Victor was very personable and had great customer service skills. I had originally hired the company to clean the main drain, which he did, but also asked if he could fix a running toilet and asked if he could help fix the ice maker on my refrigerator. He fixed the toilet quickly and easily, and although he couldn't fix the ice maker, he helped me get the ice bin back in and gave me a reference. Great service!

My experience was very good. They were very responsive. They're very good and very effective. They were there when we needed them even though we weren't a previous customer there, they responded promptly and took care of the situation immediately, all this is on a Sunday. When the contract with the other company expired or if we can't get hold of our primary contractor, I would definitely call Day & Night again.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Day and Night. Their technicians are extremely knowledgeable and personable. Jeff came out for a whole home plumbing inspection last week. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and even gave us a few tips and suggestions in between. He checked our water heater which is now 7 years old and past its warranty. He examined the tubing that's attached only to find part of it was melting. Good thing he checked....he said that it could be giving off carbon monoxide (eek!). We also had a leak in the plumbing of our master shower. Jeff came out again today to inspect the damage (after a wall was removed), give us a quote, and call and speak to my insurance adjuster. All at no charge. I should be paying him to deal with my insurance company, not getting complementary inspections. He'll be coming out early next week to replace our water heater. Thanks to Jeff for finding all these little problems (which could very easily turn in to bigger problems). Did I also mention he found some issues with our irrigation system? Problems (aka violations) that our home inspector missed? Jeff is an awesome plumber and the only one will be using from here on out (though I'm sure all of Day and Nights plumbers are equally qualified). Honest company and employees (many of whom are veterans). Another bonus? They are always, always on time. Even though he normally is 10-15 minutes early, he arrived at my house right at 3:00pm today because he knew my husband would just be waking up (he works nights). FYI, Angie's List members get some MAJOR discounts. I got over $200 off my new water heater. Beyond satisfied with Day and Night. What a great company:)

Great. I called and he was here within about 45 min. Great, cost effective service.

Plumber was in hurry to finish the job. I never got the report after inspection was finished. I also did not recieve the quote for the repair work which was promised by plumber. It was waste of money.

I could not have been happier. I called to have my toilet repaired and it was done for $114 dollars. Then the rep who fixed the toilet said that he could deduct the cost of the repair from the cost of a new $300 toilet. I honestly believe that spending $300 on he new toilet which was very reasonable will save me money in the long-run since I have had problems with the toilet and have had to get it fixed many times before.

When they arrived there was a little sanfo about which toilet I ordered, I got the one with the the self closing lid. No problem! They told apologized and came back the next day with the right one. I was super pleased that they were eager to please me. They came back the next day and the toilet was in super quick. I have recommended them to my parents and they have already used them. Though my parents said they were a little spendie on the service call I was happy to spend the $290 on the toilet and installation.

A/C wasn't working. First guy they sent out mentioned two parts that might need replacement, but specifically told me that they weren't the cause of my a/c going off. He was able to restart the a/c. I was doubtful that the problem was suddenly gone, but I paid for a service call, and he left. A few hours later, a/c went out again. Frustrating, but I knew that there was a problem, which is why I called them to begin with. They sent out a different tech, who said that the two parts the first guy mentioned were, in fact, the very reason why my a/c was shutting down. I wish I had been told that the night before, but I don't hold it against them. Human error is normal, and I believe the first guy had every good intention of trying to save me money. I do think it's odd that with an expensive repair, they don't waive the cost of the service call, but it is what it is. I'd hire them again.

I highly recommend Day & Night Air Conditioning Heating and Plumbing. The entire experience was great from the phone call to schedule the work to the plumber that came to do the repairs. The person I spoke to on the phone was very efficient and scheduled my repair the same day which was important because I was unable to use my kitchen sink. Jeff, the plumber who came to my house was amazing. He was friendly and very knowledgeable offering many helpful tips to prevent clogs. He also took the time to thoroughly clean up his work area when finished. I will definitely use this company again and I will recommend them as well. :-)

We've had Day & Night service our AC units on several occasions. We decided to try them initially due to good reviews on Angie's List. Their staff are neat and professional. They've always called ahead, and arrived on time. No complaints there. While the level of service we received was adequate overall, we've found them to be less than desirable in the following areas: Don't expect same day repairs. They tend to require several days lead time to get parts in. The fan blades in one of our blowers went bad, and it took 2-3 days for them to get the part in, and an additional day to actually do the work. I called around, and several other companies told me they were able to get the part same day, but we went with D&N anyway. More recently, our AC compressor motor died, and they said it would take 2-4 days to get it in, meanwhile other companies said they could get a new OEM compressor the same day. Their prices are over inflated. We had them come out to do a preventive inspection/cleaning of the system, and they found one of the blower run capacitors was weak. They charged over $130 to replace this $15 part, which takes literally 5 minutes to replace. More recently, I got a quote on replacing our 4 ton AC compressor which died, and they said they charge a flat rate of $2620.00 + tax for parts & labor, plus a 2-4 day wait on parts -- a lot of money for a $600 part. I called around and several other companies were willing to do it for almost half the cost, same or next day. One competitor even offered to replace the whole unit for less than what they quoted for just the compressor. In fairness, I also got a quote for over $3300 from one of the other top rated companies on Angie's List, so they aren't exactly the most expensive either. On a side note: Several of their technicians are a bit on the heavy side. We were quite concerned to see some of them try to make their way up into our cramped attic space in the middle of summer. We were concerned primarily for their safety, but also with the structural integrity of the areas where they were working. Bottom line, shop around. While Day & Night does do quality work, some of the smaller companies with less overhead will do the job faster and a lot cheaper. I will personally not use be using D&N again.

They did a good job. They were knowledgeable.

It went very well. The workers were diligent and responsive. The old system was fifteen years old but they used what they had for the new system quite effectively. The representative I spoke with for the system estimate was helpful with knowing local rebate and federal tax credits for the work. Other companies I contacted didn't know this.

They were professional and performed the services quickly! Would definetly reccomend and will be using them in the future.

When our hot water heater began spewing gunk, it was pretty obvious the end was near - even with a flushing and new anode I knew it was only a matter of time. So, with a new baby in the house, I decided we needed a new hot water heater and we needed it NOW. Made a few phone calls and Day & Night, although they were the third one called, were the first ones to call back (within 5 minutes). The plumber (Jeff O) promised to be at our house with a new water heater within the hour - and did so. Jeff was polite, friendly, knowledgable and had us up and running in under and hour including a new water heater, new supply line and new overpressure hardline (my self-repaired job didn't meet code). He took the time to flush the lines, check the temperature, and give me a rundown on the new heater. The price was a little steep but you get what you pay for - in this case, hot water in less than two hours from the time of the call on a Saturday afternoon. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to call Jeff O again for any of my plumbing needs! Thanks!

Very well, the serviceman was extremely professional and completed his tasks in a timely manner. I have no complaints about the experience and I appreciated his insight and recommendations.

Dispatcher was very courteous and professional. Explained that plumbers were in meeting and will be calling when one will be on the way to our house. Plumber (Jeff O.) called as promised and he had arrived at our house a few minutes before I did. He identified where the leak was located (within drywall partition) and explained what the repair work entailed (removal of toilet bowl, cutting drywall on side opposite to shower stall). Work progressed rapidly, Jeff identified that the ball valve that shuts off the main water line to the house was not closing completely so we had to do so at the water meter valve. Now, we'll let the partition wall dry, will repair the drywall and call Jeff to re-install the toilet seat. We are very satisfied by the level of competence and professionalism that Jeff displayed. I showed him miscellaneous work to be done on outside hose bibs, that we will have him perform when he comes back, as well as the main valve replacement.

The experience was fine. In the process of doing the work they chipped the porcelain on my tub. When I called them and told them about it they did send someone out to paint the chip, but it didn’t look good. They did eventually come and fix it entirely at no charge and it looks fine now. They made it right at their own expense. The management was pretty responsive as far as calls went. I tried a new plumbing company because of the Big Deal, but I’m going back to my old plumber.

No service performed....no call back to schedule

I called the company and set an appointment time (between 10 am and 1 pm). I asked for a call half an hour before the service person would arrive so that I could miss as little work as possible, and they promptly agreed to do that. On the day of the service I received the call close to 10 am. When I arrived home, Jeff was waiting for me. Jeff was great! As I noted above, he was very informative, telling me how things work and how to keep drains flowing well, He was also very personable and we had a nice conversation while he performed the services. Jeff not only cleaned the drain out, but when he was finished he cleaned the tub, leaving it shiny and clean! As I also noted above, he cheerfully provided services I had no reason to expect him to do, such as fixing my kitchen door (how many plumbers will do that for you??) and replacing a flapper in the toilet. Jeff also pointed out some problems with my plumbing, thoroughly explained those problems, and showed me what he was referring to. I will definitely have Jeff come back to do the needed repairs and will recommend Day & Night to others. All in all, Jeff was a delight!

I gave him a check for the services and because my computer didn’t work he had to go all the way back to the office to get a receipt. I thought that this process was crappy and I would never give them an A grade. I will never call them again for any plumbing work. He really ticked me off and embarrassed me when he said they have had no issues in 6 months with this process, but because my computer didn't work he couldn't give me a receipt right away.

Excellent experience overall. The serviceman showed up promptly, checked every bit of plumbing in my house, and cleaned out my master bathroom shower drain, which had been smelling. It's now clean and fresh, and I am very pleased.

He wanted me to pay another fee to extend the check-up out to the spring. I didn’t want to and he spoke very loud to me and I felt intimidated into purchasing the larger deal. I was supposed to call him in the spring to schedule the appointment but I didn’t want him to come back at all.
