I emailed Kevin Johnson Friday because he and his crew had done a fine job last Dec removing a huge dead Monterey pine in my mother's backyard in a similarly challenging location. The dead pine was in a corner, very close to a utility pole, and with branches overhanging 4 yards; they took it down to the ground without damaging anything and left the yard looking better than it had in years. Mr. Johnson emailed me back Friday, called Monday and came out before noon to give me an estimate, and by mid-afternoon he and his well-equipped crew had taken both trees down to the ground without damaging the picket fence they were leaning over and done such a thorough clean-up job the only signs of the work done are the (ground-level) stumps. The crew also removed an oak branch from a smaller tree that was overhanging the phone line and a dead yucca next to the gas meter that was so close to the house the trunk was touching the roof, without leaving any traces other than a stump and a stub. Highly recommended, couldn't be happier -- I look forward to using Johnson's Tree Service the next time we're ready to have some tree work done.

Both my wife and I feel that Johnson's Tree Care generally did a good job. They trimmed a large eucalyptus tree along with several other trees and removed a number of smaller ones. We did have some problems with the work that was mentioned in my original review. When the owner, Kevin Johnson, read our review he was nice enough to give us a call and offered to personally come out to our house to review the situation and fix some of the problems. I thought that was very nice of him and his offer was very much appreciated. -He was kind enough to refund the money. We were overcharged when we paid our bill with a credit card. He did a very long and complete power washing of the stains that were left on our driveway by their broken down wood chipper. He completely removed one of our three stumps but there was no removal or treatment of the other two.

They were on-time, pleasant and efficient

Kevin and his crew of four arrived promptly at 8:30 AM. Cut down the trees while at the same time grinding them in their grinding machine, which was blowing the saw dust into a connected truck. His crew was very careful to not damage the other plants in our garden. After cutting the trees they proceeded to finely grind the stumps, mixing them into the soil and smoothing the area. They left everything very clean and, except for the fact that the trees were not there anymore, it looked like nobody had been working there! We are very happy with Kevin's work and professionalism. We'll certainly call him next time.

The folks arrived early, went to work promptly, even did some additional trimming that we had, cleaned up spick and span, and were done well before they were even scheduled to arrive. Very polite service - fantastic overall! Would hire again - we have a few other trees that might need to be done in the future.

Kevin was responsive, friendly, and punctual. He identified my trees, advised me of local ordinances re: tree service, provided a reasonable estimate, and he and his guys came sooner than expected and did a great job! They cleaned up so well you could barely tell they were there. I definitely recommend Kevin and his crew!

First person I spoke with referred me to a second person who scheduled a visit to establish an estimate, they never showed up for the appointment.

Very good. The appointment was quicker than expected. They were fast and cleaned it up after themselves. Very good communication with Kevin, the owner.

Very well. Kevin brought a crew of six men who within two hours trimmed & shaped the tree. Then cleaned up my property very well. Kevin kept me involved in the project as it went along so we were on the same page at the end. His estimate was in the ballpark. I had one lower estimate and two higher. His was right at my target cost. I will definitely hire him again when I need tree service. He called me to assure me that he would be at my site and he was there on time. Also he is very down to earth and very easy to talk with. Hire him and you will not be disappointed .

He was responsive and knowledgeable. Because of a cancellation, they were able to schedule to complete the job within a few days. The crew were fast, professional and cleaned up after removing two large trees and a small tree (including the stumps) and trimming another large tree. I will use them again for future work on our trees.

Started on time and was done before 2PM. trees removed and cut into sections so Green Waste pickup can clear them out. New trees planted with berm to hold water. Recommended bags on Amazon to hold water and slow soak roots, so watering only needs to be done 2x/week rather than daily to get 40 gallons/tree/week. One of the trees removed was a thick palm with all house utilities around it, and partly overlapping sidewalk. Removed safely without bothering utilities.

Kevin was on time and very professional. Completed work exactly as discussed. I would definitely hire again. Price was very competitive and I am very happy we chose Johnson Tree Care.

Johnson's Tree Care was a pleasure to work with from getting a quote to the day the work was performed. The job was well done and they were neat and tidy with cleanup. We couldn't be happier with the service they did on our tree. We would highly recommend this company!

Everything went perfectly. For the quote, Kevin Johnson and one of his workers stopped by at the time specified and he provided a verbal quote on the spot and then followed up with a formal written proposal. His was by far the best quote I had received. When you work with Johnson's Tree Care, you are working with a properly insured business so that really limits your own risk. Upon my request, Kevin had someone in his office send me proof of their general liability and workman's compensation insurance so that we didn't have to worry about taking on risk ourselves. On the day of service, the Kevin Johnson and two of his workers arrived when they had promised and all went great. We plan to call on Johnson Tree Care again next year for this tall palm tree and other good-sized trees.

Went well. Team showed up on time, went right to work, finished and cleaned up same day. Had painting crew at house at same time, but all went smoothly.

The job was completed swiftly by a crew. Mr. Johnson was also onsite to supervise.

I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to work with Johnson's Tree Care - I am so pleased with the job they did with my tree. I've gotten several quotes for maintaining this tree, but Johnson's was the first to correctly identify what kind of tree we even had. So, while his quote wasn't the cheapest, I decided to work with him and I'm so glad I did. The crew showed up on time and one of them met with me to go over the scope of work. He asked me all the right questions to make sure we were 100% on the same page and we were both confident about what the end result was going to be. They also advised me on how to protect any plants that might get hurt from falling branches and made sure everything was 'right' before beginning. They finished the job quickly and they did an absolute PERFECT job (and I am extremely picky). This large tree was significantly reduced and thinned evenly, so that from every angle it looks even and clean. I can also tell that it will grow back nicely - ensuring that we will be able to enjoy our tree for a few years without needing another trim. I have absolutely no reservations recommending them!

Proceeded exactly as promised. Was able to negotiate scope of work to accommodate our budget. Cleanup was outstanding. Supervisor (Robert) made sure crew understood scope at outset and checked in again as job neared completion to be sure we were satisfied. The crew actually exceeded our expectations, removing an old rope swing at my request and cleaning up fallen leaves which we hadn’t yet raked.

Robert came out to take a look at our property and gave recommendations on how tree could be cut, thinned, skirted, and shaped. He gave a very competitive estimate for a full day's work. The work was performed about a week later. The crew was punctual and friendly. When they were done, our backyard looked like it had doubled in size! They took extra care with our front yard orange tree to keep it round and balanced. Overall a great experience.
