would contact this business again if needed.

I have refrained from writing a review because I have tried to work with Culligan directly for 2 years. I have had issues with their service since the installation of our water softener roughly 3 years ago. We had issues in the very beginning with the sales person and we're provided with one year of free Platinum service due to this. I have since had numerous occasions where I have had to call Culligan due to not knowing when they were showing up to service our water softener. I've even work with Brian Kelly, director of operations, to resolve the issues to no avail. Their system is supposed to notify customers the night before service day so that people are aware of when to be home to allow the tech into the garage or wherever the softner may be. On several occasions I was not notified and I have received every excuse in the book. I've even gone so far as to request a phone call the morning of the day that the technician will be arriving and also utilize their calendar to enter each service day into my cell phone so I will know when they will be showing up, frankly not something a customer should have to do. The excuses are the same from anyone you speak to and the general consensus is that they are never going to be perfect and they feel their effectiveness rate is right in-line with expectations. This came straight from Brian Kennedys mouth. Unbelievable to me that in this day and age, a Director would make excuses and exude a flippant and frankly patronizing attitude toward ANY customer. A few neighbors in my community are unhappy as well, but they just don't care as much as I do that they're not getting notified. As an executive previously at Ford Motor Company and now at Coca-Cola North America, I find the customer/ service operations under Brian Kennedy to be in need of serious help and Brian needs a reminder that the customer is always right! This post is to advise others that your concerns, and you will have them, will be overlooked and dismissed.

Angie's list advertised this vender would service water softeners, I have a sears (craftsman) water softener, the service tech stated Culligan does not service craftsman water softeners, the tech left three bags of salt but provided no service, Angie's list should make this vender state in your add that they do not service craftsman products. Since I was involved in false advertising I think my money should be refunded angie

When asked to take it back, the sales lady got furious, unprofessional and said her manager will call back, and within just one day of installation they refuse to take the system back. Even though it clearly states on culligan's website at [*** Link removed ***] that - "If you are dissatisfied with your Culligan product for any reason within 30 days of your purchase, Culligan will remove the product and refund the purchase price." but the manager told that they are dealers of culligan and not their employees (which was another lie, as the sales lady told us that they and all members including installer are employees of culligan) and would not take the product back, even though it's only a day that has passed after buying that product. BEWARE of this company and their lies. I had to pay FIVE !!! times the price of any leading comparable system.
