CARPET ONE BY HENRY
First let me be clear that the two men who did the work were outstanding. They knew their stuff, we very neat, and top notch all the way. I would let them come into my home anytime. My issue came with the staff at the store. They did not call when they said they would, were next to impossible to reach and very unclear as to the process. The crew had to make a return trip to my home that was just completed today 5/29/13. They returned to install the transitions that were late arriving. On the initial transition install day, the installer had a family emergency and could not come. The project manager waited over 4 hours to notify me that the crew would not be coming. I wasted a large part of the day waiting for a crew that was not coming. His answer to me was and quot; sorry, I should have called soonerand quot;. Each time I had to deal with someone other that the install crew, they were late or non-reponsive. I again emphasize that the install crew did a fantastic job, I could not rate them any higher. The rest of the operation would leave me no choice but to go in another direction if I need those services again

Distinct Painting LLC
Paid $4500 for whole house interior painting(wall, ceiling, baseboard, everything) + cabinets + stair spindles, etc. The job was not done and he lied to me by sending blur pictures. and they left all the trash everywhere in the house, in my yard, and in front of the house. Kitchen cabinets knobs are not put back neither. The dining room is not finished with paining and other rooms have spot not painted. Also he charged additional $850 for installing laminate flooring rooms and new vinyl flooring for bathrooms. The job was not done neither. The floor is levered and there are popouts and twisted flooring every room. Bathrooms floor not replaced at all, the laminate floor was installed horribly, no transition from room to room(carpet/vinyl to hardwood), the stair spindle was not installed back. On the 2nd day of the job, he asked for more money otherwise they will not do it. After we agreed to pay another $150 for bathrooms, he still did not finish the laminate floor work as described above and dragged for two more weeks and did not do anything with bathroom floors too. Stay away from him and my property management took all the pictures and we are bringing it to court

I would never recommend them. They are awful. The seams show, and when I called them about it, they told me it would be remedied by vacuuming. We had to have our floor replaced after they cut it with a band saw.

Got You Floored
Erin Kivela of Got You Floored came to give us an estimate for replacing our laminate flooring in the kitchen and 1/2 bath of our home. We wanted 18 inch tiles, installed on the diagonal with thinset grout. Erin gave us a bid of about $1500 to remove the old flooring and install the new flooring. The work was to begin on a Thursday and be completed on a Saturday. Two problems arose during this job. One problem was that not enough tiles were ordered--in fact, two more boxes needed to be ordered to complete the job. This meant that the quick 3 day job was stretched to a 7 day job, complicating the pick-up and delivery of appliances we wanted to have installed. The other problem was that I was never clearly told that I, the customer, needed to arrange for a plumber to come and take out the pedestal sink and toilet in the half bathroom before the floor could be installed. This was not written in the estimate. So it came as a surprise to me that suddenly, I needed to arrange for this and pay for this added cost on top of the flooring work. I needed to shoulder the cost of the sink and toilet removal AND the placement of them again, after the floor was complete--a cost of about $300 or so. Erin was extremely apologetic about this mistake and for not being clear from the start that this was my responsibility. The tile flooring looks great and Kevin and Paul did an excellent job setting the floor. But overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Got You Floored

We used Way-Car Enterprise to redo our floors throughout our house. We took up all the carpet in living and bedrooms. They put down LVP (luxury vinyl plank) and it looks fabulous. Way-Car tour down our old 10 x 10 deck and built a beautiful 16 x 16 coming off the back patio doors. There team of guys we awesome 9n how quick that did the job. I will definitely use the again in the future. I used Way-Car to put in new patio doors at our lake house. Very reasonable on their price

job turned out very nice.new floors look great.crews usually showed up near or on time and worked about 10 to 12 hrs days.we had a writen estimate before work was started and it took about 10 days from the time we gave the go ahead until they were able to start.when work was complete there were a couple of minor issues which were taken care of promptly.owner james weeks came to do a final inspection.(i m told he does this on every job)we did not have to put any money out up front and paid the bill when job was complete and we were satisfied

We wanted to have laminate flooring (that we purchased ourselves) installed in our family room. The job required removal of the existing carpet and padding, installation of the flooring and shoe moulding, and covering of a couple of transition areas with other wood. Although their estimate was the lowest of three, they included more labor and materials than the other two companies. They paid attention to the little details (like buying and staining the shoe moulding and putting oak hardwood flooring in the transition areas) that the other companies did not offer to do. They came exactly on time, did the work very efficiently, and left everything clean. The quality of their work was excellent. Above all, they were very courteous and professional. After they removed the carpet, they asked me to look at the flooring that was underneath it. They pointed out that it was pine that had been painted, and that I could have the paint removed and the wood refinished instead of covering it with the laminate. They said that they did not do refinishing, but if I wanted to do it, they would stop the job and charge me for only the removal of the carpet. They would have lost the rest of the job, but it was important for them to be honest with me about what they had found. The final cost was exactly the same as the estimate. After they left, I discovered that they had forgotten to put a door back on its hinges, and called them to see if they could come the next day to take care of it. They apologized profusely, and came first thing the next morning. I was surprised at how bad they felt about it. This company is outstanding, and I would recommend them to anyone.
