The oven was perfect in the width but a little short for the space. David installed additional wood that matched the grain of the wood in our kitchen. All that is left for us to do is stain the wood. He had to move the electrical box and do some cutting to get the cord from the stove to the box to fit, but he did it. He had to cut the space larger for the cooktop, and again, excellent work. David was very professional and skilled. We also needed a double outside spot light installed on the second story and he agreed to do that for us. He hauled away the old oven and the old cooktop as well as the boxes and cleaned up the area. When you have appliances to install you better call David Halstead or you will regret it. David quoted us a cost of $325 but we paid him $350 - well earned!!!

When the installer arrived, the oven would not fit. The installer was concerned and apologetic about the mistake, and he tried his best to find a solution. The original salesman, when contacted by the installer, was too busy with sales inside the store to be at all helpful. He seemed unconcerned about his mistake and uninterested in helping to rectify the situation, although the installer was willing to stay until we could solve the problem. At this point, it had been two weeks since I purchased the oven. In the end, the salesman offered a lesser value oven at the same price as the first oven. His final offer was to waive the installation fee, but he still offered the lesser value oven at the same price as the original oven. The installer was terrific, Hart Appliance sales guy, not so much. Frustrating

Luis Manchola -Appliance Repair
Luis installed the board and he told me to use the oven/broiler to make sure it is working well. Yesterday, I used the oven without any problem. Since the oven is old, I will forgo using the Self-Cleaning option because of the high heat that is needed for cleaning. Luis recommended that I use a cleaning product for ovens instead of risking a problem and yesterday, he called me to see if the oven was performing properly

We called Ed to come out and look at it. He showed us where the burner/heating unit cracked. He ordered a new one for us and installed it. He came to our house twice and his total bill was 144.00. This included the part he had to order, shipping and his service fee. If we ever need any appliance work again, we will definitely call him

He spent maybe three minutes here. He checked the elements but I had already removed them and checked them. Then he told me it was the mother board. Which is amazing considering the oven wasn't even plugged in and he didn't touch or test any part other than the elements. Then he told me not to get a GE even though they historically rate highest in sonsumer satisfaction. So I wonder if he even knows what he's talking about. He didn't give an explanation of why he thought it was the mother board

This is the 2nd time I have contracted David Halstead to install Wolf-Sub Zero appliances in my kitchen. He is the ONLY person I would used to install my appliances whether Wolf or not. He is a very meticulous craftsman and his knowledge of wood fabrication (to prepare the shelving for the installation), electrical requirements and the actual installation are excellent. If you have new cooktops, ovens, microwaves etc to be installed - I highly recommend David Halstead. Note: Hart Appliance, a local Wolf dealer, used Halstead as well

Everyone else said I would have to replace the entire oven, which is odd-sized and would have required a major kitchen remodel. When the new thermostat failed after a few months, he replaced it at no charge, and it has worked beautifully ever since. Talked with Vince who was very professional and knowledgeable, and scheduled a service call the next day. Chris, the service technician called that he would be able to come earlier than scheduled and was professional and thorough in explaining the problem. He was able to replace the igniter that he had with him, without having to order the part. The cost was very reasonable and I was impressed with the people and service. Will certainly use them again in future for any appliance repairs

Several months after moving into our new home we began smelling gas coming from our oven. Since the repairs were still under warranty we were connected with CAS, who does the warranty work for Ferguson's, where we purchased the range. An appointment was set up within a day or two, and a technician, Chance, came out. He told us right up front that sometimes it takes several attempts to get the oven regulated perfectly. He adjusted the oven, tested everything, and told us to call if we had any more problems. We did have to call a couple of more times, and each time Chance came out and tweaked the adjustments. He consulted with other techs. as well as with Frigidaire to make sure he was doing everything possible to solve the problem. We appreciated Chance's positive attitude and professionalism, and we liked the fact that it was the same tech. who came out each time so he would know the history of the problem. It's been a few days, and we have not had the gas smell, and while we wished it could have been fixed the first time, we understood, right from the start, that it would take several attempts

The needed part for my 20+ year-old stove was no longer available, so the repairman could only open the door and then take off the locking lever so that no one would try to lock it again. I was pleased with the courteous woman who answered the phone and handled scheduling, as well as the repairman who came to my house. I did have to wait a few days for the repair, but I did not identify the problem as an emergency when I called and so that was not a problem. To come out to look at the stove was $67. After they did that, they added the labor and it came out to be around $200. The man was good but for what they did, the price was high. He unscrewed a little part and screwed in a new one. It was a quick fix. You have to pay for the labor, you have to pay for him to come out before he even touches it, and then you have to pay for the part. It's expensive. I guess you have to pay for good. He did an excellent job and he came quickly

Great experience. Originally called to get information as I knew the information I was seeking would not be available over the phone from the big box home improvement stores. And I thought I'll get the information I need and then purchase the double oven at a big box store to save money. Dave was most helpful over the phone. Patient and very educational, he walked me through the measurement process, told me what size I could buy and over 3 recommendations. I did my price research and lo and behold, Harts was priced better than any of the big box home stores! Took my wife with me to the store where Dave showed us the unit and carefully explained everything. Excellent! Turns out it was an internal blown fuse (non-user serviceable) but Brandon from Appliance Dr diagnosed it quickly & efficiently and even had a new fuse with him. Within 30 mins of his punctual arrival we were good as new. And with the junk appliances they are building these days (which are designed to die in no more than 5 years) I'd bet this 1994 model will still be running in another 20 years. The perfectly fine Whirlpool Refrigerator which we purchased at the same time as the microwave and put in the basement after we opted to upgrade to a stainless look has outlasted both a brand new Samsung and an LG. They just don't make anything like they used to but Brandon and Jim @ Appliance Dr provide very competent, old school service, especially compared to the clowns that were sent out to "fix" our broken dishwasher and fridges under Lowes extended warranty plans but who could never get it right and damaged our house in the process of trying! BTW, They don't have the shop on Webb Ave anymore and work out of their homes

Manoli and his team were a pleasure to work with and did an excellent job! He coordinated with the folks who were putting in new granite counter tops to minimize the time the job would take, handled all the necessary plumbing disconnect and reconnect, in addition to installing a wonderful new subway tile backsplash. It totally transformed my little galley kitchen! When I experienced an issue with my oven not turning on after the job was complete, Manoli kindly came out the next day when he wasn't at all scheduled to, and resolved the issue--merely a tripped breaker that newbie me didn't even know was there! I was so grateful for his thoroughness and willingness to assist. All of his crew were so friendly, warm, and pleasant, and turned what was an unnerving experience as a first-time homebuyer into a total breeze! I'll definitely be calling them again in the future

We were and still are very happy with the work Custom Electric of NC did in our Sum Room addition and Kitchen renovation last Fall. We added multiple lighting fixtures in the kitchen including recessed. pendant, and under the cabinet lights which made it a more enjoyable living area. The winter that followed was quite severe with several storms during which we lost electrical power. Fortunately, we had a generator and Custom Electric designed and installed a new generator panel with the electrical circuits we wanted for emergency use. Thus, when we lost power, the generator allowed us keep our central gas furnace, our refrigerator, freezer, and several appliances such as the coffee maker, toaster oven and microwave functioning. While many Greensboro homes were cold and dark, we stayed warm and comfortable. The generator and the generator setup and panel that Custom Electric installed proved to be a godsend. We would highly recommend Custom Electric for any electrical work. Pat and Bill Schwartz

Within a month my new water heater's smart module would not go into the standard mode. I called Whirlpool and they sounded like this had happened many times before. They overnighted me a new module and gave me a reference number to have it installed and billed back to Whirlpool. R&R was going to install my new double oven and thought they would be able to replace the smart module that I had received. I got a call from Lowes that said R&R would not be allowed to replace the module but I needed to have a Whirlpool factory rep. to do this. The only one they recommended was Mark Friddle Plumbing. I called Mark and he dispatched a tech for the next few days. Jason was very professional and had worked with water heaters for a number of years. He replaced the module and told me what to do in case the module failed again and I had to wait for another replacement. He did an excellent job and I would recommend Mark Friddle Plumbing to anyone
