"We have worked with Art Carlin of Absolute Water for over a decade. This past week, we had our water system serviced by him. Art readily accommodated us with our appointment, and arrived right on time. Our system includes a water softener, as well as a reverse-osmosis water purification system – both of which Art had previously recommended to us and installed. The units have served our needs very well, over the years. Art checked our water pressure, tested the chemistry of our water at both sites, and changed filters as needed. He always explains what he needs to do and why, as well as providing a wealth of information on water filtration and science. He knows his stuff! His bill for his services was very reasonable, considering his time, expertise, and parts replaced. Art has proven himself time and again to be professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and a remarkable problem-solver. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any family member or friend. Such quality of workmanship is rare, indeed."

Diamond House has been in business since 2004. We are licensed and insured through the California State license Board. Rest assured we have the skills to get the job done right.
"We used Diamond House for an insurance claim after back-up sewage damaged our home to a tune of about $30,000 (which included sub contacting for restoration services, hydro-jetting, etc). They have some skilled, friendly workers (plumbing, sheetrock), however, I am still finishing their "completed" work and figuring out how to fix some of the remodel without spending several more thousands of dollars. When I tried to repeatedly raise concerns during the reconstruction, the response was usually "it's better than what you had". Finally, I signed the "Satisfaction of Completion" realizing that, after multiple attempts, they were unable or unwilling to complete the project. I was tired of being their "quality control". I wrote them a multiple page letter with details of the poor quality which they never acknowledged (until I sent it a second time with a cc to my insurance adjuster) in which they acknowledged that it had been received. No apology, acknowledgment their inconsistencies or any desire to make it right.....which is interesting considering the following "belief" statement from their website: We believe in doing what's right, not what's easy We believe that your time is valuable We believe in integrity and always doing what we say We believe you deserve the best work possible We believe relationships are more important than profit We believe low quality products are never a good idea We believe in triple checking all of our work to make sure the job is done right the first time. I could go into detail how their "belief" statement is far from what we experienced. By the way, I will give them a kudo's for choosing Service Master....5 Star. Excellent work, and they personally called to make sure everything was done correctly when they received a copy of my "review of the project".....and were willing to immediately come out and fix anything needed......but they didn't need to....they got it all right the first time). Suffice it to say, they have some good skilled workers, but our impression is that the company is either challenged by managerial competency or a primary focus on profits. In either case, we were on the wrong end."

"Gave my home warranty company a false report. Asked for more details and no one got back to me. This is a long story. Read on. So my home warranty company, Old republic, used this company to come diagnose a leak in the bathroom. J&T sent out a leak detection crew, one of them was named Nick, and he said there were no leak in the pipes, but our toilet was installed incorrectly and we should fix the toilet first to see if that solves the problem. Ok, he sent in the report to my home warranty company and I was pretty surprised to find the following summary: Our copper pipes were rusted/corroded, toilet was installed incorrectly leading to flange corrosion and leak in pipes, they will need to dig up 2 ft of cement to replace the pipe and fix the toilet. Total cost will be $1800. My home warranty company denied the claim base on the toilet was installed incorrectly, therefore they will not cover the damages. You would think the story would end here, well you're wrong. This was way off from what Nick told us before he left, so we dug further, we actually lifted up the toilet and saw the toilet seems to be installed correctly. We are no plumbers, but the toilet flange was flush/level with the ground, there was a wax seal under the toilet, and we notice the wax seal was all dried up, that explains why the flange was brown looking. Not only that, we did not have copper pipes, and our toilet flange was not copper either, which was reported by Nick to our home warranty company. Our pipes are abs, black pipes, with abs black flange. I cleaned the debris out of the flange and it looks to be in great shape. No cracks or chips. The drain pipe also looks pretty good with no signs of rust ( I don't even know if abs can rust in the first place, hint hint). I called Old republic, to listen to the full report, and 90% of the report was about copper pipes rusting, I told them our pipes are abs, Old republic said if they're not copper then how did the tech get all that info on the report. That's what I want to know too. Welp, called Jenny, the admin/assistant for J&T, she said she will contact the tech about the findings and get more detail on how the toilet was installed incorrectly. I told her nicely that the tech's report seems like it's for the wrong house ( yea right, I was actually looking for them to explain why 90% of the stuff were false). So there's my long story, I don't know how their tech can mistake abs pipes for copper pipes, and mistake rust for debris either. Actually might as well say I don't know how their tech can mistake everything. Not to my surprise, no one got back to me. By the way, the leak was actually from the dried up wax ring, in case your company reads this review. If you don't believe this write up, I will be happy to post you some picture on here. My findings from my investigation were so incredible that I had everything documented and wrote up this long review. So if you still trust this company, then go ahead, but I will never trust this one after this fiasco. If I happen to need another service request and the home warranty system picks this company again, I would call and switch to a different one in an instant."

Hello and thank you for taking the time to get to know what we here at Easy Rooter Plumbing And Drain Cleaning are all about. I will get straight to the point. I have been in the emergency plumbing and drain cleaning service industry for the past 13 yrs. I started in one of your everyday typical rooter service companies and quickly began to realize that I loved working with people. I also realized that I was not too fond of the way the big corporations treated and micromanaged employees as well as viewed clients as nothing more than potential dollar signs. This allowed me to absorb as much as I needed on the technical side in order to start up my very own business. It took 8 long years to acquire the skills and resources needed to fully service and provide the best solutions for my customers. I am so happy and blessed to say that we now, 5 years later, have 6 full service trucks ready to serve you and your neighbors 24 hours a day seven days a week!
"I must admit my experience with Easy Rooter Plumbing and Drain Cleaning was amazing. As soon as I completed my online request for professional services (noting the urgency of our plumbing situation - both toilets down, low water pressure in some faucets, and no pressure in others, and brown goop with black specs flowing from all faucets ), my phone rang. It was the representative from Easy Rooter assuring me that she could have someone here to help within the hour, and she did. Juan arrived and quickly assessed the problem, and calmly explained exactly what was happening. He was very up-front about what could be repaired, needed replacements and the required flushing of the entire plumbing system. Juan was knowledgeable and professional throughout the ordeal. He turned a financially impossible situation into manageable monthly payments, with a reasonable interest rate, and spread out over 10 years if needed. He provided two payment options, with two very different overall costs and potential outcomes. My husband and I decided on a course of action, agreed to the terms of the contract, then we were all set for repairs to begin the next a.m. Juan explained that as the previous owners vacated the house (approx 3 yrs ago), they made sure to shut-off the main valve to the water softening system, but neglected to shut off the bypass valve. This allowed the water and remnants from the holding tank to seep back into the water softening system, then back through the pipes in the house. Certain parts were severely clogged and others damaged. Juan and his partner arrived on time the following morning as scheduled, and proceeded to restore clean and clear water throughout the house, and remove whatever was restricting water flow. The contaminated water softening system was replaced, and all new valves installed. Once programmed, the new system flushed all pipes and will continue to do so weekly. The team worked diligently for approx. 9 hours. When done all was running clear, and the pressure restored. They even hauled away all debris. My family is very thankful for Easy Rooter for being prompt and for paying close attention to detail. I would not hesitate to refer them to family and/or friends or to call on them again if needed."

The license requirements for water softener installation depend on your location. Some municipalities require that the installer hold a plumbing license, some require a permit and an inspection, but no license for the installer, and some require a permit and a license for the installer. Regardless of the local laws in your area, it’s always a good idea to hire a licensed plumber or installer. These pros will install your system properly and have the experience to size the system appropriately. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your installer’s license status.
Water softeners are worth the money if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water is safe to drink, but it poses serious threats to your plumbing system. The minerals in hard water will gradually build up on the inside walls of your pipes, reducing water flow to your fixtures. The minerals can also gradually corrode your plumbing system, reduce its lifespan, and increase the risk of leaks. Hard water also makes soap and detergent less effective. Water softener systems can solve all these issues, making them a great investment.
It’s possible to install a water softener yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Water softeners require working with copper pipes and electrical wiring, neither are suitable tasks for most DIYers. Plus, working with water and electricity together is dangerous and could pose a risk to your safety. Water softeners also need to be calibrated so that they don’t make your water too soft, as soft water poses just as many risks as hard water. Overall, it’s well worth hiring a local water softener installer to place your water softener system.
The cost to install a water softener system is $1,500 on average, ranging between $200 and $6,000. The labor for water softener work typically costs between $150 and $1,000, so you can add that to your equipment costs to get an accurate total. Your price will depend on many factors, including the following:
System capacity
Home size
Water hardness levels
Type of water softener
Presence of electricity in the installation area
Local permit costs
Your water softener size is based on your total household water consumption. In most cases, you can assume the average household member will use around 75 gallons per day. Multiply that by the number of people in your home, then multiply by 10 (for the typical grains per gallon). You’ll get a number in grains that should help roughly size your water softener. However, it’s best to hire a professional to install your system and use more exact numbers, like your exact average water consumption per day and starting water hardness.
