The previous company couldn't do the part that was up between the walls because they would have to knock the tile down, but Cupertino Plumbing was able to get the job complete just  fine. I think the workmanship was great but sometimes you get a little confusion when talking with people in the office. Also, their scheduling was not that clear because they didn't clearly state it. I was mostly interested in the quality of workmanship and the price. I am considering hiring them for an additional project.

I had 3 estimates for the job and Frank Cardia ,the owner, was the only one who gave me a simple straight forward plan to install the drainage and water supply to the utility space. Unfortunatly, when he emailed me his estimate, he forgot to include the water supply pipes. It was not a itemized estimate, so I did not realize he had forgotten the water installation. I accepted the bid, but when his worker came to do the job, he knew nothing about installing the cold and hot water. I had to schedule a second work day (I cna only do Saturdays because of work) The next time the worker came out, he started to install the new copper pipes for the cold and hot water, but was concerned that he would break off the old galvanized pipes, and when he went to the main to turn off the water he insisted that the polyethylene piping that had been installed from the main to the house would fail and should first be replaced, and by the way, I should probably replaced all the old galvanized pipes with new copper pipes while I was doing it. I researched the polyethylene piping that had been done on the main, found out it was only about 10 years old and should last another 15 years, if not longer. The galvanized would have to go at some time, but as I have only owned the house for 1 year, I was not prepared to do a repipe yet, as I was in the middle of a landscaped job. The owner came to give me an estimate though, (after I called him to find out why he was late for the appointment, just like he was for the first estimate---he had forgotten the appointments both times) I expressed my distress with the information his worker was giving me, in the light of the polyethylene being well accepted by some plumbers, and the fact that I had already had to schedule 2 Saturday work days, and would now have to do a 3 one, when he had not indicated that it would take more than one in the beginning. He was apologetic, did give me a resonable estimate for a copper re-pipe, despite being on a concrete slab, and when the original job was finally finished, it is very satisfactory.

I recommended Cupertino Plumbing to my neighbor from past experience not knowing that they have been sold and not the same owners as before.   The experience was terrible.  The person on the job was very inexperienced.  It took a very long time to determine the issue, where another plumber diagnosed immediately.I think it is important to know that the business has been sold and is not the same Cupertino Plumbing that people may have used previously in the last 20 years.   The quality and experience is NOT the same

It was a terrible experience.  The lowest grade that we can give them on everything.  They left the house in a bad situation.  Part of the job was to take care of the walls after they tore them out, and they just looked awful.   The pricing was more, they didn’t do some things, and only because we crawled under the house did we find it and so they corrected it. They put the pipes into the water heater, and the inspector had to come three times to check it.  We are not even sure that it is right now, but the inspector didn’t want to come back any more.  They did it all wrong.  It was a bad experience.

Tom arrived on time, gave me an estimate of what the job would cost. He then proceeded to do the work and cleaned up after himself.

They have been around for years in my area. They have now moved to a new location, which is in another town, but it is still in the same basic area. The owner’s father had started the business. The person, who did the work, was with the company for a couple of years. He was about to go out on his own. On their most recent visit, I think I spent $500 on the job. I was working. I had called them because I didn’t have time to look for people. I knew they would do a decent job that I would not have to worry about. I would recommend them but I would not say they were the best plumbers I have ever used. The problem is that I have not used that many plumbers. The last worker that came out was great. I could not have asked for anybody nicer. He was very responsible, very punctual, very polite, and courteous. He cleaned up totally. He had to come back out a couple of times and I wasn’t home. I left the keys for him and I had no qualms whatsoever about that. There were only a few minor issues that I had with the company. It seemed liked it took them a long time to fix the bathtub leak. However, I am not sure how much time the work would have taken anybody else. I would use them again only if I don’t find anybody else.

I had Cupertino Plumbing re-pipe my house. When it was time to replace my old tankless hot water heater they were one of the people I called. Although they didn't give me the lowest quote I went with them as I was very impressed with the work they did on my re-pipe, not to mention that I was felt more comfortable with them continuing their work then another company. My only negative comment is that my installation date was about 3 weeks from the date I called them, due to how busy they were. Once the date came around they showed up on time & did the work just as described. The installation failed the 1st inspection in regards to the venting clearance not being up to manufacturer specs. I called to let them know about the failure & the same installer was out the same day to make the necessary changes. It passed on re-inspection no problem. In addition to the normal installation tasks the installer made sure that the new gas pipe was strapped down near the meter as he was concerned if their was a earthquake. All in all I am very happy with the work & ecstatic to once again have reliable hot water.

Cupertino Plumbing actually answered the phone (no voice mail or answering machine) and scheduled the plumber (Andrew) to arrive at about 1 pm same day. We touched base by phone and met at the house - I worked from home in the afternoon. Andrew did what needed to be done and now our water bill will go back to normal. Thanks very much to Andrew and Cupertino Plumbing for the excellent service.

It was a pretty major work. They did not live up to their words. Only one plumber out of the 4 who came was professional and did a high quality job. They were not punctual and on most occasions, not all the workers would turn up. Lot of work had to be re-done. They did not live up to my expectation.

PROS: Honored estimate that was several years old. Other plumbers have been impressed by the high quality of their work. Most workers professional in their conduct. CONS: Read the fine print in contract. Workers track a lot of dust from under the house inside the house, so cover up all your paths and furniture. One worker shorted out half the electrical panel and then denied he did it. Owner, Frank, was smug about it when saying that the contract stated that he wasn't responsible for electrical problems-cost us another $100 to fix that. He is legally correct, but his bedside manner needs improving. Did not apologize. Another worker wanted to saw through the wooden legs of an over-toilet shelf so he could do his work instead of waiting one minute for me to move the shelf. I wanted a bead of caulk put around the lip of the shower control faceplate-Frank said it wasn't needed, that there was a seal inside already. Ridiculous-why nit-pick about running a 10-cent bead of caulk on a $7,000 job? BOTTOM LINE: These guys can do good work, but protect your house from the dust and watch out for the electrical panel when they are grounding the pipes.

It went pretty well overall. They do a good job with what they do. They're very courteous and professional when they're here and get the job done in a timely manner. I think the price is reasonably agreeable.

It was terrible - quote said will be done in 5 working days - they filled the last hole outside 30 days after they started the work. Sent a fax nightly of things that needed to be done - NO response until withheld payment. They did not pull all the permits needed. Also had a line open and running into the street for 4 hours on a Saturday and their response was I was to call the city it must have been the water meter - NOT their mistake - when it was their mistake. Quote read we tunnel under landscaping as needed and we ended up with a big hole and lost many plants. Sent setter with last payment stating disappointment with service; again NO response.

They are absolutely fantastic and have very competitive pricing. They took care of little details that I had not thought about and never asked for more money than was agreed upon. They were good at explaining exactly what was done and were finished very quickly.

They fixed the problem. I think the price for this service was a little high. They also did a terrible job cleaning-up. They could have communicated a little better as well. They did show-up on time though and were very nice.

Cupertino Plumbing was terrific. They gave me a very competitive estimate (compared with four others) and were able to get the job done the next day. Instead of hiring day laborers to dig a big trench for the pipe, their regular employees came with a tunneling tool that avoided a lot of digging. Crew was very friendly, polite, and worked hard. Clean-up was excellent. I would definitely call them again.
