Since 1995 Eric and Mindy Peterson have been in the aluminum, screen and hurricane shutter industry. In 2005, they founded The Screen Doctor of Lee County, Inc. to serve customers in the Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero, Bonita Springs and Naples, FL area. The company believes in helping homeowners enjoy their living space by providing products and services that maximize a homeowner’s indoor and outdoor environments.

Description of Work: Replace 3 existing screen doors with new ones, replaced 1 section of screen on top slope of pool enclosure, service screen wall with shutter, installed custom |frame to wall, so it allowing re-screened if the future with having to remove the shutters mountings, and re-screened wall.

Thank you for your review and honest ratings. As you may know, not many competitors of ours in the aluminum and screening industry want to deal with Sliding Screen Doors. They can pose a lot of new issues and it really takes some skill to work with them. We only offer the best building products in our industry so that you will NOT have to make a service call based on the product and / or installation. We feel the Sliding Screen Doors that we custom ordered and installed for you are a superior product that you should have little to no issues with for years to come. Be sure to keep the tracks clear of dirt and debris and lubricate them often with a dry silicone spray. We also found a solution to rescreening your lanai wall without the added cost to you of removing your hurricane shutters that are in the way of the spline groove. We sincerely hope that your new Sliding Screen Doors and Lanai Screens are providing a nice new look and added bug protection for your home. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. Looking back in our computer system, I see that you contacted us on March 9th, 2012. We gave you an estimate over the phone for your work and you awarded the work over the phone. During the "season" in our area, it is very typical to be scheduled out 4 weeks with work. That being said, we completed the work and you paid us at the time of repairs/completion on April 9th, 2012. We have not heard from you since the repairs were completed and would have been happy to address any of your concerns at that time. We are sorry that you felt the price was too much and punctuality was not timely, but usually these items are stated at the time of your initial call or we don't schedule the service. Description of Work: Replaced a screen door on my lanai with a custom screen door that included a pet door for my dogs to use. I got a quote for a door that had a continuous hinge, but when it was installed I noticed that the door had the standard two hinges. When questioned, I was told that the door I ordered should have cost more than they quoted me, so I was still coming out ahead. They offered to add another hinge to the door which I accepted. The salesman who quoted the price and ordered the wrong door did apologize for the mix-up, and replaced a faulty "door closer". I feel like I had to settle for the door I received so the salesman wouldn't get in trouble. The door is fine, and this is the only company I could find that had screen doors with built in doggie doors. In my opinion, an "A" company would have re-ordered the correct door that I was quoted, and replaced the mistaken door for no additional charge. It was my choice not to demand this, but I can only rate them a "C" because they should have done this automatically.

Thank you for the feedback. After reviewing your file, we did in fact install the upgraded door from PCA Products, Inc. and can provide a receipt to you for your records if you would like. However, [member's name removed], our salesman at the time, did not order the door with the full components package. It is stated in your file that on June 2, 2014 you chose not to go with the upgraded hardware when awarding the work with Carmen over the phone. Your signed contract states "standard door hardware" (not the upgraded components package). We apologize for the miscommunication between you and [member's name removed], but we ordered what was agreed and signed upon. In your file we noted that when you learned there would be no piano-style hinge, you wanted to speak with [member's name removed]. I personally spoke to you and stated that we normally do not order the doors this way and that we would have to take the door down and custom cut it to size to accommodate for the U-channel and piano hinge hardware. [member's name removed]called you on June 17, 2014 and he stated in the file that you requested one (1) additional hinge to be put on the door and would be happy with this. On June 18th, 2014, Freddie, our Operations Manager, came and installed the additional hinge. You stated at the time of the work that is all you wanted and it looked great. Not sure what happed with the closure pump, as it may have been faulty and not closing all the way. However, Steve, our Service Manager, came out on June 19, 2014 and replaced the closure pump. Again, our apologies for the miscommunication with the components package between you and [member's name removed] We have explained to our salesmen that these upgraded doors do better with the upgraded hardware. We hope you feel we did everything in our power in a timely manner to resolve the issues. Customer service is our number one priority. Description of Work: The Screen Doctor did and outstanding job. New screen door, and No SEE-UM screen in the back lanai. The no SEE-UM screen works like a charm.. no bugs everyday to sweep up since the screen was installed in the lanai. My front screen door is the best. Great quality and works like a charm. I have a slide away front door screen that pulls back into its own frame, custom built by Screen Doctor, when it's retracted no unsightly screen door and when in place it fits the door like a glove and keeps the bugs out. These people were top notch.

Description of Work: Excelent...Until my lanai leaked. They came out and applied a bead of sealent to stop the leak..This was not the way to handle the leak. We leaked again. I had a roofing expert from my condo check the problem. He said flashing was not applied where the lanai butted up to the house. I could not get them to do it right, so I paid a roofing company $500 to apply the flashing. I now feel confident that the leak is fixed.

Description of Work: Screen Doctor did a complete overhaul of our 25-year old pool cage -- replaced all screening with no-seeum-grade material, replaced every bolt and screw in the cage, refinished the lower run of the frame to eliminate corrosion and improve appearance, and installed new cable tiedowns to further secure the screen. The work was done professionally and we have been quite happy with the results. Recommended.
