About us

Guin Service began in 1958 as a group of specialized mechanics to compliment Guin Company s mechanical contracting company. W.C. (Bill) Guin knew that to have a successful contracting company he must have top mechanics to start-up and service contract jobs. Over the years the contracting company grew to one of Alabama's largest by doing quality work and providing exceptional customer service. In the mid 90 s as the top management of the company began to retire, the decision was made to discontinue the mechanical contracting division. Because of the loyalty of the employees of the service department and their many customers, the service company became an independent operation. Through the leadership of Ricky Lockhart, Manager; Keith Rotenberry, Assistant Manager; and Peggy Rice, Office Manager, Guin Service Company has continued to thrive. Associates Marvin Watson, Richard McDonald, Dewayne Todd, Tommy Thrasher, Jay Guin, Gary Rice, and their teams, have continued the legacy of friendly customer service. Each associate is highly qualified with 20+ years experience. As everyone knows, to have a successful business you must have the best people and Guin Service LLC has the best. Guin Service LLC has been in business since 1958 and strives everyday to make sure that customer satisfaction is guaranteed. Guin Service LLC is also a Certified Service and sales dealer for Generac Generators. Joseph Braswell, a fourth generation member of the Guin Service family, started working with the company Jan. 2011 as the Director of Marketing and Customer Service. It is Joseph's goal to continue to build upon the reputation of Guin Service LLC, through community involvement and an unwavering approach to 100% customer satisfaction.

Job 1: After being stood up by two other plumbers, I contacted Guin based on their Angie's List rating. They were able to come out the same day. They were supposed to call before coming, but didn't. The plumber, Richard, apologized stating he forgot but usually does call first. Richard and his helper, Blake, were very courteous and professional. He quickly identified the problem and repaired it promptly. Job 2: Guin Service is a great plumbing company. They always show up on time or call if they're going to be late. The workers are always clean, courteous and professional. There is never any mess left for me to clean up. They are the best plumbing company around.

I really liked that he came out so fast after I called them. He did a very good job and was polite. I was worried that it would be a huge mess around while he was fixing it but he took the time to make sure everything was neatly placed and that he cleaned up after himself.

Our air conditioner is located in the attic above the bedrooms. We were always afraid if we were not home the drip pan might over run and leak all over and into the downstairs. We had them install an electrical line to the attic and put a switch on the end to kill all the power up there if there is an over flow. This is for safety and so it just doesn't keep over flowing into the downstairs. It only took about two hours to do this. The electrician knew exactly what we needed. We are very pleased. We used them before over the last ten years with good results.
