Do not hire her or her inept team. Highly disappointing. Huge communication barrier. Even though we went through everything that was needed for my special needs dog not once but 3 times they never did what they were supposed to do. Dog ended up getting sick and I had to take the dog to the vet$$$, then Jackie one of her workers, left every freeze dried bag of food open, $98 worth of food now soggy and probably growing bacteria. I had to replace it. Dog threw up when she was watching her as well because they didn't feed her as I told them to. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and I hired them again. Marcela thought she was doing me a favor by bringing in someone else since Jackie was a failure but the other girl ended up losing my real silver spoon ($33) in the garbage disposal which they would not reimburse me for. I forgot to mention I have a camera in my house, when Jackie walked in my house my poor little dog went over to her and Jackie did not even acknowledge the dog and that was how every single visit went. Plus they left the laundry room light on that served no purpose...they just forgot to turn it off. That was every single day. Marcella said the spoon was an accident, that is an excuse in my book, they were very careless and it was clear from looking at the video they could care less about my pets. I ended paying in the long run, vet bill, replace food, replace silver spoon but now have to replace 2 of them since they do not make them anymore, additional electric bill charges for having unnecessary lights on. There are other pet services out there that are more competent. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!

"Since you felt dissatisfied with our care after each one of the four times you hired my services, I decided it was best not to provide you with service anymore; like you said, there are other pet sitting services out there that in your opinion are more competent, so why stick with us if you feel so disappointed? You have a beautiful, happy, and healthy dog. I've been working with animals for 20 yrs, been a Certified Vet Tech for 15 yrs, and run my pet sitting business for 11 yrs. I can assure you that your dog not wanting to eat a meal every 3-4 hours doesn't make her a special needs dog; however, we did our best to feed her as per your instructions. As I suggested, if you are planning to keep offering her +12 varieties of foods and feeding (or force feeding) her 3-4 different types of food every 3-4 hours it would probably be a good idea to discuss with her vet the use of a probiotic to help with her digestion; that might reduce the sporadic soft stool and vomiting. Regarding your silver teaspoon, which you expressly asked us to use to mince one of your cats' wet food; it wasn't lost. It accidentally fall in the sink's garbage disposal while washing your pets' dishes and it got a little bent; it was left clean and dry on top of the kitchen counter together with the rest of the utensils at the end of your last service. When I stopped by to personally return the two copies of your apartment key I also gave you a $35 check for the cost of your spoon so your statement about the value of your spoon not being reimbursed is false. Most of my clients have cameras in their homes and I've never got any complaints about their pets not being paid attention to; on the contrary, they've let me know how pleased they are about the excellent care their pets have received."

Great! We highly recommend Alpha Sitters, Marcela and her helpers. We received updates and pictures of the "kids" while we were away. It's a huge relief knowing they are ok and have experienced and professional help watching over them. I just can't say enough about Alpha Sitter! When we returned home, both cats were calm, and there were 4 pages of notes on what they did, what they ate, how they acted, etc. Wonderful!

Everything was wonderful. Begins with a meet and great where Marcela comes to the house and meets all the pets and pet parents. In the meeting you go over everything, feeding, medication, special instructions, emergency services, etc. Bottom line we trust Marcela with our precious fur kids and that says a lot. She was highly recommended by friends and we have been very happy having peace of mind when we can't be here.

We have a family of two large ridgebacks dogs, two cats and a fish tank. Our Ridgebacks Hana and Hunter are rescue dogs. Hana was badly abused and frightened of everything. Under the circumstances we will not board her or take her out of
her home. Some years ago when we had to be out of town on personal business, we had a close friend whom the dogs loved. She came and stayed at the house for the week. The animals did very well. Our friend is much older now and has been
ill, so calling on her was out of the question. My husband and I haven't been on a vacation in years, but when a opportunity appeared I was at wits end to know what to do. As always when I need reliable help I turn to Angie's List.
There I found Alpha Sitter LLC. I called made the appointment with the owner Marcela De Pablo. Marcela arrived at the appointed time. Hunter liked her right from the start, Hana was held back as usual, but did come up to her before the interview was over, which is very unusual for her. Marcela was extremely professional but also very much at ease. We discussed my concerns regarding leaving the dogs. We talked about having her stay the nights. By the time Marcela was ready to leave I felt very comfortable with her. We went through the paperwork also very complete, no lose ends where there would be questions.
All very clear and understandable. Marcela has a partner Michelle who would be working in shifts with her. All paperwork was signed and Michelle was scheduled to visit the following day to see how the animals would react to her. Again
Michelle arrived right on time. The dogs loved her as well. After discussing it with my husband we
decided to have one visit during the day (Marcela) and six overnights with Michelle. We left on the 13th of Oct. and
arrived home on Oct 20th. All the animals were in beautiful shape when we arrived home. The wonderful thing is, when we arrived home we found a daily notations, of every visit, what was done, how the animals ate, bathroom trips,
etc. I am sure there are a lot of people that feel nobody can take care of their babies as well as they can, but I want to tell you, if not me it was a very close second. Would I use this company again, you bet I will. Will I recommend them to others, without question. I feel for the time and care my animals received the fee was reasonable. It was also great to receive a

We have been using Marcela to watch our cats since January 2012. Three of our cats are elderly and have special needs; two of them need medication twice a day and one needs a special diet and is also on Miralax. We know first hand it's a lot of work to take care of our cats and Marcela does an excellent job in taking care of them. She is quick to respond to any questions for status when we are away and this helps put us at ease. What's really impressive though, is that she does a write up of each and every visit; what time she arrived and left, what tasks she did (food, water, mail, treats, etc), and then notes regarding the visit. It is also nice that she is a certified vet tech. Her rates are very reasonable and we have her stay a bit longer than normal (for an extra charge) so our cats can get some extra TLC.
We have been very pleased with Marcela and it's very apparent that our cats have had very good care while we're gone. We will certainly be using her services again in the future.

I find the owner of Alpha Sitter, llc to be reliable and thorough. I have used her to take care of my cat while we were away on vacation. She has different rates depending on what level of attention you want your pet to have. I found her pricing to be fair and the rate depends on how much time you want her to spend in the house and with your pet. I trust her in my house and to do right by my pet and that is why I would be happy to use her again in the future.
