Sun Devil Auto - 27

On 12-20-12,  at 7 am, I dropped my 20 year old Toyota Van off at Sun Devil Auto on Bethony Home Road in Phoenix to take advantage of the ad in the paper. I had made the appointment the day before.  They listed a $129.00 service that was almost too good to be true.  I normally take my van several miles north of my home to have it serviced but this service location is a half mile from my home. The ad listed a 52 point inspection which included a transmission service, replace engine coolant and pressure test cooling system, and a filter and oil change among other things like rotating your tires. I left my vehicle there but was called back about an hour later and told that the mechanic had a problem with my car.  I returned to the location immediatly and was told that the mechanic couldn't remove the radiator cap and he was a big boy so they wouldn't service the radiator because they might damage the cap or the radiator.  I told him that I had  added water and changed coolant many times on this vehicle and the service manager called the mechanic to the office to verify the problem. The mechanic was somewhat rude to the service manager at being called away from the vehicle bay. "Yeah, It was the radiator cap as he had worked on this tiype of vehicle before." I then asked it they would lower my car off the rack and let me look at the problem. They lowered it with the service manager right by me but the machanic was nowhere to be seen.  I easily took the cap off with my thumb and forefinger using a slight twist.  The rubber washer on the bottom of the cap temporarily stuck to the radiator but had nothing to do do the taking the cap off.   I left the establishment and returned later to pay m;y bill.  I was told I needed service to my front and rear drive lines but I declined this .  None of this was listed on the final invoice.  I have been driving this vehicle for over a week now and no problem with the radiator cap.  I felt the radiator cap was obviously a ruse for either extracting more money from me or just not wanting to do the service since they probably wouldn't make much money on my vehicle.  I certainly would not go to them again.
