Went to get the AC fixed in my 2000 Chevy Tahoe in April 2012. Spoke to Matt and he quoted me around $400 plus parts ($398 for parts that I was allowed to purchase separately). The AC worked for one day then broke. Brought it back the 2nd time and they quoted me $550 to completely replace the rest of the system and all the clogged valves/tubes etc...When I got the car back the kids turned on the rear AC and it blew hot air. The mechanic didn't even check to see if the whole system worked. Brought it back the 3rd time and they wanted to charge me another $400 to fix the rear. I was told the 2nd time I brought the car in that the "whole" system would be new and would work properly. They never mentioned to me that there was a "rear" system or that there could possibly be another issue. I requested that they pay for the repair because it was their responsibility, but they refused (actually got mad at me for implying they did something wrong). If I had paid the additional $400, that would make the total repair over $1700. I had 2 quotes from other shops, including the Chevy dealer, to fix the entire AC system for around $1,000. This is not the first time they have strung me along for multiple repairs and additional charges. I will never go back to this repair shop and I'm going to tell as many people as I can to stay away.
