Garabar Roofing, Windows and Doors

The roof replacement was a quality job. However, I started the process in late April and the work was not completed until the beginning of August. I can understand delays due to weather or building permits but instead of the company communicating with me they ignored my calls or emails. They were also confused the majority of the time as to where to meet to sign papers or sign Change Orders. I would agree to meet them at their office and they would think it was at my house. The only time I got calls was to inquire about payments or Change Orders because they were confused about the billing. I was informed that I could finance the roof with PACE financing but in the end they tried to charge me more because the PACE contract included another contractor who had a very low finance rate. Their explanation was that they would not make a profit. But it was Garabar who told me about PACE financing. When I did get calls it would be around 7am or sometimes as late as 7pm. When I was not getting a response as to when the roof would be completed I had to resort to calling and emailing the owner. When the roof was complete and I went to their office to pay the bill, they were still confused as to the final balance! Poor customer service, poor accounting, and horrible communication. The workers were excellent although I did find at least a dozen nails around the yard during and after the work was complete. From previous roof work and a couple of flat tires I have learned to check the yard thoroughly for nails.

Work was competently performed and within budget. From sales to installation, they were pleasant to work with.

All work was completed as described and close to budget. Managers were responsive. Timeline was a little longer than expected. Gutter and stucco work completed, as well, which saved us from finding additional contractors.

I needed a total roof replacement for the flat roof on my 1931 Spanish Mission home. The hall was showing water damage and self patching wasn't cutting it anymore. I got several quotes and I chose Garabar for 3 reasons: #1 Their quote was the lowest #2 Their warranty on my new roof was 10 years, the other quotes were 7 years or less #3 They used the newest tech, my new roof is sealed with a thick bright white membrane that they use on commercial roofs, the other quotes were for the old tar and asphalt. They took awhile to get started because of permits and other jobs but once they did the crew worked every minute for 3.5 days to completion. They handled the demo well in spite of the difficult access, the other companies acted like that was going to be a really big deal. The roof is even more impressive than we expected and I swear it's paying for itself in A/C savings.

Garabar repaired two leaks and it was a smooth transaction. The amount was reasonable, the work was scheduled promptly and the guys who did the work were very professional and pleasant. Had our roof replaced this summer and couldn't be happier. The workers started early, stayed late and, to me, seemed to finish the entire project much quicker than others in the neighborhood. I chalk that up to the behind the scenes planning as being top notch as well. There was little to no wait between the moisture barrier being installed and tile delivery and install. I've seen other homes wait weeks without tile, not me. A.J and Vanessa were easy to get a hold of and answered all my questions. Very thorough clean-up too which means a lot. Thank you!

Workers were always prompt and mindful of our safety, going out of their way to make sure we knew what was going on at all times. Unbelievable! AJ and the company are the best! He was upfront and honest with us and gave us a competitive price and was also several thousand under the competition. Job started on-time as he stated and with only a couple of hick ups with the building department (which he handled everything on), the job was done in a professional and timely manner and I would and will recommend Garabar to everyone that I know that is looking for a new roof....they really are the best!

The salesman first came out to give us an estimate. He was very professional and timely. His price was very fair. He arranged to have our leak repaired the following week. Their team of men showed up on time, completed the repair in one day and the leak has now been repaired. We were very pleased with this company.

My neighbor had a similar problem with her roof. She highly recommended Garabar to me after utilizing their services. I called them and received a prompt and fair estimate for the work required. They proceeded with an expeditious repair on my roof. I was also given a 3 year warranty on the cricket repair and a 1 year warranty on the gutter lifting. After initial call a representative called me the following day and set up an appointment for Saturday, yes a Saturday. Tom came out looked at the roof, climbed up on the roof, measured and wrote out the contact. Signed and sealed that day. Several days later I was contacted by the painter Alex who requested my paint color as per my HOA agreement. The follow week workers came on on one day and removed all the rotten fascia, hauled it away and returned the following day to replace it. Several days later (weather issues) the painter came out and painted all fascia boards to match and cleaned up leaving no mess on any of the floral arrangements located around the house. After several days I did notice there was an area located in the front above the garage that seemed to be missing some mud on the tiles. After I writing an e-mail asking someone to come out and take a look a repairman came out the next day and redid the area in question to match the rest of the front house tiles.

Not a onetime customer but two! We were delighted with the replacement roof done by Garabar in 2010. The old cement tiles were hauled away and replaced with beautiful barrel tiles that still look great today, 5 years later. Not only was the work completed on time, meticulous care was given to replacing rotted wood and the local inspectors approved work on an ongoing basis with no comment other than to proceed. Garabar?s workers were also friendly and cleaned up debris as work progressed. So, when we needed work for our flat roof, we called Garabar, of course. The estimator was friendly and thorough and recommended that we also paint our house due to the chalky nature of the existing paint. Again, we are totally satisfied. During the paint process, the Garabar worker noted some rotted wood on the soffit and fascia board. A little digging showed wood rot under the tile roof. We were concerned but Garabar replaced the roof under warranty! The painters paid attention to detail and took care to not damage plants on the property. Our home looks great and since the flat roof has been repaired and painted, our Florida room is 10 degrees cooler. We would not hesitate to recommend Garabar or any of their professional staff. Oh, and by the way, my husband asked me to include that he shopped and Garabar provided the best quality and price!

Tom came and inspected the roof and recommended several alternatives.He helped me choose one and provided a fixed price.Work was completed as scheduled and cleanup,was,very good..Excellent repair work

I called Tom and he came out a few hours later. He placed a tarp on the skiilite that was leaking. He took pictures of each step and sent them to me. I do not know many companies that are so on top of their work. I will continue to use this company for all of my rentals and permeant residence. It was a pleasure to work with them.
