Well, I've used their services for a while. They call me annually and check on the furnace and thermostat. Recently, the thermostat has been reading things a little strangely, or so it seems. It may be just me. I've not had any problems otherwise.

They offered a replacement thermostat. I declined citing that the price was too high. He seemed to take offense. Technician also made a judgement, without sufficient evidence, on how the unit and old thermostat had been used. I felt that both of these things were handled in an unprofessional manner.

Lovelace Service was great. We had moved into the house and the house just wasn't getting warm. He said the breaker on the heat strip was off. He replaced the thermostat to an easier to understand model. He checked everything and went all up in there and said nothing needs replacement. They were really helpful. He was an all around nice guy

My water heater that i purchased from advance 3 years ago quit working, the water heater itself was still under warranty but the parts inside were not so I wasnt happy with the quality of the water heater. The plumber that came out was great, he replaced thermostats and returned the next day when the water heater started tripping the breaker, turns out it was the bottom element going out, overheating thermostats and thus tripping the breaker. At least that was the nontechnical explanation. Water heater is doing good now, no complaints

The person who came to give the estimate was excellent and very thorough. The work turned out well. They did everything on time, were courteous, and cleaned up well. They are also doing all the paperwork for a rebate I'm getting. I would recommend.

The service was great. The guy is always nice and courteous. I have absolutely no complaints.
Overall, it went OK, I guess. They did a so-so job for HVAC work for this area (NC). Regardless, this is Kernersville, which I think is a higher standard. I believe I paid more overall and expected more in return. POSITIVE: They were typically agreeable to work with. The duct work was OK overall. They put white goop on the duct seams, which I had never seen done before. This makes it more air tight. They did a good job overall in cutting wholes through the floor for the vents. NEGATIVE: Instead of using expanding insulated sleeves for the duct work, they used regular insulation and duct tape. They thought they did a good job, but in some places the tape and insulation came undone within two weeks. A sleeve would not become untaped, there is no tape. One place where they cut a whole through the floor, they had to snake the duct work to twist around. If they had just moved the floor vent a few feet one way, this would not have been necessary. For one new supply duct, my guess is that they ran out of metal duct, so to make what they had work, they repositioned my dryer duct. I thought this was dangerous. The metal dryer duct work was already a 25 foot +/- run to the outside. Dryer lint is a major source of house fires. I did not want any kinks in my dryer duct work to cause a house fire. My house has a crawl space. Where they installed a floor vent in the far side of the crawl space, they threw the wooden pieces of the cut flooring in an obscure corner and left it. I thought this was lazy and unprofessional. They thought I would never see it. Guess what, I saw it. Upon my request and with my initial refusal of payment, they did fix most of my issues except for the biggest one. The biggest problem I had with them was that I specifically asked them to wire my Skuttle Steam humidifier to NOT control the furnace blower. They failed. It was wired differently at least twice but this still did NOT fix the problem. They could have used a mechanical sail as a switching mechanism but they refused or couldn't figure it out. Their final solution was to lower the humidifier setting so it would not engage the furnace blower, thinking I would not notice it until I paid them their money. Sometimes in the winter my house blower runs for DAYS because the humidifer keeps it activated. Jason pressured me into paying All Year before I was satisfied with the work they did. He made me feel like I was a skum bag, like I was not going to pay them or I was asking too much for giving me what I requested. After the fact, I learned that both Honeywell and Aprilaire humidier models allow homeowners the choice of 1). Having the humidifier control the furnace blower until the humidity levels rises sufficiently (ACTIVE) or 2). Requiring the furnace blower to be active AND the humidistat to be engaged to activate the humidifier (PASSIVE). This was NOT available with the Skuttle Steam humidifier. I would NOT use All Year again, at least until they fix my problem. I am currently seeking someone else to upgrade my Skuttle Steam humidifer to use a sail switch and 240v model AND to use an Aprilaire bypass humidifer to be the primary humidier, that has a switch mechanism allowing it to NOT control the blower

I came home last night from working a 12 hour shift in the ER to find my central a/c unit dead! I called Day & Aldridge first thing this morning, thinking "here goes at least several hundred dollars!" Last year I had a similar experience, and Mooneyham charged me $200 to come out and replace a fuse! Ronald called me back right away. He walked me through some things to check on over the phone. He told me how to change the fuses in the unit. I bought fuses, but unfortunately that did not revive the a/c. I know he was busy today. It was our first day in North Carolina with temps over 100 degrees! Since I have used them in the past, he was at my home within a few hours. I was shocked, thinking it might be Monday before they could come look at it! He tested the unit, and it turned out my thermostat was bad. He replaced my thermostat inside the house, and I couldn't be happier! Ronald was courteous, professional and tried to help me do it myself before coming over! I will not use anyone else!I know that my 12 year old gas pack is on it's last legs, and when the time comes to replace, I won't consider using anyone else

Fantastic job - would definitely hire again. Used this company through my home warranty. Took the time to explain what was going on with the unit, and worked for hours to ensure it was working properly. Replaced transformer and multiple fuses in a VERY old unit in an old home, and gave me some helpful advice after on maintenance of the unit. Great family and group of people - would def hire again
