After failing a county inspection of my septic system, it was discovered that my septic pump had stopped working. The alarm, that should have indicated the failure, also was no longer working. By sheer luck, the inspection came shortly after the failures. Otherwise, things could have gotten quite messy. B & M was very responsive and eager to help. Despite calling them late in the afternoon, they were still able to come out the very next day. They quickly identified the issues and gave me an estimate. After agreeing to the estimate, they immediately cleaned out my septic and pump tanks. They also removed the old pump, in preparation for replacement, once the new pump was available (expected the next day Thursday). Everything was put back exactly how they found it and no mess was left. They left the old pump, outside of the tank, only after asking me if that would be OK. Due to issues with their supplier, well beyond their control, the job lasted a day longer than communicated, due to delays in getting the required replacement parts. They communicated status and apologies from both the office and service person levels, multiple times. They also offered me the option of doing what work they could initially or waiting until all the remaining work could be completed in a single visit. I opted for the latter. So after contacting them on Tuesday afternoon, the job was started the next day (Wednesday) and completed two days later (Friday morning). B & M was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Not only did they replace the pump, but they also identified why the only 3 year old pump had failed. The system was clogged with roots causing the pump to run much more often than it should. Their cleaning of both the septic, pump tanks and splash box was done without mess and the soil, removed for access, was replaced. The installation of both the alarm and tank was done quickly and professionally. I will continue to use them for my future septic maintenance and service needs.
