Keyed In LLC

The technician had to complete the work in (2) separate visits because of timing. However, I had the same technician both times, which was great for consistency. He was very quick and changed out 8 interior doorknobs (5 the first time, and 3 the 2nd time), in very quick succession. The work was first rate, and he cleaned up the majority of the mess before leaving. I would recommend KeyedIn LLC. I used (2) of their $75 dollar coupons, which saved me about $50 off the entire bill.

I called to arrange re-keying my home after settlement. The locksmith did arrive late due to traffic and gave me the billing information. I paid and he went to work. It took a lot of time but he was extremely patient and tidy.

Called for service. Problem: key would not go in on front door lock. Technician arrived and inspected lock. First he said a pin of the lock was blocking the keyhole. He could take apart the lock and try to fix it. Then he gets on the phone, and in the conversation it comes up that the lock and quot;is probably old.and quot; I said it is 9 years old (as new as the house), so then he changes his tune and says the lock is old. He may be able to fix but with no guarantees, and suggests getting a new one. I can see this coming a mile away but I agree to get a new lock. Does he have one? Of course. Does it match what is there now? He says it does. Once he is done, I noticed the lock does not match the bigger outline of plate of the old outside lock so it looks terrible. I ask him if he can fix the old plate and says he will try. It works, although it definitely looks odd. I gave him a check. I had already observed to him that I had paid for the service call via Angie's List and I was getting charged for a visit - again (plus the lock, etc.). His explanation was not too good. As I give him the check, I ask for the receipt which he e-mails. Once I get it, he begins to walk out the door saying and quot;I have something else I need you to fill in.and quot; I was going to ask for the old lock back, but he disappeared without returning. Conclusion: not a good experience.

Very well. The technician showed up when he said he would and performed the service and also helped with an ongoing problem with the door installation.

I just bought a house and wanted to change the locks, Keyed In was prompt and thorough in his work, even fixed the squeaky door hinge! Great job!

Great! UPDATE: I just updated my rating to downgrade it a bit. I think the ratings are a little bit inflated (I acknowledget that I was part of the reason for that). They have you fill out an Angie's List evaluation - right in front of them. They hand you a paper with the Angie's list evaluation form on it, and you fill it out WHILE THEY ARE STARING AT YOU AND SMILING. This is why I'm downgrading the professionalism rating and my overall grade. I mean, yes, I filled out the evalulation myself, no one forced me to give them almost all As. However, I am a weak person and feel extremely bad giving someone poor ratings right in front of him. The employee was very nice - he came late however (30 minutes, and I had to call them to get the update - they didn't tell me they were running late), and it took him 2 hours to replace a door knob. The rekeying of another lock and installation of the peephole took no time. However, the doorknob replacement took forever. In general, they were OK. May or may not use them again.,

Provider arrived on time, performed scheduled maintenance and replaced rollers on garage door. Provider was very professional and courteous.

Truthfully, I don't remember the exact date of service or the specific cost to me. It was sometime this past spring. The lock does what it is supposed to do, but I can't help feeling that the whole situation was a form of and quot;bait and switch.and quot; Yes, I could use my discounted $19 coupon for my service fee, but when it came to MY screen door, no other bonus applied. I understand that every door is not the same and that some extra materials may be needed. But, for what I paid the locksmith, maybe I should have purchased a new door or changed locksmiths, but I was going out of town and just didn't have the time for all of that. The locksmith reminded me of the proverbial and quot;used car salesmanand quot; because he kept calling the office to see what kinds of and quot;discountsand quot; I could get. You, all, know how that ended. But, yes, I have a new lock on my screen door. Yes, I feel I paid too much for it. But, with a resounding NO, I will never use this company again!

They called because they could come early. They were polite and very informative. They offered to look at the other garage door. They also gave me a quote to replace the motor.

Vendor was very responsive to initial phone call, and provided same day service after initial contact. After completion of the initial service call, I followed up with the provider as I was not pleased with the locks that were initially installed. The vendor and I had a discrepancy over what qualified as a and quot;high security lockand quot; which I requested, though neglected to specify a type by name. I had expected to have locks installed that met an industry standard, but received a generic version instead. As a means to recitfy the situation I posted a negative review, and sought resolution from the vendor. Again, the vendor was very responsive to my communication, and immediately worked to find a solution amenable to both parties. We were able to come to an understanding in a short period of time, and a follow up appointment was scheduled, during which the vendor returned and installed a name brand high security lock. The locksmith installed requested hardware quickly and professionally. I have edited and amended my initial review to reflect the professionalism and flexibility the vendor offered in correcting our discrepancy. Throughout the entire exchange, the vendor was responsive and respectful of our expectations. In the end, we are satisfied with the result. I would recommend to fully and explicitly discuss what hardware will be installed with the vendor before work commences. However, I would not hesitate to recommend Keyed In LLC to anybody looking for a locksmith, due to their punctuality, professionalism, and dedication to ensuring a customer is satisfied with their work.

Preordered custom lockset, tech arrived on time and called 30 minutes before, was in and out quickly while doing a very nice job.

Same-day response without fee! Rekeyed four cylinders and, because he was really nice, repaired part of my door latch for free. Their original estimate was higher, but the technician worked with me to figure out what I absolutely needed and what I could do without, and thereafter was able to negotiate to get into my budget. I would use them again.

Shay came early within the appointment window, fulfilled an estimate and fulfilled the job request.

It was fine. Technicians were courteous and efficient.

This was a small job but one you might want to take care of before it grows larger. I knew my garage door was experiencing difficulty opening and shutting. It labored and made an unpleasant noise during this process. By installing new rollers, it now opens and closes more smoothly and with very little sound. My anxiety, well founded or no, of having a door that would not completely open or close, due to its labored movement, is no longer there. As I said, this was a small job, but I like to take care of little matters before they grow.

Shay was on time, very courteous, friendly and enjoyable to have in the house. He also explained everything very well.

In response to my request, technician said the company would send me information on types of new garage doors (and prices) that company sells. The company never did so.

We called Keyed In and they were able to come and replace our lock on the same day. They provided us a two hour window and called before they arrived. They were on time and everything went smoothly. They were even able to knock $25 bucks off the total cost b/c we were Angie's list members. The only thing I wish they were able to do was give us an estimate up front before they arrived, but it ended up working out anyway.

Overall the service was great. They provided me with a two hour window during which they would come. They called in advance and ended up coming early. The technician was professional, kind and patient with the chaos in my house. They came after 5 so that we did not have to miss work and did not charge extra for that. He did a great job and worked very quickly. I had bought a coupon on Angie's List, plus he gave us an extra 10% off just because. We would definitely use this company again.
