Description of Work: installed quiet cool attic fan -- the size of my attic space made for a difficult installation; the crew was professional and relentless -- they took their time to make sure the install was done correctly and tested the unit before departing.

Description of Work: I initially purchased a whole-house fan deal for my 1960-built home without being aware of the venting requirements. In trying to get the work scheduled it came to light that the fan could not be installed due to fiberglass and blown-in insulation covering the soffit vents. My personal interaction with the company via phone was very good. My wife had somewhat of a phone altercation with one of the electricians who somewhat lost his cool after my 11-year-old son answered the phone; however, this was resolved and would not have stopped us from getting the work done.

Description of Work: Through a promotion from Angie's List, I purchased a whole house fan which Got Watts Electric installed. The owner Jeremy was very professional and explained the product, process and pricing in an easy to understand manner. His crew arrived on time and the work was done to the exact specifications that were initially discussed. My family and I are very please with the work done.

Description of Work: GotWatts installed a whole house fan. The price included labor and material. I worked with Jeremy on the initial planning and James performed the install. There was a technical error (that was probably my fault, truth be told) but James came back the day after the install to fix the problem and re-wire the circuit. These folks were clear and accurate in what they promised and how they executed the project.

Description of Work: I had an old Federal Pacific Electric main electrical panel and the house inspector had recommended that I had upgrade it. I was budgeting to do it later in the year but I was having a problem with flickering lights in the house and called Jeremy to have Got Watts come take a look. Jeremy came out personally and spent about 2 hours going through and debugging things (without charging me!) before coming up with 2 suggestions: | |1) They could start billing and going through all the connections in the house to track down the problem |2) They could replace the main breaker panel now (FPEs have been known to cause flickering) and if the flickering was still present they would do a few hours of free debugging work. | |I chose to do the second option. The crew came out ready to go on the scheduled date and did the job in under the estimated time (on the hottest day of the year so far!) The installation looks amazing, they really do make a bunch of metal look really d*** nice. Unfortunately the flickering was still present. | |The foreman came out (Jeremy's cousin) and did some work, replaced some breakers and found some really weird wiring problems (it looks like there is a shared hot somewhere.) It looks like a whole house rewire may be in our future but for now I replaced the light fixtures with LED ones (the LED didn't flicker, only the Halogen/Incandescent) and will be putting in AFCI breakers to protect myself against any potential arcing. | |I would absolutely recommend working with Got Watts for any electrical project and will be calling them when it comes time for a whole house rewire.

Description of Work: I was very pleased with the service and professionalism of Gott Watts. I had just purchased my home and it came with a lot of unsafe electrical wiring. Basically I needed a new main panel and ground wire throughout my entire house. Since I hadn't moved in yet, I decided to add recessed lights in my living room and Troy gave me a great deal!

Description of Work: The appointment went well. Jeremy was very professional, explained what the house needed, and explored with me what the possiblities are for updating and repairing my electrical system. He was very thorough. I most certainly would recommend Got Watts.

Description of Work: Since you asked, I will tell you what happened from my perspective....Jeremy, the owner of "Got Watts Electric" came out as a result of my purchase of a $49 electrical safety check. Jeremy couldn't have been nicer or more efficient on this visit, spending 2 to 3 hours with us, and in fact, both my cousin(who was visiting me and went through the entire checkup with Jeremy and me) and I were very impressed with him and we agreed that I ought to follow up and use him. He did say, when I asked if he could get some work done right away in a little bedroom, that they were booked out 10 days or a week and a half. Well, it turns out that Jeremy is an excellent salesman, but I know little else, as he didn't communicate with me for 3 weeks and when he did, he emailed me two invoices for work to be done. The next day I emailed him back saying that I definitely wanted him to do the big job, but that I had some questions about the smaller job in the bedroom and could he call me the next morning to discuss, which would have been early on a Monday morning, about 3 weeks after he won us over with his sales skills.....he never called, emailed or tried to contact me again.....it is my opinion, that Jeremy uses Angies list to attract clientele, gets much more work than he can handle and maybe picks the cream of the crop of clientele to work with; not a good model for some/many of his customers.

Description of Work: They were polite, but should be more specific about the work they are willing to do with the Big Deal.

Description of Work: I had them coming changing 5 lighting fixtures, which took less than 2 hours to get done. Their estimate for the job was $$601.92. After some negotiating they went down to $471.82, but that was still a ripoff. I wouldn't trust them again.

Description of Work: They changed out a damage 1957 50 amp breaker for a 200 Amp Service Upgrade. They had to put in a ground line to our hot water heater, put in an EV Charger 30amp/50amp inside the garage. They also got the permits. |The job went well, I opened up the garage door, left home, and when I came back the job was finished. |My furnace went out while they were working and Jeremy sent one of his electricians over to fix it. Great!

Description of Work: Installed 4 LED recessed lights, assembled and installed a ceiling fan, put all lighting on dimmers, and replaced the main circuit breaker in the electrical panel. | |The initial consultation went well, very punctual and businesslike. The day of the install there was some confusion on arrival time. They did call and keep us apprised of the delay. Three guys came so the work was done fairly quickly and in a very professional manner. Overall we were pleased with their work and would probably hire them again.
