The service people were on time and professional. They had to replace the main circuit board of the oven and the new one quit after a couple weeks and they replaced it again under their warranty. The second one has held up fine since it was installed on February 19, 2016. I really liked that I was able to complete the request for service totally online and was provided the appointment date immediately. I did not have to call anyone to set up the appointment.

Provider found problem promptly. Unfortunately, the replacement part was no longer made, and, after searching diligently, found to be no longer available. They were professional and pleasant to work with.

The oven was perfect in the width but a little short for the space. David installed additional wood that matched the grain of the wood in our kitchen. All that is left for us to do is stain the wood. He had to move the electrical box and do some cutting to get the cord from the stove to the box to fit, but he did it. He had to cut the space larger for the cooktop, and again, excellent work. David was very professional and skilled. We also needed a double outside spot light installed on the second story and he agreed to do that for us. He hauled away the old oven and the old cooktop as well as the boxes and cleaned up the area. When you have appliances to install you better call David Halstead or you will regret it. David quoted us a cost of $325 but we paid him $350 - well earned!!!!

When the installer arrived, the oven would not fit. The installer was concerned and apologetic about the mistake, and he tried his best to find a solution. The original salesman, when contacted by the installer, was too busy with sales inside the store to be at all helpful. He seemed unconcerned about his mistake and uninterested in helping to rectify the situation, although the installer was willing to stay until we could solve the problem. At this point, it had been two weeks since I purchased the oven. In the end, the salesman offered a lesser value oven at the same price as the first oven. His final offer was to waive the installation fee, but he still offered the lesser value oven at the same price as the original oven. The installer was terrific, Hart Appliance sales guy, not so much. Frustrating.

Luis installed the board and he told me to use the oven/broiler to make sure it is working well. Yesterday, I used the oven without any problem. Since the oven is old, I will forgo using the Self-Cleaning option because of the high heat that is needed for cleaning. Luis recommended that I use a cleaning product for ovens instead of risking a problem and yesterday, he called me to see if the oven was performing properly.

We called Ed to come out and look at it. He showed us where the burner/heating unit cracked. He ordered a new one for us and installed it. He came to our house twice and his total bill was 144.00. This included the part he had to order, shipping and his service fee. If we ever need any appliance work again, we will definitely call him.

I had contacted them through AHS for several repairs, my stove was the only one completed. I wanted him to look at the control panel of my dishwasher. Itis a touch system and the start button is beginning to peal. He told me that since it still functions, it didn't warrant a replacement. My refrigerators filter cap had broken off and he told me he didn't think it was covered under the AHS contract. My water dispenser is measuring out the wrong amount of water, he told me he had never seen one that could do that. I felt he was a bit condescending towards me.

He spent maybe three minutes here. He checked the elements but I had already removed them and checked them. Then he told me it was the mother board. Which is amazing considering the oven wasn't even plugged in and he didn't touch or test any part other than the elements. Then he told me not to get a GE even though they historically rate highest in sonsumer satisfaction. So I wonder if he even knows what he's talking about. He didn't give an explanation of why he thought it was the mother board.

This is the 2nd time I have contracted David Halstead to install Wolf-Sub Zero appliances in my kitchen. He is the ONLY person I would used to install my appliances whether Wolf or not. He is a very meticulous craftsman and his knowledge of wood fabrication (to prepare the shelving for the installation), electrical requirements and the actual installation are excellent. If you have new cooktops, ovens, microwaves etc to be installed - I highly recommend David Halstead. Note: Hart Appliance, a local Wolf dealer, used Halstead as well.

Recent Review: Talked with Vince who was very professional and knowledgeable, and scheduled a service call the next day. Chris, the service technician called that he would be able to come earlier than scheduled and was professional and thorough in explaining the problem. He was able to replace the igniter that he had with him, without having to order the part. The cost was very reasonable and I was impressed with the people and service. Will certainly use them again in future for any appliance repairs.
