Service was excellent. Expertise of installers is top notch. End result turned out exactly like I hoped for. Not the cheapest alternative, but great quality.

After purchasing the new door (we gave the salesman a 25% deposit), a technician came out to take measurements a couple of days later. The door was ready about 3 weeks after that and installation was scheduled at our convenience. The installer removed the old doors and installed the new sliding door quickly, cleanly and efficiently

He had to knock out a wall and turn it into a door. Knock out windows and turn them into doors. Job went smooth only took a few hours. Will definitely have him back for other updates. His price was very reasonable.

I would highly recommend Andy Greene and Sim Gaddy (and his team) from True Traditions! They replaced all of my windows including some transoms and arched windows, as well as two very large picture windows and a large sliding door in my walk-out basement. Additionally, I had some reconstruction done around my front door, which entailed replacing a large amount of rotted wood. Sim is incredibly meticulous and treated my property, both inside and out, with great care and respect. He helped remove and replace window treatments and covered all the floors where they were working. He even vacuumed up after removing the carpet covers. Each day, Sim would let me know what the plan was for the day and at the end of the day, he would summarize and let me know what was next. Sim will probably tell you up front that he doesn?t hurry, and weather can definitely impact the schedule at times. But, knowing that up front made it OK with how the job went. I spent the first week at home just to see what was going on. After that, however, I was entirely comfortable with giving Sim a key to come and go, as he is always on site. I have honestly never been so happy with a contractor or the results! In my mind, Andy Greene and Sim Gaddy are truly upstanding individuals. While True Traditions frankly told me that they wouldn't guarantee significant home energy savings, my first gas heating bill after the work was completed said otherwise. Granted, my old windows were over twenty years old and didn?t fit well. But, the new ones obviously make a difference

This was my second time using Handyman Unlimited (Richard Byers) services. I was as pleased this time as I was the first time both in the quality of work and the overall cost. Both times I have used Richard's services, his daughter assisted him. This time his daughter assisted mostly with painting and did an excellent job. Richard was always on time, professional, attentive to details and delivered a quality product. I especially liked the fact that Richard would make suggestions on the work I needed to have done, but not in a pushy way. I appreciated his recommendations as he has been doing this type of work for years. I will definitely call on Richard for any future needs. In fact, I am having new front/back entry doors installed on Monday 6/11/12. Richard has already agreed to paint both doors after they are installed. I will contact him on Tuesday 6/11/12 to determine a date.I also have plans this year to paint the interior of my house. I will definitely contact Richard when I get ready to do that. One last comment. I do feral cat rescue and have several cats in my house as well as a colony of cats outside. This is a passion of mine and the cats inside the house absolutely cannot go outside. Richard was very sensitive to this and understands that any service he performs, such as the upcoming painting of the interior of my house, will most likely have to be done in phases. I have to secure the inside cats in 2 different rooms while painting is being done in the other rooms. I very much appreciate his sensitivity to my "special" needs

Very well. The installed door looks great and the rear door shows no sign that it was even repaired. Very pleased. Please note: This is the third job I've had Greg Maier do for me. I wouldn't call anyone else.

Our salesman Dave (who also did door maintenance) was very knowledgeable about product and about garage doors in general. Was able to answer our questions about doors in general, as well as specifics about our wants and needs. Crew came on day of install (hour later than we were told was possible) and spent day installing door. Door looked and performed beautifully though slightly out of level. (crew mentioned that they had trouble with this 18ft door as vast majority of installs were 16ft doors). After a call, our salesman Dave (who also did door maintenance) came at appointed time (2 days later) and performed door tune up that leveled door, resolving issue. Would recommend these guys again

Eric Cook, a general contractor, owns and quot;Home Renuand quot; and works out of both the Triad (Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem) and Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill...) areas. I asked Mr. Cook if he could fix some problems in my small home in order for me to turn it into a rental property. (I was a single mom and had purchased a 2-bedroom house before I remarried and we moved into my husband's house.) Mr. Cook offered a free estimate that was easy to understand, thorough and reasonably priced. Mr. Cook even helped me work out an agreeable payment plan (win-win) that enabled me to do the work. Mr. Cook began work in February of 2011 and the house was ready to rent mid-March. I was able to get my house rented for more than my original rent rate by April 1st! The response was overwhelming! Several couples who were interested in renting the house said it was one of the most beautiful rentals they had seen. I had 2 renters in line in case the first couple did not qualify! Mr. Cook did a really quality job bringing out period details (the house was built in 1947) in his choices of neutral paints for the walls and moulding, painstakingly repairing and cleaning the mozaic tile floor (tiny, square tiles in an intricate black and white pattern) in the bathroom, and fine-tuning the landscaping to help the boxwoods and pre-established garden stand out along the main walk. You always hope you can find a and quot;service providerand quot; that will treat your project with care and detail. I know I have a hard time choosing someone from a list in the yellow pages, internet searches, etc. that I can trust to do the whole job, a good job, not overcharge me, and someone you can count on. I have complete faith in Mr. Cook and Home Renu after seeing what quality work looks like. Also, knowing that Mr. Cook can be a resource for all things home improvement-related, I won't go searching again

I CHECKED AROUND AND FOUND THE COMPANY THAT HAD A GOOD PRICE AND HAD BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I WAS SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY'S WORK. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD USED THEM.
Greg and his helper were very professional. He determined that the door would need to be replaced. I was not in a position to do that at this time. They did adjust the strike plate on the lock so that the door would close tightly. This was greatly appreciated. There was no charge for the estimate and the temporary solution. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others

Lifetime Windows and Doors is a very friendly, professional company. Did a great job! The price was relatively high, but very worth it. Be cautious about just getting a vendor with the lowest price- quality costs more but in the end is a better choice.

This was a bit confusing. I went on the website and filled out the form (HD) to go to Floyd Roberston Plumbing and got a call back that stated that someone would come from either Brown Summit or Burlington to look at my water heater which has a drip at the drainage pipe (a very small drip I might add). She told me that the cost of a new GE 50 gallon wh would be $318.12 (included tax) and an installation/carry away charge of $249. Not a bad price I thought. Then I got a visit from Sowers Plumbing in Eden and he tried to stop the drip and was not successful, and I asked him for a quote on the same GE heater with installation and he gave me a handwritten quote on the back of his card for $725.00! Then he asked me for a check for a trip charge @ $40 made out to Home Depot (no one had mentioned the trip charge but I suppose this is customary with HD and I wrote him a check. Big difference in price (Floyd Robertson Co., the contractor for HD quoted $567.12 installed and the rep that came out quoted around $160 more) What gives
