I am very dissatisfied with RV Paint Department in Fontana, CA. Raymond Lopez Jr., the owner, gives a great first impression, very personable and seemed genuinely excited about painting the exterior of my 23 ft., 1987 International School Bus. He appeared very motivated to restore my Bus into a fun RV. Raymond entered the agreement knowing that the project involved removing an aged vehicle wrap, then prepping and painting the exterior, and said the work would take about 12-16 weeks. He verbally gave this time frame to my husband and I, right before I signed the contract, and in front of 2 of his office employees. We dropped off the Bus on Feb., 13, 2017, and per the contract, I paid $2,300 cash to begin the project. On April 7, 2017, I got a call that the Bus was ready for painting and I needed to urgently bring in the paint deposit of $1,500 cash before the end of the work day, and I complied. Since April 7, 2017, he has said it will be painted in 2 weeks, and I have heard this over and over for 3 months ... until a couple weeks ago when he said the job could take now 2 years. To me this type of business practice is unacceptable. It's been in his shop since Feb 13, 2017 and in over 5 months, he is still stripping the bus, and it's still not ready to be painted. Our agreed $6,200 was a fair price, but now he says it's not enough to finish the job. Imagine in good faith and with a contract, bringing your RV or vehicle into this shop for repair or paint, and then having to wait for up to 2 years. Just taking way too long, and saying no time frame after accepting $3,800 in deposits ... very bad.
