Excellent professional service in every way! He was very careful to leave everything in the house as clean or cleaner than before he started. He really did a thorough job of cleaning all nooks and crannies in the wood stove and chimney pipes and cap, and leaving everything tightly connected in their proper place after cleaning (something other chimney sweeps have not always done for us). Greg was terrific!  He responded quickly to my first inquiry call. Gave me an estimate on the phone. Arrived promptly as scheduled, pulled out fireplace insert, cleaned and inspected both insert and regular fire places very quickly.  Extremely clean.
His pricing was 50 to 60% less than the other two estimates I received from other companies.  The final cost was exactly what he estimated...no surprises.
I selected Affordable based on their rating with Angie's List.  I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this company and will use him in the future.

Greg was very responsive to my initial phone call,  was prompt to show up,  looked at my fire place and gave me his honest opinion of if it needed cleaning (he said it did,  and I have no doubt it did!).  what I actually really appreciated (outside of the cleanliness/expediencey/ and honesty from him),  was that he said right up front "I would recommend you put a chimney cap on the chimney-  I can do it for XX amount,  or they sell them at home depot for about $20 less-  Either way,  I would make sure that is taken care of so that you don't get raccoons in your chimney."  I appreciate honest and straightforward individuals who let you know what needs to be done and the price options.  It made sense for me to have him put one on when he was up on the chimney.  Good service,  honest answers,  and a quick response.  "A" in my book.

Greg was amazing! I moved here a while back and I had no clue how long it had been since my Chimney had been swept. Greg was able to clean my chimney within 24 hours of calling him. Greg is also a Denver Fireman for his main job so having his experience and knowledge was amazing. He has been cleaning chimney sweeps for 14 years and you can really tell! Everything was clean, and he made sure the job was done properly without rushing. We may be selling out condo within the next year and I will for sure be calling him when we sell!

I recently bought this house and had no idea when it had been cleaned last and if it was safe. Greg cleaned the chimney without any mess and told me how often I should have it cleaned based on how often I use it. He also told me that it was in good working condition and safe to use. He also help unclog one of my gutters that had supposedly been recently cleaned. I have a 2 story house and no way to get up there. He told me to contact the gutter company which I did and they sent someone out to re-clean all the gutters and refunded my money! Thank you Greg!

He was very professional.  The last guy that I hired locally was not, so it was nice to have a change.  We had some weather issues so we had to cancel a couple of times and yet Greg stuck with the rescheduling.  I am recommending him to my friends.

Greg was great, he helped me move my heavy wood burning stove, installed a new fireplace door, and cleaned my chimney.  He came on time and did a great job.  My fireplace looks 10 times better than it did before

he did a great job, but I've never had a sweep come into my home that had a vac. that kept the soot in the vacuum.
I have a fine soot all over the room. blinds, shelves, desk, floors, pictures, everything has a coating of soot on it.
Shop vac's do not work for this application, but these contractor will not invest in a hepavac.
My fault for not asking up front. $110.00 for less than 30 minutes of work would tell me the contractor makes enough profit to purchase proper equipment. Why do they have to be told ?
I'll keep looking for someone that cares enough to have the right equipment.
I would use this provider again, but I will find out if the vacuum has been upgraded or I'll keep looking for someone else.

We've had Greg at Affordable Chimney Sweep clean our fireplace the last 2 years.  He is professional and honest.
This year he said there was more build-up and the flu needs repair.  He doesn't do repair as some chimney sweeps are not ethical about this and recommend repair when not needed. 
He does a good job and we'd highly recommend him.
