Corky's Pest Control

We have them come out every 2 months. We have an agreement with them. We've used them for years. We've had no problems with them. They are actually really good. They call us ahead of time to tell us when they'll be here.

Its great. I have a service with them. They are out here every 6 weeks. We have a verbal agreement with them.

I've had them for years and I like them. They have handsome new boys now. I don't like it when they put the stuff on the ground instead of spraying when it rains. It doesn't do as well with spiders and nests. They use the organics because we have cats and rabbits in the yard.

We have had them for about 14 years. I think their price is comparable to everybody else. They do come every six weeks. It used to be easier. They used to send us a note that says they were coming. Now because we do not have a computer, they show up whenever they want. So, that is kind of irritating not knowing when they are supposed to come. As long as they come out and spray, I do not care. They actually leave a bill so we know they came.

We've been using them for years. We have a regular contract with them. They give a date but they don't really give the time.

They come every month or every couple of months. A friend of mine was satisfied with them and so I signed up with them. I think he has been there 3 times at the most. I cant tell too much because I have not been able to check. The man comes out and sprays and leaves.

It was fine, we now have a routine contract with them now. We were pleased. We are satisfied with what they do. They come 4 times a year.

The spraying and technicians are fine. They are always great, but the front office that handles scheduling, their system, and all that are horrible. That is the biggest issue I have with them. It has been on going, but all is well. It is getting coordinated. I am on a quarterly schedule so they are supposed to come out a certain time every three months in a certain day between certain times. They not got that right yet. They send them out on different days when I am not going to be home and then, I have to call them. Even with this last appointment, they were going to have them come out in a wrong day again and then, I had to call them back. They did not return my call. I got into them with their office scheduler. I told them that this is the last straw, and I have spent too much time in pest control, and if they are not going to get the next one right, I would drop them as a provider. In terms of the company itself, I would rate them a D. For the technician who is always nice and considerate, I would give him an A rating. The price is fine. They are competitive. The company cannot get anything right as far as the timing, but the technician is always here when he is supposed to be here once he gets the correct order from them. I would not refer them. They could improve their office like the administrative end, scheduling, computer system, and front office staff. Those are the biggest issues. They just very unorganized.

It was great. They do it every six weeks. We have used them for years. We are very happy with them.

I have also recommended them to my clients for ants and rats. They are so great.

They came out to do the initial treatment and began the process. At the end of the treatment, the technician said the treatment would be unsuccessful because i didn't empty out my closets. I was confused because no one ever told me there was a special preparation for the treatment. I told the technician no one ever informed me. He called his supervisor to find out why no one informed me and they said if the treatment is scheduled thru Angie's List, no preparation information is provided to the customer. i told them though that I had scheduled OUTSIDE of Angie's List and call them on my on. In the end he said he would reschedule and come out and do the work again once I've emptied the closets. When rescheduling, i told them to call me at least 30 minutes before hand because i had other service providers at the house at the time. They never called me, never knocked on the door or rang the door bell, just left a note on my front porch saying they couldn't do the work because there were people inside the home. Mind you the house was totally vacant except the two painters who would have been asked to leave if they had showed up. I was billed $178 for the initial ADMITTEDLY UNSUCCESSFUL treatment and sent ANOTHER bill for $178 after their failed attempt at the second appointment. The actual technician that came out was trying the help as much as he could and was very nice. It was the COMPANY that was wrong.

We had problems with those tiny ants. Couldn't get rid of them no matter how many times I sprayed. Time to call in the professionals. I was in the middle of a kitchen remodel which allowed the to spray behind where the cabinets were going in. Within 2 days, the ants were back. I called them and they came back with another spray and IT WORKED. No charge for the second visit. I was happy.

They came out to do the inspection through the deal we purchased. They came out a second time to do more inspecting and gave us an estimate for the repairs they suggested. There was also a miscommunication about the schedule date for the second appointment. Even though we had e-mails and conversations stating one date, they had listed another date on their scheduling books. I took off work to accommodate the appointment they missed. When they came the second time, the estimate was a bit more than other companies. They also did a re-inspection, which is not what we wanted. We wanted a new inspection, as if they had never come out before. There was a lot of extra work and headache because they did not listen to us.

The Corky's Pest Control inspector arrived late. Although his inspection was thorough, I contracted another company for a second opinion. Corky's Pest Control missed many areas of dry wood termite infestation, and did not detect an important plumbing leak that had caused wood rot. I paid the $125 inspection fee and obtained a signed receipt. Corky's recommended many treatment options including fumigation, heat, borate, and local measures. Three days passed before I received the termite inspection report and treatment proposal. All recommendations were significantly more expensive than their competition. Today, I received "no-reply" email statement from Corky's Pest Control in the amount of $125 for the termite inspection. I had to scan their receipt, forwarding an email via the Angie's List portal, to remind them that I had already paid Corky's Pest Control is a poorly organized company.

Corky's showed up early the first day they were supposed to spray due to a mixup at the office. Their customer service was excellent. They apologized for the mixup and issued a discount, without us asking for one, and worked us in two days later. They showed up on time the second day and were very professional. We saw one silverfish two days later but none after that.

The service was great but I had a devil of a time getting the appointment set up because the original customer service person at Corky's in San Marcos, CA had never heard of a special deal from Angie's. Finally had to call Angie's list to get this situation corrected.

We have a rat infestation in the basement of our 2,000 square foot house. We need to get the rats removed, stop them from getting in in the future, and clean up any mess they've made. I called this company and they were very nice and explained that the cost for traps for rats would be a total of $286. The problem is that the price they quote you (which is very reasonable) is only for setting traps--not for cleaning up the existing mess or preventing rats from getting into your home in future. While they do not promise that the $286 covers clean up and sealing entry ways of rats, they also do not notify you over the phone that the actual full cost to get rid of your rat problem will be more than 26 times the $286 price (more on that later). I was able to scheduled service for the next morning, and a very polite gentleman came to our home on time and looked at the rat droppings, and inspected areas that rats are apparently getting into our house. He reiterated the $286 price. We wanted to clarify that the $286 price included cleaning up the current droppings, etc. and preventing rats from getting into the house in the future. He said that the price did not include such. We said that of course we could not agree to use their service until they quoted us a full price for the job--trapping the rats, cleaning up existing mess, preventing rats from getting in in the future. The nice man seemed a bit taken aback by our request for the full quote. Nevertheless, he contacted his company and got back to us with a quote of more than $8,000, which is more than 26 times the price you hear on the phone from the company. The price quoted included several thousand dollars for clean-up and several thousand dollars for removing and reinstalling installation. Needless to say, we declined their service.

I have had them since 2006. The bugs are gone. They come out on a routine. I have them on a routine thing, like 4 times a year. Back when I first talked to them they were doing the house next door and I said, 'Hey don't chase all those bugs over here, I have got enough of my own' He came over and looked at it. At the time it was $59 for a visit, four times a year. They do a good job but if I quit them and then hire them back again, the price would probably be twice that much. I am grandfathered in, I don't know the price so I keep it going. It is grandfathered in, anybody else...they want to keep you as a customer. They come out and spray for different things, at different times of the year, fruit trees, ants and bugs. I have not had any ant problems in the house or any other problems and infestation of things since they've been spraying. The guy is pretty friendly. I have know him for a long time now and he just comes over, goes out in the back yard and does his thing. I will use them until they tell me there is no more bugs in the world.

Came on time, was friendly, satisfied w/ work.

Haven't seem any ants inside since, have really noticed them as much outside either. Was really surprised it worked so well.

They got rid of the ants, but now THEY are the Pest. They call me every week to sell more service. I stopped answering my phone.

We had the 2 services 14 days apart. The gentlemen that sprayed was on time and very professional. You have to leave and stay out of your house for 3-4 Hours. After the first treatment we noticed some improvement and hoped that the second visit would resolve the problem completely. Even after the 2nd time the dogs were still scratching and we could visibly see the fleas on them. Unfortunately my wife gets bitten by the fleas. We waited about a week after 2nd treatment to call their office and ask what could be done and what was the guarantee on the process. They let me know that to get rid of the fleas completely I should sign up for their every 60 day service at $89 a visit for a year. After declining their offer, I asked to speak to someone else. I was transferred to Alissa who was the decision maker and agreed to come out a 3rd time and spray. On Oct 30 they sprayed and the situation seems to be completely resolved. This young lady was professional as well and I would recommend Corky's and would use them in the future.

They arrived on time which is always nice. He accessed the situation and told us it had been a long while since he had seen a ant problem this bad. My husband waited around outside while they sprayed the inside then he locked up the house and they finished up spraying on the outside. We came back several hours later. They told us that it may be a while till the ants would be visible gone but we noticed a difference right away. We were very pleased. thank you we were desperate.

Great pest control company. I have a contract with them. Prices are fair and reasonable. I have no issues with any bugs. Louis CP 70 is a great, polite and thorough technician.
