I brought my car in for several small leaks they fixed those but bent the drift shaft pulley i brought it back to fix this but they changed the idler pulley instead. I also had them fix oil pressure sensor and cruise control ,when my wife picked it up the battery was dead which was odd cause it was brand new, they got her jumped to get her out of there, when she tried to drive down the highway it would only go about 50 and she had to stand on the gas pedal to go that fast. This was after waiting 2 months to get it fixed. I brought it to another mechanic and he said that the sending unit was the wrong one and broken when installed , the cruise control cable was wadded up in the corner under the hood, the battery ground cable was barely connected to the block, and the bracket on the throttle body was missing. Now today I discovered that my front main seal is pouring out oil And it is because of the bent pulley. No matter what your reason is find a different garage, I have never had a worse experience in my life. I spent over$2000 here and had to spend even more to fix the the things they damaged on my car. The biggest mistake I made was going back again and again.

When I went to pick up my car the receptionist took my credit card and ran it. It was then I saw they have a 10% discount for students (I qualify) but she just shrugged and said “next time.” I asked if they made sure the pressure in my tires was correct and this same person assured me, rather sarcastically, that of course they had. I finished up my transaction and forgot to do a visual on my tires. When I got home I noticed one tire was extremely low-15 lbs to be exact. I do not live close and did not want to go back but I called to complain and this same receptionist insisted they had filled the tires. She put the blame on me! Said I must have run over a nail or something. She accepted no responsibility, typical today. I went to a local gas station and filled my tires (the other 3 had 29 lbs respectively). This was three weeks ago, my tire is holding air just fine. The mechanics may very well know their stuff (except how to fill tires), my brakes work, I assume they replaced them, but dealing with the receptionist soured me on this company. Good luck if you go there.

This Spring our 2001 Oldmobile Aurora suffered a head gasket failure after overheating when a radiator hose burst. The aluminum heads on these motors are notorious for this, and at 175,000 miles anyway, it seemed to make more sense to replace the motor rather than attempt changing out the old motor's head gaskets. The car's otherwise excellent condition made this a no brainer, so I purchased a brand new motor from General Motors which Mike's excellent mechanics installed for us at a very reasonable cost. This is not an easy fix, as the front undercarriage must be dropped to swap out the motor, so professional help and a good shop was a necessity! Since we are on a tight budget it took several months to save up the money for the repairs, but Mike patiently worked with us to make sure everything got done in a timely fashion once the motor arrived from GM. We're very happy with Mike's responsiveness and care for his customers. I was raised in a mechanic's home and do many repairs myself and know when someone does good work, and I'd recommend L & M to anyone requiring repair help on their vehicle!! They're professional and reasonably priced and unlike many shops are honest with the customer!

It was great! They were very professional and they did a good job. It was obviously very expensive, but there's no getting around that. It is a typical garage with typical things that are always at a mechanical shop. It was extremely expensive, but it could have been more expensive if I went elsewhere. I was able to get in the shop rather quickly. I didn't really have to wait. It took a little time for the work to get done on my truck but they got it done, and they were very flexible as far as payment went because I told them I needed to have some time to drum up that kind of cash, and they told me it wasn't a problem. My truck was stored in their secured yard so I didn't have any kind of worries about that.

L and M Motors, Inc. did some work on both of my trucks. On one of my trucks, they did a complete service. Front end work was done on it, there was some electrical work, and some brake servicing done.

We have used L&M in the past and feel they are fair and stand behind their work. Though we had made an appointment it took several days for them to get to the car, diagnose the initial problems and them fine tune the solutions. I certainly do not have the expertise to figure out the sophisticated electronics on newer cars and rely on their integrity to solve the problems. The check engine light was more than a bad sensor which jumped the overall cost by $500. I like Mike the owner and feel he does his best with his crew. I would suggest he try to be more prompt especially when folks make an appointment and rely on just one car. Car repairs are frustrating for both parties at times so I understand. Having had poor results with dealers over the years I will always opt for an outfit like L&M. We will use them in the future. They stand behind their work tho they get behind in their work.

I have mixed feelings about L and M. On the positive side, Mike was very friendly, and professional. This shop made their best effort to do it right, and they repaired my car at a good price. My issue is their shop is hopelessly overbooked, and it took them a long time to even get to my vehicle. Since I scheduled an appointment for my car, I expected them to get to it faster. I guess the problem with being an honest mechanic is having too much business. I probably won't go back because I can't afford to wait that long for the repair.

Either through incompetents or something else almost everything they "fixed " I had to bring back and required more time in the shop to get right. In one instance they replaced a part that was not broken and in the process may have damaged another part that was connected to it (the chrisler dealers opinion when I had the other part replaced) . They were happy to refix warranty things quickly but several things were problems that they "missed " and therefore cost more money. | I took my vehicle in initially to have all the leaks fixed . In the process caused a leak (that they later fixed under warranty) . After four return trips and many days without my vehicle, one of the seals still leaks and even though it's covered by there warranty I will not be waisting any more of my time taking it back to them. |The first time time that I picked up my vehicle (before I knew better) we droped off my wifes car, and the story is basically the same. They had her car for a total of 28 days.

Service within reasonable period. Unfortunately, charging system problem,battery drain recurred. Business said they would honor 90 day warranty, and outcome of new effort awaited. Over many years L &M has provided reasonably priced and competent service.

Besides fixing a few things, they told me I needed to go back to the dealer and have them replace an item that they had just replaced before. Apparently, the item was not made right and was still under warranty. They gave me a lot of information about the problem spot and about how to deal with the dealer.

overall F. i chose them based on the ratings from angie's ans other ratings. maybe i was the anomaly, it started with a very awkward scheduling appointment, dropped the vehicle off the night before and asked the lady if i needed to show anyone the issues i had... "we are a professional company" was her reply. she called to say they couldnt get my van in the day of the appointment, then friday got the same call. sat, sun, no call monday, tuesday i got a call saying the tech working on my van got into an accident (horrible) and they would have to look into getting someone else to finish. wed, thurs, firday i called and the lady told me again about the acciedent and it was out of her control (a professional company has more than one tech) but re assured me they "wern't charging me for having the van there so long" " I WOULD HOPE NOT". Going on 1 week, called monday they still had no idea, promised a call back (didnt happen) tuesday i called and said i needed it by wednesday, wednesday rolls around and they had to allign it, (am) by 530 they called and said it was done. -i had gaskets, bushings, water pump, RV battery rear seals and rear breaks done. when i went to pay i had a $50 discount from angies list and the bill came out to $150 more than the quote, i asked about the overage and she rattled off this and that with no explination with one being break cleaner (thought that was part of the quote or the "shop supplies" charge) they add to every ticket. at this point i needed the van and was fighting the urge to have "words". got into the van and the inverter had a wire sticking out iof it and when i grabbed it it arched on the inverter, i brought it to there attention and of course they had no idea why it was like that... and the lights didnt work (one of the things i paid for and they said they "took care of", pulled out of the shop fuming and almost rear ended someone in front of me because the breaks were beyond spongy, they were to the floor and i couldnt get them to lock up if i tried... called them and the lady said no one is hear any more so theres nothing we could do until tomorrow, i asked if they road tested and she came back with a condisending remark "another great example of a professional shop" i brought it back, had to take time off work and they took another day to "adjust" the breaks and charge the battery. I spent $2,500 for 2 weeks of a huge pain in the rear. i will never come back and will not ever recommend L&M to any of my firents or co-workers... the worst experiance i have ever had.

L AND M MOTORS DOES NOT PROMISE SAME DAY SERVICE ON MOTORHOMES. THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION HAD BEEN SITTING FOR A LONG TIME WITH SEVERE RUST ON ALL SUSP. AND BRAKE COMPONENTS WHICH TAKES MORE TIME TO DEAL WITH. WHEN (removed member name) DROPPED THE VEHICLE OFF WE WERE UNDER THE IMPRESSION HE WAS NOT IN A BIG HURRY. YES THE TECH THAT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF REPAIR WAS HURT BAD IN A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT WHICH MENT WE HAD WAIT UNTILL ANOTHER TECH WAS FREE TO PICK UP WHERE HE LEFT OFF,WHICH CAN TAKE SOMETIME TO GET UP TO SPEED. WE ARE SO SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG FOR THE REPAIR AND THAT THERE WERE SOME ISSUES WITH THE REPAIRS. I NOT MAKING ANY EXCUSSES FOR THEM JUST TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT THERE'S A LOT MORE TO THE STORY THAN MEETS THE EYE. NOT BEING ABLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THE STARTING TECH UTILL AFTER THE COMPLETED REPAIRS CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS GETTING EVERYTHING PERFECT SOMETIMES. THIS IS NOT THE NORMAL ENDING WE LIKE FOR ANY REPAIRS HERE AT L AND M MOTORS AND IF (removed member name) HAS ANY ISSUES WITH ANY OF THE REPAIRS I AM WILLIING TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY TO 2 YEARS IF THAT HELPS ANY AT ALL.

The check was done promptly while I was there. The mechanic was very good, knowledgeable & answered my questions. It was determined my alternator had failed. The estimate to replace it was $289... a bit spendy for a job I did myself in an hour w/ a $73 rebuilt unit. I've had L & M work on this same truck 2 other times w/ Very Good results. A complete tune up, rebuild of the rear brake system & a seal replaced on the transmission. All done well & in timely fashion. The other work was the replacement of the fan belt & the fan tensioner assembly. Again done well & quickly. I'll try them again in the future... however I was a little put off by the expense of the alternator estimate. It just goes to show you, a little knowledge can save you Big Bucks....

Did what appears to be a thorough diagnosis and wonderful report about that diagnosis. Confirmed the problems we thought were present and discussed condition of the auto. they were one day late with the repairs but once begun accomplished the repairs in a very expeditious way. Did not return calls but when they were contacted they were very professional. The car runs 100% better. The cost was a bit more than estimated but all in all I am happy with their service and professionalism. Thank you.

Repaired my 4Runner at less than 1/3 the cost quoted to me by the Anchorage Toyota dealer. The desire were finished on time at the exact price quoted. So far m, this appears to be quality work. I will definately use L&M in the future.

They did not charge for more than was needed. That part was outstanding. Did a good job on what they fixed. That was good. Price was ok. They did take two weeks to get to the work which was originally supposed to take 3 days to get to, so the vehicle sat at their lot for that time waiting, and they put my inquires off when I called. outside of that great.

Next time I go I will ask them to give me a $$$$ estimate. They told me hours and cost of parts, but not $$$ and it came back more than I had planned on.

Check engine light was on. They changed out some sensors and changed some bushings in my clutch. They also cleared the sludge from my engine, changed the oil. Car is running great now, no more check engine light, clutch seems more responsive.

Service over the phone when first scheduling an appointment was great. Immediate openings were available along with weeks in advance which we scheduled approximately 2 weeks. The day of we got there before opening an waited even though they have services to drop your vehicle off and describe services needed on pre-made service cards. They arrived on time and were very helpful and attentive and finished the work in a timely manner. We were happy with the service and the price seemed to be a lot better than multiple other places we had called before hand. We called a few places then checked Angie's list where I saw L and M and scheduled it right away. Excellent service all around great people and would be happy to use them again and refer them to friends and family.

My car got fixed for a good price. I wish it had been a bit faster, but overall I am satisfied.

They are very prompt when answering phone and very helpful. They were accomodating when I needed to drop my car off early, and pick up a day after it was done. I did not like that I had to call them to find out what the problem was and how much it would cost. I was told I would get a call when they were done looking at it to determine the problem, but when I called after not hearing something the part had already been ordered and they were in the process of fixing it. I took my car in on a Thursday (I made an appt), and they didn't even look at it until Friday. I only have the one car so I was disapointed that it was not at least looked at on the day of my appt. That being said once the work was done they did a good job and after calling around they have good prices.
