Precision Overhead Garage Door

It went very well. The technician John, was A-1. He was very proficient, knowledgeable, and courteous.

I was scheduled for a 10 to 12 time frame. Ryan called a few minutes after 10 and arrived soon after that. He looked over the door and the broken parts carefully. We discussed the different options and prices for those options and I selected those that I wanted. Ryan found me periodically to let me know about his progress and informed me when things were taking longer than the original time estimate. When he was finished, he talked me through using the new opener, remote, and the wall switches. He also made sure I knew how to change the light in the opener. As mentioned above, Ryan was completely professional, knowledgeable, and did not try to sell me something that I didn't want. If I ever have garage door problems again, I will contact Precision and hope Ryan is the technician sent.

How'd it go? Great. Simple as that. Brian called to say he was on his way, and showed up precisely on time. He examined the garage for the problem(s) and gave me an estimate. The price was reasonable, and he got right to work. He was extremely pleasant and the work was completed in about an hour or so. I was pleased that it all went so smoothly, as there's nothing worse than unreliable contractors. Precision Overhead Garage Door Service is definitely a well-run company that I will highly recommend to others. By the way, this is my second service with them. The first time years ago went just as easy as it was this time! A+ in my opinion!

We had a broken cable on our garage door. Called for service and technician Bob was prompt and polite. He then began informing us of all the other work that would need to be done on our door. At one point, he lifted the door several inches and it slammed back down. (of course it's slammed down. The cable was broken). I was informed that the door had "1920s technology." He refused to repair the cable without other work being done, as he would just have to "be back to fix it again next month." I felt that I was being up-charged; and I paid their service fee ( discounted with Angie's List membership).; looked for other reviews of the company; and obtained two other estimates. Rather than being charged over $600 or $800, it was confirmed that the door was safe and the cable could be repaired without any problem. I saved several hundred dollars and was glad that two other independent companies provided me with similar quotes and information. I can assume this was not everyone's experience with Precision, based on Angie List Reviews; and I will let you know if the door needs to be repaired again in a month (as the Precision Tech suggested).

There were no troubles with scheduling. The technician completed a minor tune up on the garage door. He then showed me why the door would not stay up in certain positions. I had him complete the repairs which included new springs, cables, and rollers. They performed the service and they did it very well. However, I think that if I had checked prices with other service providers, I would have saved some money.

Technician (Ryan) arrived on time, was neat, and answered all questions and explained everything-very impressed.

Blake called and showed up on time and promptly did all the work needing to be done. He was courteous and answered all my questions. I was delighted to find the gasket he put on was of such a higher quality than anything found at Home Depot. I highly recommend this company.

My initial call was returned promptly. The contact person was friendly and professional. I was given a 2 hour time window on our scheduled appointment day. They called me 15 minutes before arrival and were here at 8:00 AM promptly. The crew was very thorough and completed installation in short order. I was informed of a problem with the new door after old door had been removed. One glass window pane had a crack in it which I probably would not have noticed right away. They called the problem into the office to order a new one and went ahead and installed the damaged door for us. Within a week I received a call back that the replacement door had arrived and another installation date was scheduled 2 days later. Again the crew was early and efficient. The door is of great quality, looks great, and works like a dream. This is a top notch company. I highly recommend them!

After my original review of Precision overhead garage door co. dated 081614 I received a call from Eric Taylor GM for said company. Mr. Taylor wanted to know the reasons for my poor review. After listening to my explanation, Mr. Taylor requested that I allow one of his technicians to come out to my home to see first hand the issues I had with the service rep, who originally came to my home on 081514. On 082114 John arrived at my house promptly at 8:00 am and listened to my issues of the first encounter with Precision. After hearing my concerns and in an effort to regain my trust and future business, John offered to replace the rollers on the door, as well as the springs , door bracket, add a surge protector , rewired the door opener using the wiring installed in the house when built. I asked John what he and Precision wanted in return and was assured, "nothing at all". John did the work as stated. As if, all that was done, wasn't enough , John also rewired my other garage door which had nothing to do with my original complaint. If you've taken the time to read this review, you may be saying to yourself, didn't they just buy a favorable review from me? At $700.00 plus, I'd say they just signed on a new steady customer and advocate for their company. No one has ever gone to such extremes to gain my business. the installer was very professional and did a wonderful job

That turned out very well. I did have to pay for some other maintenance issues that need to be taken care of. They also added 2 new garage door openers. One technician came out and he even came out on a Sunday and I appreciated that. I felt that he did a very good job and he was efficient; it took him about an hour and a half.

Mike was very professional. He called to let me know he was running a little behind which wasn't a problem. He was very honest in his assessment of our garage doors and though he told me about the company's service packages, he wasn't pushy. I would use this company again

Eric was extremely professional courteous and knowledgable. My garage door has never worked so well. He called to tell me he was on the way showed up early, diagnosed the problems immediately, fixed, tested to ensure the work he performed was perfect. Explained my system and what I would have to do in the future to ensure the door functions without issues. Highly recommend PRECISION OVERHEAD DOOR exceeded my expectations with quality work. Thank you we will use your services for all of our needs, hopefully I can specifically request Eric.

Bill called before arriving at the early end of my scheduled time-block. He assessed my garage door, explained what was going on with it to me, and showed me each part that needed to be replaced. He was very polite and professional, and got the job done quickly. It seems to operate much better now.

Very easy from the original quote to getting the door installed. Guy that came out for the quote walked me through all that needed to be done, recommended different doors and options, and also negotiated on price (always ask for a discount!). Guy that installed the door was on time, got the job done well and cleaned up completely afterwards. Overall very good experience

The remotes don’t seem to work like they should. You can open the door and/or close the door and it will reopen on its own. It’s not quite working correctly and still needs some fine tuning.

I did an online chat with Kaitlyn on Monday who set the appointment for someone to come out on Wed. from 6-8 p.m. At the time, we weren't sure if we needed to completely replace the door and all components or just have service on the components we had as the door would not open and seemed to have an issue at the time with the railings. Mike Boyle called me on Wed. at around 5:30 p.m. to let me know he would arrive in about 30 minutes. He was at our house just after 6 p.m. and consulted with us about what we hoped to achieve since our door/components are 20 years old. Once he explained all our options to us with no pressure at all, we were able to make the decision to simply replace the components i.e. rollers, broken spring (which we hadn't even noticed until he pointed it out), warped shaft and bearings and then try to get another 5-7 years out of our existing door as for its age, Mike remarked it was still in incredibly good shape. He then went about working on the job and was such a professional from the time he arrived until the time he left nearly 3 hours after arriving. The door now works like a charm and seems much quieter with new rollers and lubrication. I would definitely recommend Precision to anyone looking to have work done on their garage door.

Technician Mike Boyle provided excellent service. He called ahead, arrived on time, answered all our questions and solved an annoying problem with our garage door opener in addition to servicing the overhead garage door. He is certainly an asset to their company!

After speaking with the General Manager about a concern on the work requested he bent over backwards to make me a 110% satisfied customer. They went above and beyond all my expectations and I now recommend Precision to all my friends and family.

Contacted Precision at 5pm on a weekday regarding a hung garage door. Tech was onsite in 90 minutes. Quickly diagnosed problem and offered multiple levels of solutions (e.g. just unhang door, basic fix, or complete solution). We decided to go for the complete solution so we didn't have to worry about it in the future. Tech was very professional. Only negative was the cost, as I thought it was quite high. However, the convenience of having everything taken care of that night was worth the cost.

They did a good job. It used to leak, and now it doesn't! We were pretty happy with the service.
