The dispatcher and service tech worked together to shift their schedule in order to provide me with immediate service and I greatly appreciated that. They removed my nonworking swimming pool (inground) pump and replaced it with a new one. The service tech was friendly, knowledgeable and did excellent work. I found Southern Spa on Angie's list and will continue to call on them for all my needs in the future instead of the pool company I have used for the last 8 years -- The Pool and Patio Shop in High Point, NC, who never did a job right the first time, always did sloppy work, and was just an all around hassle to work with. The details are this: I had placed a service call with Pool and Patio several days ahead of time to coincide with the exact day that my new pool pump would arrive from a third party. They did not show up on the scheduled day to do the work.. When I called to inquire, I was told that now, it would be several days later before they would be there. I became frantic because my pump had been broken down for about 5 days and no water had been circulating; plus, in 2 days I was scheduled to catch a plane to California for a long vacation. I started searching for another company to quickly do the work; however, several phone inquiries all gave me the same answer in that it would be many days before I could receive service. Even Southern Spa gave me this initial response, but when they heard the desperation in my voice they changed their schedule to accomodate me immediately. It was less than 2 hours from the time I made my initial phone call to Southern Spa to the moment my new pump was installed perfectly. Amazing!!!!! Southern Spa was truly my hero that day.

Two appointments scheduled. He was a no show, no call on both attempts. We made a third attempt yesterday again asking him to come out. No return call. Nothing. My advice, unless you want a brand new underground pool installed, he will not take your job. Repairs seem to be of no consequence for any local pool businesses located in Winston-Salem, Rural Hall, King areas. This is a **** poor way to run a business. Don't waste your time with this company!

The first couple of times I utilized Holiday's services I was relatively pleased; response times and repairs were adequate and reasonably priced. Most recently, however, I called Holiday in the middle of May, 2013, requesting they come out to look at our broken pool heater. I believe they showed up sometime within a week, but am not sure as they did not call me to confirm. I finally received a call on May 23, during which I was told that they needed to replace a circuit board, and asked my approval to order the approximately $300 part. I authorized the order. Apparently, they removed the existing circuit board when they checked the heater (causing the chlorinator to no longer work). Over the next few weeks, both me and my husband made calls to Holiday inquiring as to the status of the repair (assuming turnaround time should be no more than a week to receive and replace the part). Once we were told that they were way behind, other times, we left a message asking for a return call, which we did not receive. Finally, I reached someone on June 20 (now, a month past the original service call). I was told someone else would have to call me back. My call was returned later that day and I was informed that they'd "have to look into it - that the part may have gotten overlooked in the shuffle." I asked that they please call me back as soon as they could determine what happened and advise when the repair could be finished. Five days later, I had not heard back from Holiday, so I called yet again on June 25, asking for an update on my heater repair. During this call, I was told I could expect the repair to be made this Thursday or Friday (June 27 or 28). As of this writing, it is June 25. It remains to be seen if the repair will be made by the now anticipated date. Regardless, I believe a month and a half is a ridiculous amount of time to pass for the nature of the repair. I am even more upset by the lack of responsiveness to my requests for status updates, and Holiday's apparent disregard for customer service in general. I has been one month since the part was ordered, and in that time Holiday has not reached out to me once to advise as to the delay or when I could expect the replacement to be installed. Not only have we been without a pool (or spa) heater, but we have also incurred extra maintenance and cost trying to keep the pool chlorinated since the chlorinator has not been working (we have a saltwater pool) since Holiday removed the circuit board over a month ago. Needless to say, I will not be utilizing Holiday's services again in the future.

I asked The Bizzzy Bee to come and remove the rotten wood from a window. Since their employees are trained in many areas, I also had them look at our hot water heater which they ended up replacing the next day and they also stopped a leak in our crawl space. The owner came out and measured our pool and he did absolutely thorough job. I was quite impressed with it. The people who works for him were very attentive to detail. He was very much in charge of making sure that everything was done and everything was done correctly. He is a very nice guy. They did an excellent job. We have used some other people compnay before this and they botched up things. It really does make a difference in quality of workmanship and attention to details especially when you talk about replacing pool items. I am going to call and use them later today or tomorrow.
