BULLFROG CREEK MARINE

Took boat over (for the last time) to have steering replaced. Sent my brother to pick it up and he calls to tell me that there is oil dripping out of the lower unit. I drove down and the lower unit is now cracked around the prop housing and leaking oil. The owner's husband, who does run the place, refuses to acknowledge that they did it. He actually sold me that lower unit 2 years earlier. The boat had sat on the trailer for those 2 years while I redid the gas lines, wiring, new gauges and lights. I had not yet had it on the water as the steering was locked up solid. So his "boys" either cracked the lower unit by dropping it or by over running it to where the pressure produced the crack. Or he sold me a cracked unit without my knowledge. I am far too paranoid about the boat to allow that. Once I did get the motor back and started, I had gas flowing out of the carbs and it wouldn't stay running. Once I learned my lesson and took it to a Certified Suzuki mechanic, I was informed that the old gaskets were put back on the carbs, and we not even tightened to spec.
